I love my Neverfull. I got it 15 years ago for $645. Even back then, everyone carried it. I didn't care then, and I don't care now. It was my first for real luxury handbag, and I did purchase it bc of the monogram. I love my Neverfull. For me it is, arguably, the most practical and useful bag in my collection. I certainly rotate it in and out of my routine, and it does serve a specific purpose, but I will never get rid of it. I believe it's because of the Neverfull that I know almost unequivocally, what type of bag I prefer. A bit larger, that can carry a reasonable amount. Tote style. Easy to access. Lightweight and comfortable. It's a workhorse. Work, errands, travel, you really can't go wrong. And with all the different variations, there really is a style for almost everyone. Its iconic for a reason. All that being said, it is not worth the prices in 2023.
You basically paid the price that it debuted at. I don’t know if you caught that part of the video, but I mentioned how the Neverfull was released in 2007 at $645 (just about 15-16 years ago). It sounds like it works well for you so that’s great.
I have a monogram GM that I bought new last summer. I find it useful for in-office days when I need to carry a ton of stuff, but it’s mainly a travel bag for me. I like that it fits underneath airline seats and can smoosh around easily. I agree that I see Neverfulls at airports but certainly not quite as much as the person ahead of me and behind me carrying one that I would confuse which bag is mine. It’s a functional bag and nothing more. My Chanel, Loewe, and other mini bags are more my fun/dressy bags. I’m glad to have a variety that serve different purposes. Was not phased by this news since all brands have annoying marketing tactics they implement for supply/demand purposes.
Agree , it isn’t about exclusivity… every one just jumps to that word because Hermes are so silly with their “ stuff 😂” but not everyone is that pretentious, iIn fact most humans are not .maybe this is just the beginning of whatever they’re doing to adjust it probyis about the replicas ! There are so many and the NF is pretty much mastered in the replica world . I found one at a luxury resale store that the employees couldn’t tell was fake . I had to show and convince them the thing was not real because they were selling a rep for 1600 ! . these reps are getting too good and they’re fighting a losing battle from what I have seen .
I bought a Neverfull last year because I wanted one in my collection regardless how basic it is. I think I would always want one so I bought it. Fast forward,I’ve used twice because I’m not a totes gal…but I don’t think I will sell it.
Just got back from a one month Europe trip and you are right, I saw them all over the airports, I have owned a Neverfull for years and have probably used it a handful of times, but still love it. As far as LV is concerned, I guess they can do what they want and people will still want LV, plus I don’t think LV is concerned with what the little guy thinks.
I totally agree with all of this especially the part about the airport/being a good travel bag. Not even just the neverfull, but any sort of open tote at the airport freaks me out and doesn't provide that security I want in a crowded space...
I have three Neverfull MMs in different colors & patterns and they do have the side & top latches that make them secure enough for me to know my things will not fall out or people will not have easy access to the interior. I've NEVER had a problem at the airport with my neverfulls. I personalize my bags with twillies, scarves, keychains, custom paint sometimes, so I definitely know which one is mine. It's really difficult to mistake others' personal Neverfull for yours. 😅
I went to the LV in Oakbrook, IL and the SA did say there is a waitlist on the original Neverfull. She said it could take up to 3 months and it’s not guaranteed. I got on the waitlist anyway for the LV Monogram with the beige interior so we shall see how long it actually takes for LV to contact me and like you said I have 90 days to think about whether or not I really want this bag😂 This was a great video! It was a reality check for me and a much needed reminder not to fall for the hype and impulse buy😅

Great topic! I do love my neverfull though. It’s great for travel and when running errands. I can toss packages into it and keep going. I get the security issue but I control for that or don’t use it if I’m worried in certain circumstances. I also have the speedy bandolier 35 if I want a zipped option.
Well said. I’ve never been a huge Neverfull fan either b/c the straps are uncomfortable when you have quite a bit of weight in the bag but I do recognize that a lot of people do it and that’s fine.

I have a Neverful GM and I use it solely for travel. I have a Samorga bag organizer in it and I use multiple pouches to keep my items organized. I have a bad back so I carry a pillow in it and it fits perfectly. I like that it is pliable and can be used under an airline seat. I much prefer the canvas vs fabric or leather as the fabric stains and the leather gets scratched. I carry a sarong that I use as a blanket/cover in cold flights and it covers my contents. Plus I like the fact that I can place my crossbody bag on top so I don’t get stopped when boarding the plane. A Goyard bag would not be able to hold as much weight as the Neverful. I also use a rolling bag and secure it with a Cincha belt so I don’t worry about the straps. I like the look of the On the Go, but it wouldn’t serve my purpose of under the seat storage. I don’t think I would pay $2.0K for the Neverful now, I would just use my Tumi or even a Keepall (that’s almost the same price as a Neverful now!).
I own two neverfull bags and I love them. They are definitely in my rotation BUT I’m not sure if it’s where I’m at in my life (mom, teacher, busy life) I reach more for my Longchamp Le Pliage tote. It is so comfortable, it’s affordable, and I can stuff the tote with a laptop and my must have items and it doesn’t weigh down my bag. Which my shoulders appreciate. I purchased my second Longchamp bag (City Tote) after you had announced that Bloomingdale’s had it for such an unbeatable price last summer. I appreciate your thought process and really enjoyed this video.

