It's amazing that the vocalist of Arch Enemy coached on this cheesy show. I admit that I find this show to be a guilty pleasure of mine depending on the guest, and I know that Alissa used to the vocalist for The Agonist, but this is an improvement, I must admit, even though I can tell that she doesn't regret participating in this.
even if she is not a real member of the metal community but am really glad for her that metal could helped her to strengthen her personality and get the confidence she was lacking

you need to actually like it / have self- interest, or youre not gonna get anywhere with it. its like when parents put their kids through a bunch of random shit growing up like soccer, swimming, etc. same thing applies in the sense that the person needs to have self interest in it to drive themselves forward

The guitarist in our band was a big Megadeth fan at the time and I wasn't but he wanted the band to learn Symphony of Destruction and at first I didn't think I could learn it but I downloaded the song from ITunes and listen to it every chance I got so I could learn the lyrics and even the guitarist would compromise with me on songs I wanted to do but the drummer was always battling with us because he only wanted to do a certain type of genre. That's why to me I became really close with the guitarist which is my best friend and I feel comfortable singing with him and he's helped me to write songs and give his opinion on the sound and how to improve to the sound I want. Finding a group of people that's willing to compromise and click with you is very hard to come across. Most people form bands for the image and are not serious about it. They use being in a band to get chicks even if they suck and don't learn much.
I don't mind her becoming what she dreams to be...but there's one thing she REALLY needs...is to chill the heck out and be positive...don't sound arrogant and (like as if you own them)...cooperate and collaborate and be ready to learn and accept that...becoming something in a band takes a lot of charisma as well...and trust between the buddies u make...

First rule when it comes to a band. Give input on what you are going to name the band. Just because you are the singer doesn't mean you get to choose the name. There is reason why it is called a band. More than one. That how a lot of bands fall apart because one person makes all the decision and the other band member may not agree with it.
