What would be your "dream scenario" for the Lakers during the offseason? Comment your thoughts down below!

My ideal starting five would definitely be
PG: Dejonte Murray
SG: Alex Caruso
SF: LeBron James
PF: Jarred Vanderbilt
C: Anthony Davis
Main scoring, LeBron, Davis, Murray. Point of attack defense, Caruso, Murray, Vanderbilt. Maybe put LeBron at PF and Vanderbilt at SF, just like Jaden McDaniels. This backcourt reminds me of Derrick White and Jrue Holiday. Three great defenders for the guards in the west. Don't really know about the bench as yet. But hopefully a solid one.
Fire rob pelinka hire jsm
@@ZXgV1000they’ll go on streaks of terrible 3pt shooting with that lineup. I think cp3 lavine bron markkanen ad is better. 4 lob threats 2 snipers who dont need the ball, crazy athleticism and fastbreaks and still be decent on def with their size
For real Lakers fans NOT wanting a painful and long rebuild my recipe is simple. Get 'Bron to the Knicks, Magic, or Mavs in some kind of 3 team deal that brings in young talent / picks to build around. If D'Lo is still around after that deal try to package him and whatever assets are left Nobody wants an old man AD at $70m so ride that out for a couple seasons and hope the new young core can grow enough that AD isn't a buyout in 2027
You said IDEAL - wouldn't taking Goga over TP would be ideal?
Videos like these are why JSM has the best Lakers content. Great attention to detail and visual representation.
There’s not a lot of competition but yeah, i agree.
This is the kind of lakers team to come out the west especially beating denver
Vando and Caruso is a nightmare for offense
For opposing team and for ours as well 😂😂😂 kidding aside, if Vando becomes respectable from 3 and further develops his passing, they can be a really good pairing
@@CrowKage8I don’t wanna be negative but sucks that Vando lost a whole year of potential offensive reps that he desperately needs.
Also imagine Max Christie and Hood-Schifino as their subs.
imagine they just say f it and use your plan, honestly won’t be a bad move on their part
The entire scenario itself is just “a dream”, but I’d like to see them incorporate some parts of it to their 24-25 roster! 🤝
Even they use his plan the main problem of everytrade is the other team
Man JSM, I wish my Lakers would seriously listen to your recommendations, we'd have a dynamic team already!
Keep up the good work.
Lets bring back Ad playing in the 4 spot
No. Not enough spacing.
Love this scenario but rather than getting Buddy, I’d have Max as the back up 2 guard if Im being honest
JSM, that is an ultimate situation from an amazing mind, please understand you speak for most of us?!!
Bringing max back to be a 3rd option again doesn’t seem very likely tbh
Absolutely love these moves
That team would be 🔥
Edey would be a good pick like a Ivica Zubac type...
This is the exact dream offseason I want
I actually love the roster, far fetched, but love it.
Trade Dlo(opt in), Rui, Reaves FRP and a swap for Murray and Hunter. Then move Gabe and FRP for Caruso. Bring back max and Dinwiddie. Goga for min
Murray, Dinwiddie, JHS
Caruso, Max, Bronny(55)
Hunter, Vando, Lewis
LBJ, Wood
AD, Goga, Hayes
This is my favorite build now, close but I think Hunter and Murray could be amazing for lakers
In order to improve the Lakers' team performance and increase their chances of success, I propose the following trades and signings:
**Trades:**
1. Trade D'Angelo Russell, Rui Hachimura, and three first-round draft picks to acquire Donovan Mitchell. Or, if D'Angelo Russell opts out of his contract option with the Lakers, then trade Austin Reaves, Rui Hachimura, Jalen Hood-Schifino, and two or three first-round draft picks for Donovan Mitchell.
2. Trade Gabe Vincent and two second-round draft picks to acquire Alex Caruso.
**Signings:**
1. Sign DeMar DeRozan or Miles Bridges as free agents.
