I'm a little perplexed that the result of the disciplinary actions could literally result in Weatherford actually WINNING this series by fact that NCTC doesn't have enough players not on disciplinary action.

If, on the other hand, you come onto the field of play with the intention of *stopping* the brawl, you are *not* supposed to reciece a suspension.

North Central should not be penalized at all for defending their team mate against the attack. Every Weatherford student who charged the defenders should be expelled and charged. Any grappling or striking injuries to the pitcher are the pitcher's sole responsibility, not the defenders. Any injuries to the first baseman and his defenders are also the responsibility of the additional attackers. The pitcher also shares responsibility for every other Weatherford players action against any North Texas player.
Teamwork at it's finest. If that guy had any hopes or ever making it to the minor or major leagues he ruined that. He'll be in jail soon if he doesn't learn to control his emotions.
Watch the field umpire point at him when he is midway between second and third. That is when the taunt occurred. Would be interesting to know what was said.
So after listening to this the pitcher got a slap on the Wrist. As a pitcher who plays maybe 1 out 5 or 6 games he will miss 1 game. If he also plays in the field, then he may actually miss 6 games, all this when he belongs in jail.
You obviously dont play or watch any sports. If you did youd wonder what the batter said to the pitcher before he charged him. If he said "that one was for your mom" he would have deserved it💯
You clearly don't know the US justice system. A lawsuit is a civil matter. Assault is a criminal matter. There's no such thing as a lawsuit for assault.
The notion that anyone other than that poor-sport pitcher is being suspended is completely ridiculous! Were the kid's teammates just supposed to stand there after he got pummeled? And they had to forfeit the and possibly forfeit further games? Yeah the homerun hitter's celebration may have been out of step but it did not warrant that kind of reaction and fallout. Do better North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference...
What's that obsession with being insulted by the other team's celebration in this country ? On the other hand, what's that obsession with celebrating ridiculoisly and extensively (not saying it occurred here) before the game is even over ? All about winning. ZERO respect, sportsmanship and empathy.
It's supposed to be a game, it's supposed to be fun. Shit like this is exactly why I stopped playing sports in high school and why professional sports have never appealed to me. Too many players, too many coaches, too many PARENTS take this shit way too seriously.
What the pitcher did was not as bad as what the conference did or didn't do. No suspension, they should have kicked the kid out of the conference. Permanently.
This really is a joke. It shows within the confines of establishments you can assault anyone with little to no consequences. I didn't see any taunt by the batter
The dude hit a home run. How is that not racist? Not everyone is privileged enough to have a home to run to. I'm pretty sure that batter was white. Uh, white privilege, hello....
I reviewed the video about four times and I saw zero taunting by the HR hitter. Did he do something rounding first and second base? Slapping hands with the third base coach is totally standard stuff for baseball. The announcers pointed out that bench clearing happens frequently in that league so why the big crackdown on North Texas. Any penalties on that team is crazy. Any player on either team who punched or kicked needs punishment but no others. That was so unfair.
I can’t see any sign of taunting either. The only thing I see that could point towards taunting is the umpire prior to the pitchers reaction. He points at the runner near the same time that the pitcher begins his motions of pursuit.
Watch the Base ump point at the runner between 2nd and 3rd. Clearly thats when he says something because that's when the pitcher starts reacting. I realise chirping is a part of a lot of competitive sports but it gets bad when, unlike hockey, there's no large guy named Domi to keep the big mouths in check.
You can clearly see the ump pointing at the runner before the pitcher actually charges at him. Clearly the runner was saying things to taunt/instigate and the ump wasn't having it. Clearly neither was the pitcher.
The pitcher should be arrested for aggravated assault, and given the maximum sentence, for the depraved indifference to human life shown by attacking an unaware person. A sucker punch is an attempt to maim and seriously injure a person. This person should NEVER get to play college or other organized sports EVER AGAIN!!
2 things... 1) If things don't work for that pitcher in baseball he probably just got himself a football scholarship. 2) That is how a conference should handle all fights in baseball. Too many times the umpires and the conference sugar foot around and only eject/suspend a couple of players from each side when the rules call for anyone leaving the dugout/bullpen or their position to take part in a fight are REQUIRED to be ejected so basically every time a fight occurs everyone from both sides are ejected and the game is a forfeit. That is what should happen every single time there is a fight in baseball because when you start hitting teams where it hurts and hang losses on them through forfeits the fighting will stop.
