I got some tips. I'm not even close to how good you are, but you may take them or leave them. -3D printed a base around the tool setter thats a snug fit to a Zero box that covers the OTS. May or may not save it entirely, but if something should be slung out of the vise, or tool let go may save the OTS. Sure you know they are costly. -That shelving with the particle board. Its going to sag regardless of the supports. Pretty sure it just sucks up the moisture. Not sure if sealing it helps (but its my theory it should)? -I have some of my CAT40 holders directly in holes drilled like you in wood? Not sure if thats better or if oversizing the holes and 3D printing rings to protect them from contact? I did with some shelves made from 1/4 alum plate for the lathe collets? -I found that the Yukon (sold at HF) tool boxes are pretty good at holding tooling for each machine. 1 for the manual lathe tooling, one at the CNC lathe. I put U channel alum on the tops and added two pullout shelves (raises the wood top higher to comfortable height) Added storage.
I do not want to be the safety police, I have all my door interlocks bypassed too. I will tell you however, having gotten a piece of metal in my eye before, it really is not fun getting that dug out at the eye doctor. Safety glasses!
Thanks for the vid. Love from New Zealand as always bud :D

I appreciate any and all ideas weather I implement them or not. I’m gonna think about some of these.

You mean doom bringers? That’s what I call safety glasses because every time I put them on I get stuff in my eyes 😂

Was the Z height/offset of the work set with the probe? Looked like it did just X and Y but maybe I couldn’t see it.
I manually set the z height on the first part, from then on all it needed to find was the x/y to be concentric to the bore.
