      We should get both Bol Bol and Wiseman. Both affordable, with tremendous upside. Plus, after the Lakers make some trades this summer, they will need some talent off the bench behind AD and LBJ, but they can also form the a new towering front-court when LBJ retires. Look, the way things are going now in the NBA, teams are starting to realize ‘small ball’ can work, but it can be punished, and that it’s just one of many ways to skin a cat; not some optimized style for the ‘modern NBA’ bullshit. When most of the league catches on, there is going to be a gold rush to grab these towers up, because it’s not like they aren’t skilled and completely raw. Hell, even Giannis was raw though, and look at him now.
      I would also like Isaac, but I don’t think the Magic will give him up, because they know his 2-way potential, which is why they have been patient for him to recover from his injuries the past couple of years. They are actually invested in him. The Pistons are not invested in Wiseman, and the Suns are not invested in Bol Bol.

      @Eastra3 Месяц назад +1

      He is young. Most players are drafted high for offensive potential, and have to be coached up on defense. Wiseman is offensively talented, but his defense is bad. His defense isn’t doomed to be bad forever, but now it’s time for a coach to do their job and instill defense into a growing player. If Wiseman was 30, and still playing trash defense, then I’d say give him a hard pass, but he’s super young. He’s just got to be coached is all. AD can make a good mentor for him.

      When you draft young players in this day of distractions, you can’t expect them to be fully mature professionals at 20-25. Some are, but most aren’t. The Warriors weren’t really ever invested in him, because he never fit their scheme or immediate plans of contention. If he did, they would have worked through his immaturity until he matured, which is common for most teams. Look at Zion. Pelicans punished Zion for not being serious about his diet for 3 years, but they never just traded him. Wiseman is just as talented, but didn’t have people around him who were invested in his success as a Warrior. Then the Pistons are more invested in Duran, because he is a better player than Wiseman right now, but if Wiseman is coached up, he can be elite.

    • @Eastra3
      @Eastra3 Месяц назад +2

      Drummond wasn’t bad at all. They added him in the buy-out, which is a bit after the all-star game, so it’s late in the season, and now you have to get him caught up on all the schemes, and then there was no chemistry. Drummond and AD front court did well right before the playoffs, and against Phoenix, they were dominating, but then AD re-injured his groin, and LBJ couldn’t carry us without AD, and Drummond and the rest of the role players got scapegoated for it. Lakers still tried to resign Drummond, but offered him a vet min, and he thought that was an insult. The Lakers didn’t think he was a bad fit, they just didn’t want to put a lot of money in a center spot, because they planned to trade for another superstar, which we know would be Westbrook.

      Warriors let him go for a reason, inconsistent and no motor

    • @Eastra3
      @Eastra3 Месяц назад +3

      He’s young man. How many 20-22 year olds are mature??? Look at the Pelicans and how they invested in Zion despite his immaturity. Dude got a prostitute pregnant, and had baby momma issues between his girl and this other woman all over social media to see, and wasn’t serious about his diet for 3 years, and they stuck with him, because they were invested. Warriors were not invested in Wiseman ever. They were not a bad team in need of a superstar. The Pelicans desperately need Zion to become a superstar. The Warriors already have Steph and other guys who can win chips. They only drafted Wiseman so they could trade him later, since he was the best prospect at their pick, and would in turn give them more capital in a trade. The same thing the 76ers did with Okafor, which killed his career in it’s infancy, and Okafor produced well in his rookie year, but stupid stigmas about him being weak on defense, and at best an Enes Kanterm which was had a long career in the NBA, caused many teams to see him as a bust, before he even did anything worthy of becoming a bust, and the negative media killed his career. The same thing Almost happened to Ayton, and it may happen to Wiseman if he doesn’t get on a team that is actually invested in developing his defense. Look at Jokic…he was a defensive liability too, and he’s still very slow footed, but because the Nuggets like his offense so much, they figured out a way to hide him defensively, and it payed off. Many superstars are not 2-way players, and have to be surrounded by good defenders, but you don’t see people using that as a reason to not build around them. I say this to go back to your main point about a motor, because when you are a young prospect who was drafted high in the lotto to be a superstar scorer in the league, coming in to GS to be a role player who has to focus on defense, because Steph and Klay are going to eat the lion’s share of shot attempts, will not exactly be fun and motivating. For a defensive minded player, that’s not an issue, but most young players aren’t defensive minded, and so it’s hard to get excited and motivated for that stuff. They just needed to get him more involved on offense, and work through his defensive growing pains, but he got injured, and also because the Warriors were focused on winning games, not developing, they couldn’t wait on Wiseman. Wiseman is still an elite prospect, and the team that recognizes this will be blessed. I hope some team invests in him before his career rots away due to unfair criticism for a young player.

