    Thanks for the showcase!
Some points to help in future runs:
    - the skull and bones icon on the map are your Nemeses - they are part of the Hero-Slayer mechanic. Basically every time soemone kills you - they become a hero in this world and ascend, becoming bosses on your next run with that villain. You then hunt them down to claim their skulls. Use skulls to unlock new talents (power options you select before the run)
    - resource nodes - these are ore veins that contain gems. You are right, they are used for meta upgrades. Higher upgrade levels of card start requiring these alongside the normal coin cost.

Looks fun but, at least in this video, I didn't see anything that really stood out as a selling point. Yeah, being the villain, but I mean in terms of mechanics.

Hey @LordBaktor, dev of the game here!
When it comes to unique mechanics I'll highlight a few:
      * Hero-Slayer system. Whenever you are killed - the enemy that kills you becomes a hero in this world. So the next time you play that enemy will be a boss on a map (see the skull and bones icon on the map). These are your Nemeses - you gotta hunt them down to claim their skulls. You collect skulls to unlock talent trees for your villain. The system will be expanded in future to allow emerging events, like heroes gathering forces to track you down, etc.
      * Talent-Trees. The talent tree system is a secondary meta-progression system, that exists alongside the main Upgrades (Tarot Cards). These talents are quite-build defining, the aim is to really shake up the gameplay of your character through them.
      * Relic System. Another secondary meta progression system. There are hidden requirements to unlock these. They are items that you eqiup to your character. They can level up and each Relic has a uniuqe condition to level up, that's tied to it's theme (i.e. a Relic that gives a vampirisim effect requires you to recover health through vampiric effects to level up, etc). You unlock relics for all characters, however each character has it's own levels for each relic.
*Onslaught System - the skull and the progress bar on top is a dynamic difficulty system. The more enemies you kill - the more it fills up. Each skull is a milestone that activate a new Onslaught level. Each Onslaught level makes enemies tougher and more numerous, while also providing higher drop chance for rewards. (currently coins).
*Gem Resources - the resource veins are spread thrhoughout the map, hit them to gather resources. Use them to help with meta upgrades.
      * Abilities: besides the generic skills that are common to all characters, each villain has a unique set of skills that are exclusive to them. In coming updates we'll expand this with a quest-objective-like system that you'll dynamically get to upgrade your unique mechanics, isntead of getting them through ordinary level ups.