2. Sign Jonas Valančiūnas or Isaiah Hartenstein as free agents.
3. Sign Andre Drummond or JaVale McGee as free agents.
4. Sign Kentavious Caldwell-Pope or De'Anthony Melton as free agents.
**Draft:**
1. Draft Bronny James so that LeBron stays with the Lakers.
2. Draft Zach Edey to help AD at the center position.
**Starting Lineup:**
1. Donovan Mitchell
2. Demar DeRozan or Miles Bridges
3. Lebron James
4. Anthony Davis
5. Jonas Valančiūnas, Drummond or Hartenstein
**Bench:**
1. Austin Reaves or De'Anthony Melton
2. Alex Caruso
3. Kentavious Cadwell-Pope
4. Jarred Vanderbilt
5. Christian Wood
6. Andre Drummond
7. Bronny James
8. Zach Edey
To be honest I think lakers need to bring back Wenyen Gabriel
Just saying nonsense atp
he dont have a strength bruh
he too slow and cant shoot to be a sf/pf and too small to be a center
Kai Sotto block him 2 times..
@@theyrehere.3468 I’m trynna figure out what exactly wenyen brought to the table that would make him say thr lakers NEED to bring him back 😂😂 im actually busting out in tears rn😭😭
Good but my question is the wing depth and Rui. We seen on defense Rui gets lost easily and he’s inconsistent in the offensive end imo you gotta trade him for an upgrade.
The real problem is Vando can’t shoot. He supposed to be the starting 3. With Rui being a small ball 5/back up 4, albeit currently overpaid based on his production in the playoffs this year.
Contrary to popular belief Dlo wasn’t the lakers problem. He filled a Better role at PG than we had in a long time. We just need a Veteran PG to back him up and pick up his slack. Like a Kyle Lowry? A lot of our issues was at the PF position. Rui was the weakest link to he quite honest. He avoided a lot of attention. He was very underwhelming to say the least. I think dlo took a Lot of shots but it equally wasn’t brought to rui. Lack of rebounding, Inconsistency shooting, Lack luster defense… Rui was a lot of the lakers issues. Look back in history AD plays best when he Has someone rely on and who can pick up his slack remember boogie and AD? Javale, Dwight & AD? Shit even Randle & AD played great together. AD plays great with tenacious players and rui could not fit that role! AD wasn’t pulling 28 rebounds for nothing while rui was gettimg 3 yet he starting at PF… TRADE Rui and give Dlo another shot with a Championship caliber veteran like Kyle Lowry (No he isn’t what he used to be to be BUT as a role player especially in plays off he can pick up where Dlo dropped off) even a Aged Chris Paul would fit that role perfectly. When DLO played his best Lakers ALWAYS competed and won. Even when lbj was injured don’t listen to the hype Dlo own problem is himself and we have someone who WANTS to be here so why spit in his face? This is why our reputation as a franchise is so bad. Dlo had one of his best years and looked the most natural he just has bad hiccups and we never had anyone to back him up
Unfortunately you’re just too logical for the Lakers to pull this off 😅, this a great dream scenario 👏🏾. They’ll likely miss on everything here except bringing Prince and Christie back 🤦🏽♂️
I like Rui’s size with Bron and AD in the starting lineup but it really stuck with me how hot and cold he was this season. Falling asleep on defense. Not making his presence felt on the boards. Who would guard the 3?
That would be pretty fire. I still feel like we would need another big center (like Dwight Howard type) to possibly deal with Jokic and let AD to play the 4, shoot 2-4 threes a game, and otherwise roam around the perimeter more again on O
I do like the Bol Bol pick!
if the lakers wants to win the chip next szn they need to this
Trade Gabe Vincent for Bruce Brown
Trade Reaves,Rui,JHF for Donovan Mitchell
Draft Zach Edey & then sign a big ban to fair with AD can go back to the 4 maybe drummond a good fit
Salary don’t add up