This reminds me of what happened with the Favourite. I feel like it was 4 years ago now, but rumours when around that it was being discounted, it stayed sold out on the website for a while and then it was reintroduced in a new style. I own 3 Neverfulls in all 3 sizes and while I love it, I don’t think it’s worth todays’s prices. The last Neverfull I bought was $1340 in price I think and I felt like that was at the upwards range of what I’d pay
I finally tried a Neverfull last fall after passing it over in the two years since I’ve started buying luxury. And it confirmed my suspicions that it’s not for me. The straps are too thin, I can’t wear it comfortably on my shoulder, and no possibility of crossbody wear. I’m not really a tote person, but I do have one which is the Marc Jacobs The Tote that everyone else seems to have. I’m happy with it. I have been meaning to get a travel tote and I would sooner get a Longchamp Le Pliage - that will fit nicely under a seat and it’s zippered. Though if I had to choose between a Goyard St. Louis and the LV Neverfull, I’d go for the Neverfull. The Goyard tote wasn’t meant to hold everything and the kitchen sink. They don’t hold up well unless you limit the kinds of items you carry.
As a chinese I've noticed that many of us strive to own as much LVs as possible. A status symbol if you will. Starting with SLGs when we are in our 20s and the first bag, with no fail, is a Neverfull. I was never a LV fan, because it's too flashy to me. I have one vintage Double Zip Pochette my Mom gave me, but I rarely gravitates towards it. Also, I live in Germany, where many people travel to turkey to buy fakes. So any Teen and Twen in Highschool and College all suddenly had a Neverfull. With that said, i do not give into the hype and Panic. I own a Goyard Tote, which is way understated and is now on the 11 years mark with almost no signs of aging or cracking. I do not baby a bag and it's my work tote which i stuff to the rim including a 14 inch laptop.
I love my Le Pliage. It serves the same functions and it zips shut. The Neverfull isn't my style but I can understand the frustration. These companies manipulate comsumers all the time and it sucks 😞.
I got sucked into a rumor last year that canvas wasn’t going to be available so I purchased the Palm Springs mm as my luxury backpack diaper bag. Although I do love and use it a lot, I’m just not going to rush around into rumors swirling anymore. I wanted the goyard artois mm more but ended up getting the LV backpack due to the rumors. I will still get the goyard. I just have to wait longer now I also love LV canvas. If I want leather I go to chanel or Hermes. I love how LV canvas is so hard wearing …
I was at the boutique this weekend picking up an order and as I was leaving in passing asked if there were any updates on the Neverfull. I was told they had one that someone ordered but didn’t get and since they had fulfilled all of their other orders I could purchase it which I did very happily!
I think the neverfull is a beautiful bag i think it can look good dressed up if sinched and I do believe it deserves its space in collectors space. I love Celine and loewe but a loud print with monochrome outfits is always beautiful 😍 my 5 cents!
I’ve been so back and forth about getting a neverfull. On one hand, I AM a tote girl. I LOVE totes. On the other hand, the neverfull definitely feels common. But I can’t ever decide for myself if I buy luxury bags because I like them or because they are not everywhere. I actually like that they are making this move.
Great information. I have 2 Neverfull MMs that I have NEVER used. A “By the Pool” & a classic mono. I have fairly broad shoulders and bigger arms so the straps don’t keep the bag on AT ALL. Longer straps would be better for me but anyway I will keep them just to have them in my collection. The Speedy B 25 is what I use every day, much better for me.
I own the Neverfull PM in damier azur. I purchased it preloved, in pristine condition, after pining for it for several years. I don’t use it often, as I am more drawn to crossbody bags, but I do find it extremely useful when the occasion arises. I am very petite, so I am able to fit the straps on my shoulder. I do wish the straps were a bit longer, as to pass the elbow test, but otherwise I adore it and do not regret my purchase whatsoever. I appreciate your input on the matter. I feel bad for those that are and have purchased in a panic. I wouldn’t pay the current prices retail.

@Hello catwalk city As someone who works in a regional marketing job at a global company- I think this is being done because they have capacity constraints. In order to manufacture more types of bags (more profitable models, even) they are limiting the Neverfull. This frees up capacity for them to make other bags. The Neverfull is probably diluting their margins. It’s a volume driver that erodes margin.
I literally just bought a GM from LV three weeks ago. I love them (this is not my first one and I'm a tote or a crossbody girl) and had been looking at the site thinking about buying another in the MM azur. I will tell you, there's been plenty of stock until the DAY prior to this clown show announcement. I was looking and considering on Thursday morning and suddenly everything was gone. It makes me suspicious that LV actually pulled their stock and then let the word out.
I have 2 speedys and an Alma. They are all nearly 30 years old. I got them because for the price at the time, they were a good ROI. I'm not sure I'd choose them today as the quality of the canvas on my 2 canvas pieces is far superior to what I feel today. But then I'm probably not their intended customer.
Longchamp bags all the way. I have two small ones that mimic the size of the LV satchel. They hold just as much and are way lighter. Come in fun colors. Then the La Pliage for throwing travel stuff in during a road trip. They are work horses and talk about quiet luxury; Prince William was carrying one large dark colored La Pliage from a plane during a trip. As they say, in the quiet, luxury world “if you know, you know“ 😉
Great points. And Poshmark for example is selling LV and under valuing it at this point. There’s so much vintage selling for cheap because apparently everyone has pallets of them to sell. Of relevant bags still. Also they have payed attention to everyone diy chains, straps now putting them on the newer ones. They want to put fear and get attention from people.
It’s true!! Every other person at the airport has a neverfull. My daughter and I love to point out the fake vs the real ones. My daughter bought a neverfull GM in the beginning of COVID for approximately $1890 Canadian for university and now it’s $2670!!! THAT IS LUDICROUS! 6 months after purchasing the bag she hated it and she wants to sell it so badly. I told her when she bought the bag - not to. However, at the same time the bag is $1000 more than what she bought it for so it makes sense to keep it. Louis Vuitton is creating a sense of panic because even though I hate the bag - I went online to see if I could purchase one and I thought to myself - are you crazy or what? Finally got around to watching this. I was going to panic buy but I relaxed heard from my Client Associate and she told me that I’d be waitlisted for 2-3 months. After finishing this video I no longer want the Neverfull and I was never a Neverfull girl to begin with. I hate the trickles these Houses play on us!
I don’t think it’s being discontinued. Maybe they will limit it but not discontinued. I’ve tried different totes - gucci, goyard, longchamp, kate spade, Cuyana, etc. I sold gucci and goyard and didn’t repurchase the other ones. For me Neverfull is still the best tote out there, I do use organiser though and it just works for me. I have both MM and GM. I thought about selling it at one point because of people always saying that it’s everywhere but glad I didn’t cause now I don’t care what people think and I don’t care if it’s everywhere.
Thanks for talking me off the ledge. I’m thinking of getting a different luxury tote or just getting a different LV purse. It will be fine. LV loves this hype and noise and it helps their bottom line. Personally I use a zipper bag for travel like the Longchamp le Pliage bc I can shove it under the seat or overhead and not worry too much about losing my items. Thinking of getting a Goyard Artois or Faure le Page instead.

