I have it. This is not a mic for shy vlogger. We have to speak loud but natural. The pros is it can eliminate side and back sound much better than internal camera microphone.
Why would camera companies put the worst microphone on their cameras on purpose? 0:29 What do they gain from doing this? Nobody buys a Panasonic or Fuji or Camera-branded microphone. People are usually buying microphones from Microphone brand companies. The camera company makes no money from that. So why would they want to create a camera which gets them a bad review for a bad microphone ?
Yes there is! It's due to the fact that it's relying on the in-camera audio gain instead of having it's own - if you had the money I would recommend the Rode VMP over this - but if you're on a budget; the Micro is great if you vlog and you can't beat the price point!
I've seen that video already, but there is no built-in Nikon mic sound. You were talking about things, but much different when I can hear the difference myself. :) Anyway, both videos are good! :)
Want to know if I still use this mic? WATCH here: ruclips.net/video/a2FzKzEOdwk/видео.html

Does it fit on any camera
If it has a hot shoe yep!
Lol, great video, love your style.
thanks
Real helpful! :) Did you notice the background noise, like a humming sound, from the Micro?

Instead of mounting this on a shoe, can you mount it on top of a tripod? Does it screw on?
You'll need a hot shoe adapter
good review, just bought one.
Hope it serves you well! It's my go to travel mic.
I have this mic and i use the Canon T5i and when i play it back i can here a hissing sounds..i don't know what to do to get the hissing sound to stop😔
A little hiss is normal - Make sure to lower your internal camera audio as low as it can go but still record your sound
BVC Co. Awesome!! Thanks for the help. I will try it out.
Would been nice to compare with built-in Nikon mic as well.