Definitely a dream off season here
We need a defensive guard and a good big and some shooting wings 🙏
interesting but if we dont have a kuz/mcdaniels and backup big were screwed
we need someone to stop MPJ if thats even possible need a proven backup as we had dwight howard the joker stopper
buddy can be nice but we need more length. also non of this matters if coach dont active players and players are confused on what to do down stretch hopefully rondo is there.
as much as i love caruso very underated amazing defender better shooter now all around badass
he takes minutes away from austin who came very close to hitting some huge bunnies that could've changed series i think he needs to get stronger on his lower body he lost his legs a bit.
depending on coach and playing style you could see a higher production from rui, austin, chirstie because of their skill set.
i rather have kuz if he could get his you know what in line.
on second thought toss dlo away even though his potential is wild and give me caruso and a kuzlike/mcdaniels(6'10ish hieght) and gladly take a dojunte murray
You would do great as Rob Pelinka's assistant
Pelinka can't fix this. Westbrook was something either everyone in the organization wanted or very least J Buss + 'Bron and that move shut down most other options for building around LeGM
Quinn Snyder HC JJReddick top assistant. Rajon Rondo Phil H.
Snyder coaches the Hawks...
WE NEED PERIMETER DEFENDERS, 3&D players and a backup center that ain’t soft, Devin Carter, Ryan Dunn, maybe Zach Edey🤷🏿♂️
i think there is a reason why these assistant coaches stayed as assistant coaches.
Keep in mind that 2 years ago the Lakers hired the "best" assistant coach in the league.
I wish Marcus Smart was more of an option as a target. I’d lover to get Dennis back if Russel walks. I’d love to get Portis and Pat Bev from Milwaukee. Okoro and Dean wade from cavs. No flash, just motor and role. Bring back Spencer Dinwiddie too, didn’t get enough out of him this season but clearly had way more to offer.
I just don't like using a draft pick on Bronny. Don't gotta do that. I'd much rather target in the 2nd round Antonio Reeves from Kentucky or Tristen Newton from UCONN.
Rather use pick and get big in this draft.
JSM should be consulted by Pelinka next week😂
Lol 😂 Sam cassle is not going to go from being an assistant with a championship team to being an assistant for the Lakers he needs to be a head coach.
Sam most likely would take whatever HC job is open but for sure he ain't leaving his current job for a lateral move
Giving away Hood-Schifino is a bad move to me, in 3-4 years his value is high. Shame his timeline doesn't match neither Lebron's, nor AD's. Dejounte Murray's transfer is overrated, just keep DLo.
Price for Caruso's expiring contract is too high imo. Younger Gabe Vincent and either 1 first-rounder or 2 second-rounders is more than a fair offer for a rebuilding Chicago.
I know this will never work or happen but I would love to bring Brandon Ingram back to play small forward until lebron retires then switch him and rui put rui at small and Brandon at power forward, then trade for Dejounte Murray then bring in some better bench players
Once Lakers get Kai Sotto they will become "Monster Team" Kai Sotto is a Dominant Skilled Center he is the Missing Piece to Lakers..
If we keep dlo. There is zero percent chance we will have a mid level exception. Let alone even be able to sigg prince max AND have a mid level. Wouldn't the possible. So basically this team without buddy heild we would still be great and id be down for it all
Kal’el Ware
Nic Richards
Dejounte Murray
Hield/Derozan/Trent/Lonnie
this is a good suggestion but i want miles bridges also!!