I love my Fauré Le Page Daily Battle. it comes in a zip version, as well. mine is just the basic open one, but I use it much more than my Neverfull of the same size. I like that no one else has it where I live. I have only seen it ONCE in the wild. on the other hand, all the people who don't know of it may think you're carrying a prettier knock off of Goyard lol jk and unlike Goyard you can buy easily online. no games, despite only around 10 boutiques in the world. love their customer service.

I was at LV over the weekend and there was a leather and monogram and it had a sign saying 'display only' Thankful I have an MM and I love it for work because it fits my laptop. I feel bad for those that have been saving up for it (that was me for years). I was not phased by the news and just more sad for those who not only have to save and then had another 'hurdle' if you will, ahead of them.
it is quite annoying when these luxury stores make it impossible for you to spend your money like they don't even want it. I guess that's part of the intrigue for some, but it really sucks to finally get to the point where you are comfortable spending what they are asking, but wont let you have what you've been saving for.

I think we’ve all experienced this - where we think a certain bag will be great but then it turns out it’s not right for us. It sits in our closet unused for a long while until we decide it’s time to let go. We’ll all been there!
I recently went to the states to Japan and back. I seen a few Damier Ebene Neverful handbags, but none on the conveyer belt but mine. I have three Neverfuls. I have a Neverful monogram MM purchased in 07’ for $645, then I had it refurbished last year for $630 all canvas care, straps and bottom. Basically a new handbag. Purchase a Neverful pm monogram June 22’ for $2,112.88 in Ohio, then purchase a Neverful Damier Ebene MM in July 22 in Japan for $1759.67 yen to us. My bag in Japan was way Cheaper than my Ohio handbag, due to yen prices are low. I do not need any more Neverful, I’m quite happy with the ones I have. The LV store here in Japan sells out of things quickly also. I plan to get a Alma bb, the Passy, and maybe a Speedy and my LV list of handbags will be done. I plan to focus on scarves, shoes, etc.
I own 2 Neverfulls & I bought both more than 10 yrs ago. One of them now belongs to my my daughter & it looks still brand new even though I used it as a work bag, travel bag, Mom bag, etc., I didn’t pay today’s prices 4 either one of those bags, but I know I have definitely gotten my money’s worth. I am a tote girl though & Ive tried many bags & other than the Long Champ, I have not found any other tote bags 2 compare with my Neverfulls. I used an organizer on both bags & that resolves the issues of having compartments or a zipper closure when I need it. Based on how much use I have gotten from them, I think I might still pay today’s prices 4 one. The Goyard might be more of a classic, but I hate their material. They look very flimsy & plastic like. They remind me of the bags that you get when u buy something from Lulu Lemon & you can get those for free. However, I completely agree with you about not panic buying or letting yourself get influenced by FOMO. This goes 4 the Neverfull as well as any other bags from other brands who try doing the exact same thing. Buy it only if you really like it & you know that it serves a purpose in your lifestyle.

We know there are a lot of totes out there but they are not a LV momogram Neverful I love them we all love them and want to own at least one of them preloved are just what they say preloved and most are not in good shape for the price point thank you for sharing

I had a Neverfull MM in Damier Ebene, purchased in 2010 for around $800. I wore it to death as my primary work bag and accidentally spilled my morning oatmeal in it one day (big lesson learned there) 😂 I then sold it, and pretty recently, got the MM in Black Epi leather. I love the look of it so much - it does not sag and droop as you noted, plus it is dressier - and it has since been discontinued. Thought to myself, if I get another Neverfull, it has to be something unique. However, with the pandemic and WFH, I've not used it much. I am probably going to sell it, so maybe my timing is good with this news. Love your perspective on the whole thing Hanna!
@@hellocatwalkcity Living in downtown Chicago, I would always stop at Starbucks to get their oatmeal if in a rush to get to work. It was overfilled by the barista one day and leaked through the bag, which was in the NF. So gross! It left a whitish, milky stain everywhere on the cherry interior 😂😂 Nice to hear that you prefer the black epi too! No kindergarten polka dots or pumpkins on my LV bags though, out of striving for "unique".
I share your opinion on the Neverfull. It ts is not a practical, secure, or dressy bag. Even as far as totes go, not having a zipper to secure items in the tote makes it a no-go for me.
When it comes to totes it’s team Longchamp for me. It’s so underrated lol. But yes I don’t own a neverfull and I’m honestly glad I don’t have one because even tho I’m a mom of 3-realistically I can use it but I’m more of a crossbody person.
Im not sure but have a theory ...there bags have gone a little unexclusive being much more manufactered and people calling it the " mcdonalds" of luxury bags" of vourse not true but seems anyone can buy one second hand along w other styles pretty reasonably where Chanel has since skyrocketed...and their value has gone through the roof...coincidence!?? Given how popular it is why wouldnt they UP prices as well?

