I really don't get people who oppose the idea of refuelling your car in your own garage, in your own time without having to go anywhere for it. Cheaply. Surely that is the dream. You don't even have to put pants on if you don't want to!
Sure if you have to use a charging station now and again on a long trip then you have to wait longer than you would normally, but for daily use... Unbeatable.

Brooks (DragTimes), the "chill" mode is designed to prevent the kind of thrust back you get from the instant acceleration of all-electric vehicles, expecially from the higher powered Tesla Models like the P100D and 100D. This is a good thing for the elderly Tesla owners. Amazing car!
They did the same thing to me. My Model S went in for some panoramic roof repairs and they leant me a Model X P100D ludicrous. Tops out at 85 but damn sure gets there fast.

I believe chill mode should be a way to reduce battery comsuption to be able to achieve better range. Probably less powered magnets in the motors.

Can you guys do similar video with an uncorked 75D vs an uncorked 100D? It would be good to see what the actual difference is between the two. Tesla's website still lists the 100D as 4.1sec but that is obviously not accurate. I'm curious if the 75D uncorked is also faster than the website says.
SparkEV 0-60 is 7.2 seconds. Maybe Tesla is trying to duplicate what it feels like to be in SparkEV. I wonder if they'll have snooze mode where 0-60 is 10.5 seconds like with Leaf, eGolf, etc.

Tesla loaner.. I've heard of those but never seen one. So far I've been only been able to sample the GM lineup, but at least the Enclave is good for moving furniture.

My car is about 11.5sec to 62mph/100kph and for me its fast enough in most cases

I drive a 3cyl 0.9l engine turbo with 90hp and 140Nm and😂💪....... Eheheh this Tesla in chill mode does in 7.2s (0-96km/h) and it is "soo slow". Just a different approach, i would say. ☺

I would always use chill mode tbh.
Could you maybe edit in a still picture when you are showing the settings, you can't read that much due to changing focus :)

It does enhance the range and saves the tire rubber plus drive train equipment. It might even keep your wife from spilling her coffee.

7.2 seconds is still very fast for a 4 door family car! It’s faster than my Audi A4 1.8 TFSi which is only 10 seconds and that feels fast. Remember slow acceleration improves range.

Yeah... Tesla always leaves that damn speed limiter on loaners. Annoying for sure.

Well they do need you to return it in one piece so it's kind of understandable. I'm guessing they didn't use to limit the speed and experienced too many...incidents.
If you want full power buy a car.. even with the limiter on its still fun as hell to drive.
Here in Germany you can enjoy its 250 kmh / 155 mph. Also in the loaner...they have no restriction :-D

With EVs, going faster is just a software setting unlike ICE which is a mechanical issue. Tesla at any time can make the any Model S as quick as the P series just by changing a few software setting. There's not much mechanical differences between the P and non P models. They just speed up the fans for cooling and run them longer. I wouldn't pay the $30k difference for the P.

Brooks, What is the best app to test my 75D model X 0-60.? I have been using an itunes app called speedometer but it only registers 0-60 in 6 sec and it should be 5 seconds. Is that because 0-60 is not measured from a standstill. Any ifo you can provide would be appreciated!

Very nice video. We have had our Tesla S100D a week and it is a very nice car. I try to drive in chill mode so things don't wear out too quickly. I have used the standard mode when I needed to get away from a stop light fast to make a lane change. On another subject: I do wish that the managers of the local charging stations would install bigger signs that the parking spot is for electric cars only while charging. People should understand that the ICE is starting to melt and most cars will be electric or some other type in twenty years or so.

3.596s should be rounded to 3.6s, not 3.5s. If the number is 3.550s or more, you would round it to 3.6s. If the number was 3.549 or less, it would be rounded to 3.5s.
I've noticed people who drag race a lot, often use the floor function. E.g. "10-second car" means a car that will do a 1/4 mile in 10.0 to 10.999... seconds.

Lucid Air achieved 235.44mph. Would like to see how it accelerates with that 1000hp.