    @MrMinty827 Месяц назад +3

    I'd actually love to see KJ Martin with the Lakers. I've been watching him since he entered the NBA a couple seasons ago, and this guy I feel like is a potential hidden piece. A technical small ball 4, undersized but utilizes crazy ass hops and athleticism, decent perimeter scoring and way above average defender. On Houston he averaged 10/5/1 with 54.5% FG and 34% from 3 in his first 3 seasons in about 24.2MPG, which isnt bad for versatile small ball 4. He can be a matchup nightmare to guard in the pick and roll, easy explosive lob threat whether it's in the fastbreak, or the dunkers spot. This could be the Lakers counter to Aaron Gordon, seeing that they play similar roles, but I'd say Kj is a better defender. He's also not an injury prone player, which could be a huge plus. He's definitely a pretty effective rebounder, and has a 39 inch vertical, easy pick and roll scorer and capable interior defender, which I feel can help in the backcourt. When he was put in Philly, his numbers and minutes diminished extremely, which I thought was very detrimental for him because he was limited to showing his skills. Hopefully if the Lakers sign him, he'll get around 20-22 minutes, maybe sub 25. Also, Lakers should keep Cam Reddish because he's still a defensive minded perimeter presence that can hit big shots, while also being young and athletic, and a decent 3pt scorer, which is definitely something the Lakers need to keep in mind, especially since defensive consistency and pressure was a big issue during the season. Also, I wouldn't mind bringing back Lonnie Walker IV for the sheer fact that he was pretty good when he played in LA, and showed to be a reliable 3&D player that excels in transition offensively and defensively, while shooting around 37% from 3pt range that one season And I definitely remember the playoff game that he played against the Warriors; the "Lonnie Walker 15", where he dropped 15pts in the last quarter alone in Game 4 of the 2022-23 NBA WCSFs against the Golden State Warriors. If the LAL can get those 2 on a veteran minimum, as well as Andre Drummond, Dwight Howard, and another high level offensive minded guard, there can be no excuses to the LAL not making it to the NBA Finals.

    • @Eastra3
      @Eastra3 Месяц назад +1

      I like most of what you said, but Lakers shouldn’t waste their time on common SGs. There are many players just like LW in the league, and Max C with more playtime will be just as good if not better after a year of consistent minutes.

  • @jodychappell
    @jodychappell Месяц назад +2

    Don't want Reddish back to be honest..wish him well but he's not what we need.
    Wiseman would be a gamble worth taking on a minimum. Would LOVE Lonnie Walker back. We desperately needed that skillset this season.
    DLo could likely be gone. Could leave you with Austin, Gabe, Max as your main guards. Having a ball handling score first threat off the bench is needed with that combination of talent. Starting Austin and Max, Gabe and Lonnie off the bench gives good two way versatility for both line ups.

    I believe they should go after James.W because... I believe he has un-tapped potential. Also, I believe they should go after Bol Bol... He's very talented... but lacks motivation! Who I think they should go after more than two players... are Mac McClung and Boogie Cousins!

      If Zach Edes falls to them in the draft, they need to draft him at all costs. I don’t know if the media downplay on Edes will actually work though. He should be a lotto pick, but somehow analyst think he’s a 2nd round prospect blows my mind.

    @JSM Kevin Porter Jr. You have an assignment. I have been writing and researching his execution for months. You should make a video of Kevin Porter Jr. how he is currently playing and if D'Angelo Russell is traded for a tall player like a center Porter Jr. can contribute with youth, defense, explosiveness and can score. That's something the Lakers don't have. He would be a proven and super economical player since we don't have much money 💰. He would be amazing.#ElNico

    Fire the entire front office if they do this. None of our reclamation projects have worked even under a brilliant trainer like Phil Handy who isn’t even there anymore. The roster wasnt perfect but I’d keep Hayes who showed glimpses of promise, Ham was just Haming it up. We also have woods. Get a big bruiser Big man, we already have skilled and athletic bigs.

      If Zach Edes falls to the Lakers at 17, just draft him as your future center. Draft Analyst are downplaying him so he can fall to a certain team, but you have to be blind to think he’s not a future superstar. I wonder if all this talk about him being a 2nd round pick is going to cause him to not get picked in the lotto.

    • @triggerbogarin9702
      @triggerbogarin9702 Месяц назад

      @@Eastra3 I like him but then I think we'll have too many bigs. In my dream scenario AD and Sengun would start and Bol and Wiseman would come off the bench. Bol is capable of playing 4/5. So Wiseman would have to be the one to not get picked up by us. In which case Edey is gonna have to be very good for us.