Not having any previous incidents is exactly the same as saying. Well no one’s reported him before. He’s probably messed up plenty of times before but they were minor enough for the coach to overlook or cover for him. He’s probably always been angry and volatile when he competes. Behavior like this is learned. You don’t just suddenly become super violent because your pitch got crushed. At least not without a brain injury.
As usual with TYT, they don't give you the whole story. Their "reporter" did the bare minimum of investigation. Ask yourself, "Why did the sports governing authority suspend the hitter for two days and the pitcher for four days?" Maybe that doesn't make much sense to you. So now you have two choices... 1: Be an arrogant Dunning Kruger poster child and assume you are an expert based on a video or... 2: Have some humility and assume that maybe the experts who actually investigated the incident know something you don't. If you think this pitcher rushed the player simply because he hit a homer, you are a moron.
When someone agrees to play a sport, they effectively consent to physical contact. That's why hockey players don't go to jail for fighting, or anyone else in other sports. It's sort of understood that contact can and will happen, even if it's not part of the actual normal play of the game. With that said you do from time to time have charges brought.
These people who criticize the batter for "taunting" clearly have never played organized sports on the high school or collegiate level. Taking the wind out of the sails of the opponent is part and parcel of sports. If the pitcher could not stand the idea of being slightly ridiculed by that batter...he should not have thrown him a home run pitch!! If you don't want to be taunted, mocked, laughed at, whatever...don't lose the game!!!!

Regardless of the batter talking $hit all game, the pitcher is ultimately mad because he gave up a home run to the guy rightfully talking $shit all game. Pitcher just couldn't handle getting owned that bad.
So the net outcome is that the person assaulted got suspended for 2 games and his whole team will have to forfeit the next two games against the team that the attacker plays for because they went on the field to defend the victim? Well, that doesn't sound like justice to me.
I like how even though showing the written reports while they are being read to you, they still felt the need to add a closed caption as well. The big question is why wasn't a crawler banner added with the same info as well.
Listened to the end and learned that the pitcher received a 4 game suspension, the batter received a 2 game suspension for taunting. The team that was attacked then received notice that all players and coaches that came onto the field would be suspended for 2 games. The batters team will need to forfeit those games. Sticking up for your teammate that was criminally attacked will be punished 2 games for standing up for their teammate. Nothing about this story is right. Once you physically attack a player that player should be removed period and face discipline. Penalizing the opposing team 2 games for standing up for their teammate is crazy.
The ONLY person who should be punished is the Pitcher. Everyone else should petition their punishment because what they were reacting to was an Active Assault not "UnSportsmanship."
@@lancetison5856 I'm curious Lance. What in the world do you consider that? That went WAY beyond sportsmanship. That pitcher should've been placed in cuffs just as the boxer (James Butler Jr.) was who punched his opponent in the ring after he lost.

Doesn't matter which team I'm there to support, I'm waiting for the pitcher in the parking lot with my commemorative bat.
Jail for assault and Never ever play any sport again
North Central should not be penalized at all for defending their team mate against the attack. Every Weatherford student who charged the defenders should be expelled and charged. Any grappling or striking injuries to the pitcher are the pitcher's sole responsibility, not the defenders. Any injuries to the first baseman and his defenders are also the responsibility of the additional attackers. The pitcher also shares responsibility for every other Weatherford players action against any North Texas player.
You should reconsider your reasoning above.
@@morninglift1253 What's wrong with defending your team mate when he's under attack? What's wrong with charging criminals with their crimes?
They should not let that pitcher anywhere near a performing comedian.
Teamwork at it's finest. If that guy had any hopes or ever making it to the minor or major leagues he ruined that. He'll be in jail soon if he doesn't learn to control his emotions.
The player gets attacked and the coach comes to their rescue, and they get suspended too!? WTAF!?
That pit her should be expelled from the team and not allowed back on.