it's just artificial scarcity. post Mother's day seems to be when it begins, but they'll get more inventory in early fall, it might get sparse again in boutiques, but they get plenty around the winter holidays both online and off, and you'll be kicking yourself for buying into the "discontinued" rumors, so don't do it! Hermes classically limits their production, too. but I had heard S.A.'s attributing it to the pandemic... however another store had inventory of what I wanted. I may have gotten lucky with my timing. ^_^
The word was "wait-listed' not discontinuing, but the lux community loves and thrive in drama, panic-inducing issues like this. As a NF fan( i have Longchamps but I prefer NF), I don't mind them limiting and as the most faked tote we certainly dont have control, they will always copy the popular ones and fakes will forever thrive side by side OG. Its jus a mattet of where you stand.LvMH is a billion dollar industry and Fakes is also million industry it just a matter where you stand and if you are a true NF lover fear not😅.
I agree there’s often more hype and drama online than needs to be 😂 but to be fair, two of the original posts I saw on this topic clearly said “discontinued” but then the story changed to “waitlisted” after a day or two. I am also not a fan. I got the mm and it was too big on me so I sold it. I felt like it was carrying me! The pm is too small and the gm is way too big. So I don’t care if it is discontinued. GP30 or Goyard pm is diff and u don’t see it as much which is nice
Maybe LV is hoping for a burst of sales with this rumor or non-rumor. All the luxury brands are going to price themselves and "exclusivize" (my made up word) into non-existence. Probably not, but it's really getting crazy, out of control. Plus, the minute they leave the boutique lot they lose so much value (like a car). For many items, buy pre-loved.
What about the battle tote by Fauré le Page? Can you make a vlog about it? Also, do you remember that in the early or mid 2000s Burberry was also seen every where? They changed their branding. Maybe LV will do the same?

I was on the NF launch waiting list in Milan, Italy, Xmas 2007. I got my call from LV Rinascente on Xmas Eve. I spent 300 euros on a NF GM. I was the only one owning one back in the day. I loved the launch advertisement, which was that the bag could carry 200 kilos and was indestructible. My ex-German boyfriend loved it, always wore it, and kept it. Now, every other female... And male has one. I sold my LV collection of 30 pieces in 2014 when I started my own business, and I haven't bought LV since... Though I have a secret crush on a speedy 25 monogram.

I was starting to think I was the only 1 who doesn’t consider the NEVERFULL a good travel bag . I too need closure and compartments . My vintage Montsouris gm works perfect for me as a travel bag , especially traveling on a plane . This NEVERFULL talk does not affect me lol , not even a little bit . I do have 1 NEVERFULL in a mon monogram in the GM size , I never use it anymore . I did at 1 time but now it just sits pretty on my closet shelf . It will be interesting to see where all this talk goes ❤

Point of clarification: the monogram print was inspired by a west African tribe whose textiles feature the same fleur de lis. Please give credit where credit is due. Too much is stolen from the continent without attribution.
I always want one of the NeverFull tote, but the problem with that bag, I am too big for the PM size, and too small for the MM size, and the GM is even larger. Hahaha. What I meant is when it put on my shoulder, the PM size doesn’t look nice on me, MM/GM size look too big on my shoulder. Basically, I was between those PM/MM size lol. Anyway, there was one time, I went to a wine tasting for a bday event, every tables of those lady have a LV Never Full tote, but use for what? Well it was for little pouch for the little puppy!!!!!!!!!! 😅😅😅

I really don't care about that bag. For that purpose I have my monochromatic navy Longchamp with the cross body strap. It's safer and in my opinion, prettier. Not to mention I can cross-body it if I have to.

Yeah, from the onset, i am not a fan of Neverfull and all of a sudden i feel like i need to have one because of all these. Then i stopped. In the first place i do not want it because it is so opened Tote and the handle is so thin. I would rather buy Faure Le Page, (the one with Zipper) which is so much more quiet luxury if come to think about it. I do not get it how people can use it for travel in the airport given that is so opened and everything can fall out or else one have to shove it below the seat which is so dirty in my opinion and yes no security at all too. That is why i got the Graceful PM instead. That at least is very close to my armpit and has a magnetic closure. Not fully closed but at least still not as opened as the Neverfull and certainly Neverfull is not cheap at all. Exactly, Monogram is not LV's first print, The Damier Ebene is the one according to their history. I do have the Speedy 25 in Damier Ebene and also the Pochette Accessories. Both are also work horse handbags in my opinion. If Louis Vuitton is going to associate with quiet luxury, i think they can just close business. The kindergarten polka dot bag. pumpkin, & faces are hideous and no one is buying. People want classic. They literally just pulled every basic one of the website overnight. I once saw a video about pick pocketing in Europe and the real life footage that they showed was a woman carrying her Neverfull. It was so easy for the pickpocketers to get in and out within a blink of an eye, taking the woman’s wallet. 😣
I truly think LV is trying their hardest to make their brand more exclusive than it already is. The best way to do that is to limit productions to a scant number, and to bump up the prices so it’s virtually untouchable by people that can’t afford it. The latter has been happening in the past few years. This is all marketing 101 and it appears to be working already as many regular folks are stepping away from a brand that appears to have never wanted them as customers to begin with.
I love your take on the Neverfull debate. You make complete sense. I’ve never been completely sold on the big tote either, preferring a crossbody. I’m not buying into the hype either to rush and get one in fear of discontinuation. I do feel that the alleged retirement/waitlist of the Neverfull hype on social media is probably going to make the LV canvas department very busy in the near future 😀