Ad needs to play the 4
The Lakers window for getting anywhere with 40 yr old LeGM slammed shut when Denver sent them home a year ago. No new coach is going to make up for a roster that won't be able to defend at the level of a playoff contender and other teams in the West are going to just be better than the Lakers. Its time to cut bait and start the rebuild before LeBron walks and leaves then hanging like he has done every team since his first run with Cleveland
Lakers are winning the championship next year have that same energy when they win banner number 18
Nice dream.
Edey and Holland...
Zach Edey would be a good pick for the Lakers
Holland is goin top 10

WHAT ABOUT TIM CONE? THE BEST TRIANGLE OFFENSE❤
I am not a 100% sure but I would be ok with it.
Ideal team
Caruso Kevin Porter Grimes
Reaves Max Josh Richardson
Patrick Williams Vando RoCo
Lbj Miles Bridges Tristan Silva
AD Jalen Smith Nick Richards
C'mon bro be realistic plus no 3 point shooting and bridges and Williams are gonna be out of our pay range
Can someone send this to Rob and Ms Buss!
Nah this roster not for playoffs..need ad play at 4 and lbj play pointguard..his Washed on dafense..we need traditional line up with two bigs and with size point guards
He's washed on defense (which he is) but let's have him try to guard point guards instead of bigs. Hahahahahaha
@VerbalKarate Took the words right out of my mouth . Do some of these guys watch games?
We need solid big man. Nic Richards and Bol Bol isn't the answer !
Brooke Lopez for Rui hachimura 😅
Vando and Rui for Jerami Grant
I think I’m the only person in the world that would rather trade Austin reeves then all our draft picks
JSM? I believe the Lakerz, if Dlo, opts in or does S&T to the Magic for Wendell Carter Jr and Jalen Suggs, with two 1st RDPS, or one 1st RDP and 1st Rd pick swap, and other pieces, AND, trade for Zach Lavine, and maybe Alex Caruso for Gabe Vincent, Rui and Austin Reeves and 1st RDP. The Lakerz new starting Lineup would be AD, LBJ, Wendell Carter Jr, Jalen Suggs and Zach Lavine! If somehow we can keep the 17th 1st RDP this year then drafting Kel'el Ware would be perfect., plus we would still have Prince, C.Wood, Vanderbilt and , maybe we could take a flying on that PG KP Jr. What do you thinkJSM?
I like your re-config, except I really don't like Buddy Hield. He gives up more points than he scores, every single night. But at the NTMLE, I understand how you're thinking there. It's really too bad we have poverty ownership and that Rob Pelinka isn't built to pull this sort of current era roster construction off. Really, and this isn't Monday morning quarterbacking, Vogel should still be the coach (how do you fire a guy with a ring and 18-9 playoff record for you?) and the Westbrook trade should've never been made. Right now, Lakers would have more future draft picks, a good coach, KCP, Caruso...and Kuzma (ok yuck, not everything perfect) with much more flexibility to go find a real point guard somewhere (gimme Murray at his cap # over anyone else being discussed). Both of those coaching candidates are pathetic but hard to see who wants to deal with the sh*t show that is the current Lakers situation. RIP Jerry West.
we should try to get andre drummond with caruso

This is unrealistic and we would give up all our future assets. Not sure if this team is favorite to win a championship and there are some franchise changing players in 2026 and 2027 drafts. Prefer to keep FRPs and see what we can get for second round picks.
You have to go all in and maximize AD & Bron’s last few years
Half the comments on here show why folks laugh at Laker "fans".
😅😅😅
@JSM24 I messed up by not complimenting the video. It was great. Some of the comments are just...ass.
fr tho lmao
Some fans still think it’s the 1990s NBA
@seanz8583 Some fans thinks it NBA Li ve 90's edition. The other third thinks the Lakers came into existence when LeBron came . The other nonsensical ones thinks everything should be ran through ESPN's trade machine before we talk in reality.
Reaves can be traded and need to keep Max Christie
U not getting Akex for that
nope,, put AD back in 4,, he sucks defending other great centers like Jokic,, sign Jonas V. in free agency as the starting center or draft #17 Kalel Ware or Zach Edey for center positions,, just player develop them,, for back up center,, keep Jax Hayes or sign Javale Mcgee,, Trade D-Lo for Dejounte Murray,, then keep all players & run it back,, hopefully newly hired coach can player develop and utilize properly players like Max Christie & can properly rotate bench players,, point guard gabe vincent hopefully can comeback full healthy,,

