Hello Vadim! Want to ask you if you sell some of the computers you get for reviewing them? I’m a father of two and photographer, videographer in SoCal, San Diego and Baja. A few weeks ago I went to document an event at Valle de Guadalupe, gorgeous place but, I got jacked by a cartel band and they stole all my bags with my most important equipment (cameras, lenses and my macbook pro) it’s a serious hit since my insurance wont cover for all this in Baja. Lost over $30,000 in equipment and haven’t been able to buy back most of it. I had to give my assignments to fellow producers and act as an spectator/producer and pay for what I could’ve done… so, I need to buy a computer and everything else again but times have been hard after covid. No savings left… please let me know. 🙏🏻

An advice for M3 Pro owners:
If you come here to see the difference between the M3 Pro and M4 Pro, I want to say that these comparative charts do not reflect the reality of your needs, let the technology of your M3 Pro mature and only upgrade your Mac when there are many more features worth it (oled screen, better keyboard, etc.).
Analyze your needs and you will realize that even an M2 is enough (unless you work with graphics like me).

I love the improved performance of the M4 Pro but, not at the expense of the hotter temps and louder fans. It seems the M3 Pro is actually much better optimized for the size of the 14" chassis. Spoiler: the M4 Pro will be up to 3x faster then the M1 Pro. This is what Apple claims on there own MacBook Pro product page. In fact in Geekerwan videos you can see that the M4 Pro has nearly the same performance as an M3 Max (CPU) or an M2 Utra (CPU). Of course not for the GPU.

Why? That is an incredibly powerful laptop. The 16-inch m3 pro macbook has by default the unbinned version 12-core CPU. It easily outperforms the M2 Max Studio. It will run extremely quiet, super cool to the touch and you’ll likely have the same or more battery life than the newer M4 versions under moderate-heavy load.
In rough terms, the M4 chips just feel more like an overclocked and hotter version of the M3 chips.