I love my Neverfull. I got it 15 years ago for $645. Even back then, everyone carried it. I didn't care then, and I don't care now. It was my first for real luxury handbag, and I did purchase it bc of the monogram. I love my Neverfull. For me it is, arguably, the most practical and useful bag in my collection. I certainly rotate it in and out of my routine, and it does serve a specific purpose, but I will never get rid of it. I believe it's because of the Neverfull that I know almost unequivocally, what type of bag I prefer. A bit larger, that can carry a reasonable amount. Tote style. Easy to access. Lightweight and comfortable. It's a workhorse. Work, errands, travel, you really can't go wrong. And with all the different variations, there really is a style for almost everyone. Its iconic for a reason. All that being said, it is not worth the prices in 2023.
You basically paid the price that it debuted at. I don’t know if you caught that part of the video, but I mentioned how the Neverfull was released in 2007 at $645 (just about 15-16 years ago). It sounds like it works well for you so that’s great.

I have a monogram GM that I bought new last summer. I find it useful for in-office days when I need to carry a ton of stuff, but it’s mainly a travel bag for me. I like that it fits underneath airline seats and can smoosh around easily. I agree that I see Neverfulls at airports but certainly not quite as much as the person ahead of me and behind me carrying one that I would confuse which bag is mine. It’s a functional bag and nothing more. My Chanel, Loewe, and other mini bags are more my fun/dressy bags. I’m glad to have a variety that serve different purposes. Was not phased by this news since all brands have annoying marketing tactics they implement for supply/demand purposes.

Agree , it isn’t about exclusivity… every one just jumps to that word because Hermes are so silly with their “ stuff 😂” but not everyone is that pretentious, iIn fact most humans are not .maybe this is just the beginning of whatever they’re doing to adjust it probyis about the replicas ! There are so many and the NF is pretty much mastered in the replica world . I found one at a luxury resale store that the employees couldn’t tell was fake . I bought a Neverfull last year because I wanted one in my collection regardless how basic it is. I think I would always want one so I bought it. Fast forward,I’ve used twice because I’m not a totes gal…but I don’t think I will sell it.
Just got back from a one month Europe trip and you are right, I saw them all over the airports, I have owned a Neverfull for years and have probably used it a handful of times, but still love it. As far as LV is concerned, I guess they can do what they want and people will still want LV, plus I don’t think LV is concerned with what the little guy thinks.

I totally agree with all of this especially the part about the airport/being a good travel bag. Not even just the neverfull, but any sort of open tote at the airport freaks me out and doesn't provide that security I want in a crowded space...
I have three Neverfull MMs in different colors & patterns and they do have the side & top latches that make them secure enough for me to know my things will not fall out or people will not have easy access to the interior. I've NEVER had a problem at the airport with my neverfulls. I personalize my bags with twillies, scarves, keychains, custom paint sometimes, so I definitely know which one is mine. It's really difficult to mistake others' personal Neverfull for yours. 😅
I went to the LV in Oakbrook, IL and the SA did say there is a waitlist on the original Neverfull. She said it could take up to 3 months and it’s not guaranteed. I got on the waitlist anyway for the LV Monogram with the beige interior so we shall see how long it actually takes for LV to contact me and like you said I have 90 days to think about whether or not I really want this bag😂

Great topic! I do love my neverfull though. It’s great for travel and when running errands. I can toss packages into it and keep going. I get the security issue but I control for that or don’t use it if I’m worried in certain circumstances. I also have the speedy bandolier 35 if I want a zipped option.
Well said. I’ve never been a huge Neverfull fan either b/c the straps are uncomfortable when you have quite a bit of weight in the bag but I do recognize that a lot of people do it and that’s fine.

I have a Neverful GM and I use it solely for travel. I have a Samorga bag organizer in it and I use multiple pouches to keep my items organized. I have a bad back so I carry a pillow in it and it fits perfectly. I like that it is pliable and can be used under an airline seat. I much prefer the canvas vs fabric or leather as the fabric stains and the leather gets scratched. I carry a sarong that I use as a blanket/cover in cold flights and it covers my contents. Plus I like the fact that I can place my crossbody bag on top so I don’t get stopped when boarding the plane. A Goyard bag would not be able to hold as much weight as the Neverful. I also use a rolling bag and secure it with a Cincha belt so I don’t worry about the straps. I like the look of the On the Go, but it wouldn’t serve my purpose of under the seat storage. I don’t think I would pay $2.0K for the Neverful now, I would just use my Tumi or even a Keepall (that’s almost the same price as a Neverful now!).
I own two neverfull bags and I love them. They are definitely in my rotation BUT I’m not sure if it’s where I’m at in my life (mom, teacher, busy life) I reach more for my Longchamp Le Pliage tote. It is so comfortable, it’s affordable, and I can stuff the tote with a laptop and my must have items and it doesn’t weigh down my bag. Which my shoulders appreciate. I purchased my second Longchamp bag (City Tote) after you had announced that Bloomingdale’s had it for such an unbeatable price last summer. I appreciate your thought process and really enjoyed this video.