JSM I think we should draft Zach Eddey and Ron Holland with Bronny late 2nd round. Do you know much about Ron Holland
Edey lolllll
Ron Holland may slide. But DEFINITELY not to the second round
I think the lowest he will go is 14
Eddey can be gotten in the 20s in my opinion
But don’t have the picks to get both
I think you have a solid dream roster scenario, but I think mines offers a bit more affordability and flexibility for free agency. I also believe that my combo of young seasoned players and very experienced vets would be a lot more balanced.
That roster is limited offensively and weak at the big man spot with true size for joker.
LeBron fans wanted a whole new team so LeBron can win his 5th ring and some lakers fans wanted to reload and rebuild
We want Sam cassle.
Please trade AD
He’s not going anywhere
They need to replace the GM is not good to lakers
Instead of buddy held I would give minutes to Max christie
If Buddy would be willing to take the TMLE you simply can’t pass that up. Though, it’s not very likely. And barring that happening, getting Christie more mins is a priority
@JSM24 he can't defend and his strength is only shooting. We need a defender who can rebound, defend in high level. We can pay that money to robert covington instead, he can defend, shoot, rebound.
No bronny no James trade ad, rebuild
No.
AD has to move back to the 4
I think lebron should take a pay cut and resign to get 5th ring!
What I think the Lakers should do is trade Gabe Vincent to try and see if you can move up... but if they can move up.. even a little bit... then I'd draft the best player in the draft in Zach Edey. Then let Max Christie walk.. and sign Mac McClung.. McClung is the better player.. by a landslide. Also, I'd hope Dlo opt-in to his contract to then trade him later. I'd also look to sign Boogie Cousins & Javale Mcgee if Edey is gone earlier in the draft. I would also look to sign Kevin Porter Jr.
Biggest problem last year with Max was the head scratcher Ham. I do agree about trading Vincent but, he's seen currently as a negative asset. Not going to get anything for him. Ideally would be salary filler or trade later in the year.
Not bad but I still don't see a championship team. The West is just too loaded
Denver and the Lakers are the only real title threats in the west. West isn’t as loaded as you think
@@LeGoatJames111 with all due respect. The wolves, thunder, and mavs are better than the lakers
@@drift6785 neither of these teams have the championship experience to beat the Lakers. Only 1 team has championship experience and that’s the Nuggets. You need championship experience to beat the Lakers

@@drift6785 nah they have no chance against the Lakers. You need championship experience to beat Bron and AD in a best of 7. Denver the only team in this league that beats them 4 out of 7

Ridiculous statement. Guy is a 15-20 mpg role player at best in today’s league

Everything but Christian Wood bro, I think he a serious piece for us ngl
The Lakers, should stop
Looking at JJ REDDICK.
The guy just doesn't have
Any TRUE NBA EXPRIENCE.
all he has, is his BIG MOUTH.
Get your own Porzingis and Jrue Holiday and ur cooking. Only Denver is in your way just like the last few years & it’s your only competition
We need a 3rd star that fits. This depth shit don't work in the playoffs
There is not a single team that made it far in these playoffs with a “big 3” format. Two stars with depth is the name of the game with the new CBA setup.
What 3rd star are we getting? We have the LEAST amount of assets...some of y'all need to lay off the 2K!
@@Rustyblackleford Front office needs to spend money. Stop trying to win cheap Championships with mediocre players. We are about to be behind Boston. They need to do everything they can do NOW to win.
@@Rustyblackleford Jimmy, Dame, KAT, Kyrie, Lavine, Demar DeRozan, Paul George, Trae Young. We could get any of these players if Pelinka get his head out his a**!
You won’t win in the nba being top heavy what don’t you understand? What if they get injured silly.
I cringe every time. I hear someone talk about the Lakers drafting Bronny. I'm a Lakers and Lebron fan. Bronny, is not a top player. I hope they don't draft Bronny. It's already a freak show.
at 55th pick? you crazy bruh
Get rid of lebron ... He is the problem trade him he is not Kobe ...
These trades makes no sense as you literally destroyed their future trade assets for a 1st or second round playoff team at most. The only way I'd trade all our picks is when a possible 3rd disgruntled allstar is made available like If the Cavs want Reaves and picks for Mitchel I'd do it in a heartbeat
• Hopefully, We hire a HC by Monday!!!
• I like Drummond or Richards @ Bac(k)up Center.
• If We keep Our 1st round Pic(k) Ware or Da Silva will be the Our Best Options.
• We need 1-2 Vet Min Players that don’t expect to play Every Night (Danny Green/McGee/Morris Twin/Seth Curry/etc.)
• I think We will only be able to acquire 1 New Starter/Major Rotation Player like Murray/Caruso/Bridges/Bruce Brown/Caris Levert as a result of the New CBA & bcuz the majority of other NBA Teams are understandably, not interested in helping The LAke 🟣🟡 Show get better.
LeBron leaving is the best possible outcome
He’s not going anywhere