Why is the batter suspended? Anything after the tackle was self-defense.... How did he taunt the pitcher? With the way he landed on his back? wtf
Watch the field umpire point at him when he is midway between second and third. That is when the taunt occurred. Would be interesting to know what was said.
So after listening to this the pitcher got a slap on the
Wrist. As a pitcher who plays maybe 1 out 5 or 6 games he will miss 1 game. If he also plays in the field, then he may actually miss 6 games, all this when he belongs in jail.
He should have been an acclaimed hero actually. Your life is messed up dude.
LAWSUIT for assault. 18 years old, grown ups get arrested and go to court.
@@piano1500 you can't sue someone for assaulting you? wow had no clue thats ow it works.
@@RalphieMaysGhost so certain sounds make it ok to attack someone? Feeling getting hurt, Im sure that would hold up in court.
Reminds me of the “we won” energy from fat ass nfl fans that didn’t do shit.
What the pitcher did was not as bad as what the conference did or didn't do. No suspension, they should have kicked the kid out of the conference. Permanently.
sorry.. what the pitcher did was worse than anything else that happened.. physical assault.. no other way to spin it.. assault..
What's to investigate? We all seen what he did. Handle it accordingly
Criminal assault
@@piano1500 you the dude in the clip? Don’t back the sensitive ass pitcher. Shoulda played football if he wanted to act like that.
Taunting is verbal, not visual. You can't "see" taunting. The 2nd base umpire heard him, though... so did the pitcher, apparently.
The school should be banned from all sports for ten years.
Stop it 🤡
Ask yourself, "Why did the sports governing authority suspend the hitter for two days and the pitcher for four days?"
Maybe that doesn't make much sense to you.
Wait one man assaults another on camera and receives no criminal charges? Is the pitcher cop? From what I can see that's criminal assault.
They should have put him off the team!!!
This is BS
These people who criticize the batter for "taunting" clearly have never played organized sports on the high school or collegiate level. Taking the wind out of the sails of the opponent is part and parcel of sports. If the pitcher could not stand the idea of being slightly ridiculed by that batter...he should not have thrown him a home run pitch!! If you don't want to be taunted, mocked, laughed at, whatever...don't lose the game!!!!
Haha don’t cry when you get smoke then. Big mouth don’t make a big man
Isn't that assault, where are the criminal charges?
Lol omg it don’t deserve criminal charges! Smh suspensions and expulsions is the proper way to handle this smh you must be a youngster!! Soft!! There is no room for the law in sports!! Suspension, expulsion or a good ol fist fight after the game is what is needed!!
@@idesiremore9607 it deserves criminal charges, at least a disorderly conduct charge. You can't just attack someone like that unprovoked. Anyone defending this guy IE You are a real piece of trash
@@idesiremore9607 How can you say that? That kid could have been permanently injured. You think that only deserves a "my bad"? Bet if it was your kid or yourself, you would change your tune.
@@ynmonroe if it was my kid I would expect him to handle it! My son currently plays triple A ball in Albuquerque! That’s what’s wrong with the younger generation they are soft and want a hug for everything in life! They want a trophy for losing! A trophy for participation!! The fact of the matter is the kid didn’t get hurt but he didn’t handle it either! A good old fashion fisticuffs after the game was appropriate, suspension is appropriate not the law!! If it was your kid that got hit you would run out there with a trophy and a hug then turn around to the pitcher and tell him that was not very nice 😂 then threaten him with lawyers and cops lol this should have never happened PERIOD I’m not condoning it in anyway but the law has no place in sports PERIOD!! Unless weapons such as guns knives or even bats are used then that’s different!! This pitcher deserves a few games off on suspension
That pitcher can pursue a career as a police officer, they are always looking for a few violent men to join their ranks.
I know it's not that close of a shot but at no time did I see the player do any taunting that is straight BS
It sounds like he yelled something after rounding 2nd. It sounded like "you can't pitch" or some other sentence that ended with "hit" but was too hard to make out.
Regardless of the batter talking $hit all game, the pitcher is ultimately mad because he gave up a home run to the guy rightfully talking $shit all game. Pitcher just couldn't handle getting owned that bad.
So, the team that defended their coldcocked player faced the the largest penalty. Seems legit.
4 game suspension!?!?!?! Throw him off the team.