This reminds me of what happened with the Favourite. I feel like it was 4 years ago now, but rumours when around that it was being discounted, it stayed sold out on the website for a while and then it was reintroduced in a new style. I own 3 Neverfulls in all 3 sizes and while I love it, I don’t think it’s worth todays’s prices. The last Neverfull I bought was $1340 in price I think and I felt like that was at the upwards range of what I’d pay

I finally tried a Neverfull last fall after passing it over in the two years since I’ve started buying luxury. And it confirmed my suspicions that it’s not for me. The straps are too thin, I can’t wear it comfortably on my shoulder, and no possibility of crossbody wear. I’m not really a tote person, but I do have one which is the Marc Jacobs The Tote that everyone else seems to have. I’m happy with it. I have been meaning to get a travel tote and I would sooner get a Longchamp Le Pliage - that will fit nicely under a seat and it’s zippered. Though if I had to choose between a Goyard St. Louis and the LV Neverfull, I’d go for the Neverfull. The Goyard tote wasn’t meant to hold everything and the kitchen sink. They don’t hold up well unless you limit the kinds of items you carry.
I tried the Neverfull on in the store as well, just to satisfy so many people asking me to at least TRY it! 😂 And nope, not for me either!

As a chinese I've noticed that many of us strive to own as much LVs as possible. A status symbol if you will. Starting with SLGs when we are in our 20s and the first bag, with no fail, is a Neverfull. I was never a LV fan, because it's too flashy to me. I have one vintage Double Zip Pochette my Mom gave me, but I rarely gravitates towards it. Also, I live in Germany, where many people travel to turkey to buy fakes. So any Teen and Twen in Highschool and College all suddenly had a Neverfull. With that said, i do not give into the hype and Panic. I own a Goyard Tote, which is way understated and is now on the 11 years mark with almost no signs of aging or cracking. I do not baby a bag and it's my work tote which i stuff to the rim including a 14 inch laptop.
I love my Le Pliage. It serves the same functions and it zips shut. The Neverfull isn't my style but I can understand the frustration. These companies manipulate comsumers all the time and it sucks 😞.
I got sucked into a rumor last year that canvas wasn’t going to be available so I purchased the Palm Springs mm as my luxury backpack diaper bag. Although I do love and use it a lot, I’m just not going to rush around into rumors swirling anymore. I wanted the goyard artois mm more but ended up getting the LV backpack due to the rumors. I will still get the goyard. I just have to wait longer now
I also love LV canvas. If I want leather I go to chanel or Hermes. I love how LV canvas is so hard wearing …
I was at the boutique this weekend picking up an order and as I was leaving in passing asked if there were any updates on the Neverfull. I was told they had one that someone ordered but didn’t get and since they had fulfilled all of their other orders I could purchase it which I did very happily!
I think the neverfull is a beautiful bag i think it can look good dressed up if sinched and I do believe it deserves its space in collectors space. I love Celine and loewe but a loud print with monochrome outfits is always beautiful 😍 my 5 cents!

I’ve been so back and forth about getting a neverfull. On one hand, I AM a tote girl. I LOVE totes. On the other hand, the neverfull definitely feels common. But I can’t ever decide for myself if I buy luxury bags because I like them or because they are not everywhere. I actually like that they are making this move.
Great information. I have 2 Neverfull MMs that I have NEVER used. A “By the Pool” & a classic mono. I have fairly broad shoulders and bigger arms so the straps don’t keep the bag on AT ALL. Longer straps would be better for me but anyway I will keep them just to have them in my collection. The Speedy B 25 is what I use every day, much better for me.

I own the Neverfull PM in damier azur. I purchased it preloved, in pristine condition, after pining for it for several years. I don’t use it often, as I am more drawn to crossbody bags, but I do find it extremely useful when the occasion arises. I am very petite, so I am able to fit the straps on my shoulder. I do wish the straps were a bit longer, as to pass the elbow test, but otherwise I adore it and do not regret my purchase whatsoever.
I appreciate your input on the matter. I feel bad for those that are and have purchased in a panic. I wouldn’t pay the current prices retail.

@Hello catwalk city As someone who works in a regional marketing job at a global company- I think this is being done because they have capacity constraints. In order to manufacture more types of bags (more profitable models, even) they are limiting the Neverfull. This frees up capacity for them to make other bags. The Neverfull is probably diluting their margins. It’s a volume driver that erodes margin.
I literally just bought a GM from LV three weeks ago. I love them (this is not my first one and I'm a tote or a crossbody girl) and had been looking at the site thinking about buying another in the MM azur. I will tell you, there's been plenty of stock until the DAY prior to this clown show announcement. I was looking and considering on Thursday morning and suddenly everything was gone. It makes me suspicious that LV actually pulled their stock and then let the word out.
I have 2 speedys and an Alma. They are all nearly 30 years old. I got them because for the price at the time, they were a good ROI. I'm not sure I'd choose them today as the quality of the canvas on my 2 canvas pieces is far superior to what I feel today. But then I'm probably not their intended customer.
Longchamp bags all the way. I have two small ones that mimic the size of the LV satchel. They hold just as much and are way lighter. Come in fun colors. Then the La Pliage for throwing travel stuff in during a road trip. They are work horses and talk about quiet luxury; Prince William was carrying one large dark colored La Pliage from a plane during a trip. As they say, in the quiet, luxury world “if you know, you know“ 😉
Great points. And Poshmark for example is selling LV and under valuing it at this point. There’s so much vintage selling for cheap because apparently everyone has pallets of them to sell. Of relevant bags still. Also they have payed attention to everyone diy chains, straps now putting them on the newer ones. They want to put fear and get attention from people.

