Got to meet them outside a club in Louisville in 2007. They all signed my shirt and actually took the time to talk with us for a good ten minutes. It was crazy how they blew up shortly after that. Wish them all continued success. They deserve it

Words cannot express how much I want a new studio version of their og album. Maybe once it turns 20 years old. Lacey’s voice has matured so much and dare I say it’s better now than it was in 2005.
Glad they can still vibe as a band even though the motivations and artistic direction are in a better place mentally. Especially glad Lacey is in a better mind set and headed in the right direction. A tragic loss of a talented band and excellent vocalist has thankfully been avoided.

Evanescence has basically been The Amy Lee Show for the last fifteen years or so. They haven't released an album that was consistently good since The Open Door, and even that album didn't measure up to Fallen.
Not everything is about money and fame though. She has a deep relationship with Christ and a family. She has found a way to use music as a ministry rather than be owned by it. Certain priorities are more valuable than all the things this fleeting world can offer.

I listened to their album ages ago and now after all these years I get this recommended. The algorithm is truly spooky (and a gift with this one).

The mic volume was the issue. She also left the band because she was pregnant. Was a mom to her baby like she should have. Came back not too long ago.