So the net outcome is that the person assaulted got suspended for 2 games and his whole team will have to forfeit the next two games against the team that the attacker plays for because they went on the field to defend the victim? Well, that doesn't sound like justice to me.
Arrest the pitcher for a brutal assault! That’s really the ONLY just remedy here…
What the fuck? This isn't a kid, press charges.
This is the worst display of bad sportsmanship.
THAT IS ASSAULT AND BATTERY. DUDE NEEDS TO BE IN JAIL.
I like how even though showing the written reports while they are being read to you, they still felt the need to add a closed caption as well. The big question is why wasn't a crawler banner added with the same info as well.
I bet his mother/father acted this way when he was in little league
Listened to the end and learned that the pitcher received a 4 game suspension, the batter received a 2 game suspension for taunting. The team that was attacked then received notice that all players and coaches that came onto the field would be suspended for 2 games. The batters team will need to forfeit those games. Sticking up for your teammate that was criminally attacked will be punished 2 games for standing up for their teammate. Nothing about this story is right. Once you physically attack a player that player should be removed period and face discipline. Penalizing the opposing team 2 games for standing up for their teammate is crazy.
Piss on that. See what I say above.
The ONLY person who should be punished is the Pitcher. Everyone else should petition their punishment because what they were reacting to was an Active Assault not "UnSportsmanship."
assault? thanks Karen.
@@lancetison5856 I'm curious Lance. What in the world do you consider that? That went WAY beyond sportsmanship. That pitcher should've been placed in cuffs just as the boxer (James Butler Jr.) was who punched his opponent in the ring after he lost.
That should be the final pitch he ever throws in college ball.
The way he tackled him you would think that the batter did a bat flip towards the pitcher..If you don't want him to celebrate, get him out..
Enter the football coach... "You ever play linebacker son?" Hahaha
What they NEED to be taught and OBVIOUSLY have never been taught is SPORTSMANSHIP
You see what had happened was...
Upon realizing he was a shitty pitcher, he decided to change careers on the fly and become a linebacker.
Seems to me that WC should be suspended from playing for the remainder of the season. Were it not for their player, nothing else happens.
A hit like that should have been more than just a 4 week ban. And the other players weren't in for a brawl there were only getting the pitcher off of the batter so that he could assault him further. The league needs to look at these punishments again with fresh eyes.
I don't get why this is not considered battery. Why do sports get a pass when someone attacks another? Shouldn't the law be involved? I think so. If I was playing a pick up game with some locals and I did that wouldn't I be arrested? So why do schools get looked over. Its fucking disgusting.
The college police is investigating it, or maybe they have completed the investigation by now. They can refer it to local police for prosecution, but I'm betting the pitcher is going to be expelled from the college.
Ok, so if I were to do this to a person walking down the street, would this not be considered assault? Would the person I body slammed press charges?
Most likely, yes to both.
What's to investigate?
So here is the problem ... They suspended the wrong players for running on field ... Its like ... So they were supposed to not stop the fight ... And what brawl? There was no brawl
What's the teaching moment? ........ that you can cripple someone and get a slap on the wrist? screw that! That kid needs to file charges against the aggressor and the school for not taking appropriate actions for that uncalled attack. Let me guess, lets forget about the attack and say "there's good guys on both sides".
You just ended my pitching career by slamming one out of the park, hulk smash! Lol
He said something about his mama being wrong
@@johnnyguillotine1673 One of the parents did something wrong, the kid laid out the red carpet for the opposing team lol
I saw one person out of line, yet they hand out a bunch of suspensions? God damn, baseball on every level is full of the biggest idiots.
True that, Homie. Stooopid. But... he is so pretty he will be OK.
Four game suspension for a cowardly attack? When one of their players kills someone for "taunting", the college only has itself to blame. That cowardly pitcher should have been expelled and prosecuted for aggravated assault. Any players that take the field on his side are vermin.
HOW ABOUT AN ASSAULT CHARGE WITH LOCAL POLICE! Screw that nonsense, attacking someone for a homerun? grow up
Sounds like the only people not punished in this story were the fans who boooo'd. The pitcher is the only one who should have been punished, and it should have been more than a few game suspension. That was a cheap shot that should not be tolerated.