It’s true!! Every other person at the airport has a neverfull. My daughter and I love to point out the fake vs the real ones. My daughter bought a neverfull GM in the beginning of COVID for approximately $1890 Canadian for university and now it’s $2670!!! THAT IS LUDICROUS! 6 months after purchasing the bag she hated it and she wants to sell it so badly. I told her when she bought the bag - not to. However, at the same time the bag is $1000 more than what she bought it for so it makes sense to keep it. Louis Vuitton is creating a sense of panic because even though I hate the bag - I went online to see if I could purchase one and I thought to myself - are you crazy or what? Finally got around to watching this. I was going to panic buy but I relaxed heard from my Client Associate and she told me that I’d be waitlisted for 2-3 months. After finishing this video I no longer want the Neverfull and I was never a Neverfull girl to begin with. I hate the trickles these Houses play on us!
I don’t think it’s being discontinued. Maybe they will limit it but not discontinued.
I’ve tried different totes - gucci, goyard, longchamp, kate spade, Cuyana, etc. I sold gucci and goyard and didn’t repurchase the other ones. For me Neverfull is still the best tote out there, I do use organiser though and it just works for me. I have both MM and GM. I thought about selling it at one point because of people always saying that it’s everywhere but glad I didn’t cause now I don’t care what people think and I don’t care if it’s everywhere.
Thanks for talking me off the ledge. I’m thinking of getting a different luxury tote or just getting a different LV purse. It will be fine. LV loves this hype and noise and it helps their bottom line. Personally I use a zipper bag for travel like the Longchamp le Pliage bc I can shove it under the seat or overhead and not worry too much about losing my items. Thinking of getting a Goyard Artois or Faure le Page instead.

I love my Fauré Le Page Daily Battle. it comes in a zip version, as well. mine is just the basic open one, but I use it much more than my Neverfull of the same size. I like that no one else has it where I live. I have only seen it ONCE in the wild. on the other hand, all the people who don't know of it may think you're carrying a prettier knock off of Goyard lol jk and unlike Goyard you can buy easily online. no games, despite only around 10 boutiques in the world. love their customer service.

I was at LV over the weekend and there was a leather and monogram and it had a sign saying 'display only' Thankful I have an MM and I love it for work because it fits my laptop. I feel bad for those that have been saving up for it (that was me for years). I was not phased by the news and just more sad for those who not only have to save and then had another 'hurdle' if you will, ahead of them.

it is quite annoying when these luxury stores make it impossible for you to spend your money like they don't even want it. I guess that's part of the intrigue for some, but it really sucks to finally get to the point where you are comfortable spending what they are asking, but wont let you have what you've been saving for.

I think we’ve all experienced this - where we think a certain bag will be great but then it turns out it’s not right for us. It sits in our closet unused for a long while until we decide it’s time to let go. We’ll all been there!
I recently went to the states to Japan and back. I seen a few Damier Ebene Neverful handbags, but none on the conveyer belt but mine. I have three Neverfuls. I have a Neverful monogram MM purchased in 07’ for $645, then I had it refurbished last year for $630 all canvas care, straps and bottom. Basically a new handbag. Purchase a Neverful pm monogram June 22’ for $2,112.88 in Ohio, then purchase a Neverful Damier Ebene MM in July 22 in Japan for $1759.67 yen to us. My bag in Japan was way Cheaper than my Ohio handbag, due to yen prices are low. I do not need any more Neverful, I’m quite happy with the ones I have. The LV store here in Japan sells out of things quickly also. I plan to get a Alma bb, the Passy, and maybe a Speedy and my LV list of handbags will be done. I plan to focus on scarves, shoes, etc.
I own 2 Neverfulls & I bought both more than 10 yrs ago. One of them now belongs to my my daughter & it looks still brand new even though I used it as a work bag, travel bag, Mom bag, etc., I didn’t pay today’s prices 4 either one of those bags, but I know I have definitely gotten my money’s worth. I am a tote girl though & Ive tried many bags & other than the Long Champ, I have not found any other tote bags 2 compare with my Neverfulls. I used an organizer on both bags & that resolves the issues of having compartments or a zipper closure when I need it. Based on how much use I have gotten from them, I think I might still pay today’s prices 4 one. The Goyard might be more of a classic, but I hate their material. They look very flimsy & plastic like. They remind me of the bags that you get when u buy something from Lulu Lemon & you can get those for free. However, I completely agree with you about not panic buying or letting yourself get influenced by FOMO. This goes 4 the Neverfull as well as any other bags from other brands who try doing the exact same thing. Buy it only if you really like it & you know that it serves a purpose in your lifestyle.

I had a Neverfull MM in Damier Ebene, purchased in 2010 for around $800. I wore it to death as my primary work bag and accidentally spilled my morning oatmeal in it one day (big lesson learned there) 😂 I then sold it, and pretty recently, got the MM in Black Epi leather. I love the look of it so much - it does not sag and droop as you noted, plus it is dressier - and it has since been discontinued. Thought to myself, if I get another Neverfull, it has to be something unique. However, with the pandemic and WFH, I've not used it much. It was overfilled by the barista one day and leaked through the bag, which was in the NF. So gross! I share your opinion on the Neverfull. It ts is not a practical, secure, or dressy bag. Even as far as totes go, not having a zipper to secure items in the tote makes it a no-go for me.
When it comes to totes it’s team Longchamp for me. It’s so underrated lol. But yes I don’t own a neverfull and I’m honestly glad I don’t have one because even tho I’m a mom of 3-realistically I can use it but I’m more of a crossbody person.
Im not sure but have a theory ...there bags have gone a little unexclusive being much more manufactered and people calling it the " mcdonalds" of luxury bags" of vourse not true but seems anyone can buy one second hand along w other styles pretty reasonably where Chanel has since skyrocketed...and their value has gone through the roof...coincidence!?? Given how popular it is why wouldnt they UP prices as well?

it's just artificial scarcity. post Mother's day seems to be when it begins, but they'll get more inventory in early fall, it might get sparse again in boutiques, but they get plenty around the winter holidays both online and off, and you'll be kicking yourself for buying into the "discontinued" rumors, so don't do it!
Hermes classically limits their production, too. but I had heard S.A.'s attributing it to the pandemic... however another store had inventory of what I wanted. I may have gotten lucky with my timing. ^_^
I have owned the large never full for 15 years. It is great for traveling and honestly it's the only time I use it.
The word was "wait-listed' not discontinuing, but the lux community loves and thrive in drama, panic-inducing issues like this. As a NF fan( i have Longchamps but I prefer NF), I don't mind them limiting and as the most faked tote we certainly dont have control, they will always copy the popular ones and fakes will forever thrive side by side OG. Its jus a mattet of where you stand.LvMH is a billion dollar industry and Fakes is also million industry it just a matter where you stand and if you are a true NF lover fear not😅.

Maybe LV is hoping for a burst of sales with this rumor or non-rumor. All the luxury brands are going to price themselves and "exclusivize" (my made up word) into non-existence. Probably not, but it's really getting crazy, out of control. Plus, the minute they leave the boutique lot they lose so much value (like a car). For many items, buy pre-loved.

I was on the NF launch waiting list in Milan, Italy, Xmas 2007. I got my call from LV Rinascente on Xmas Eve. I spent 300 euros on a NF GM. I was the only one owning one back in the day. I loved the launch advertisement, which was that the bag could carry 200 kilos and was indestructible.
My ex-German boyfriend loved it, always wore it, and kept it.
Now, every other female... And male has one.
I sold my LV collection of 30 pieces in 2014 when I started my own business, and I haven't bought LV since...

I was starting to think I was the only 1 who doesn’t consider the NEVERFULL a good travel bag . I too need closure and compartments . My vintage Montsouris gm works perfect for me as a travel bag , especially traveling on a plane . This NEVERFULL talk does not affect me lol , not even a little bit . I do have 1 NEVERFULL in a mon monogram in the GM size , I never use it anymore . I did at 1 time but now it just sits pretty on my closet shelf . It will be interesting to see where all this talk goes ❤

I always want one of the NeverFull tote, but the problem with that bag, I am too big for the PM size, and too small for the MM size, and the GM is even larger. Hahaha. What I meant is when it put on my shoulder, the PM size doesn’t look nice on me, MM/GM size look too big on my shoulder. Basically, I was between those PM/MM size lol. Anyway, there was one time, I went to a wine tasting for a bday event, every tables of those lady have a LV Never Full tote, but use for what? Well it was for little pouch for the little puppy!!!!!!!!!! 😅😅😅
I'm completely unbothered by this. Even though I love totes, the NF never appealed to me. There are a lot of options out there. There is no need to panic buy. I really don't care about that bag. For that purpose I have my monochromatic navy Longchamp with the cross body strap. It's safer and in my opinion, prettier. Not to mention I can cross-body it if I have to.

Yeah, from the onset, i am not a fan of Neverfull and all of a sudden i feel like i need to have one because of all these. Then i stopped. In the first place i do not want it because it is so opened Tote and the handle is so thin. I would rather buy Faure Le Page, (the one with Zipper) which is so much more quiet luxury if come to think about it. I do not get it how people can use it for travel in the airport given that is so opened and everything can fall out or else one have to shove it below the seat which is so dirty in my opinion and yes no security at all too. That is why i got the Graceful PM instead. That at least is very close to my armpit and has a magnetic closure. Not fully closed but at least still not as opened as the Neverfull and certainly Neverfull is not cheap at all. Exactly, Monogram is not LV's first print, The Damier Ebene is the one according to their history. I do have the Speedy 25 in Damier Ebene and also the Pochette Accessories. Both are also work horse handbags in my opinion. If Louis Vuitton is going to associate with quiet luxury, i think they can just close business. Most of their handbags even the leather ones are with their logos, for leather especially on the lock. How quiet can that be...? lol. Thanks for this video 😍

I once saw a video about pick pocketing in Europe and the real life footage that they showed was a woman carrying her Neverfull. It was so easy for the pickpocketers to get in and out within a blink of an eye, taking the woman’s wallet. 😣

I truly think LV is trying their hardest to make their brand more exclusive than it already is. The best way to do that is to limit productions to a scant number, and to bump up the prices so it’s virtually untouchable by people that can’t afford it. The latter has been happening in the past few years. This is all marketing 101 and it appears to be working already as many regular folks are stepping away from a brand that appears to have never wanted them as customers to begin with.
…I could go deeper into this, but I do STRONGLY believe that racism and economics play greatly into all of this as a marketing scheme.

I love your take on the Neverfull debate. You make complete sense. I’ve never been completely sold on the big tote either, preferring a crossbody. I’m not buying into the hype either to rush and get one in fear of discontinuation. I do feel that the alleged retirement/waitlist of the Neverfull hype on social media is probably going to make the LV canvas department very busy in the near future 😀
