Had mine since 31/12. Best phone I've ever had. Still trying to get to grips with all it can do. Yes the battery life needs nursing but overall an absolutely top 10/10 phone. Get one!!

I bought this phone last year and I have to say that I would never plan to change any phone any soon. It's good for internet(of course) but also the picture quality is so amazing. It has its own edit features and looks like you took the pic using dslr camera. The keyboard make it a lot cooler, but of course,it's heavier than any htc phone though

I must say I'm not an HTC fan due to their product quality but when I got this phone I say that HTC has improved! This smartphone is like a small beast. It's for everybody. I said this cuz all you need is in this phone. Not to mention the OS. If your having trouble about the Android there are a lot of support forums on the net. It's totally for you.
WOW! I paid no attention to this when it came out on T-Mobile, but this phone is friggen awesome! Have to see what WP7 does next, but the G2 is in the lead by a long shot as it stands.
hTC quietly brilliant slogan is absolitely humble. I have made comparisons between other android pgones and my dezire z, I found out that they are incapable of matching you. I have rlthis piece of brilliant hardware in Egypt, where it's rare to find, and all my friends envy me. Thumbs up for my last and only desire, the Z.
This looks like a brilliant, far superior alternative to a Blackberry. It gives you the best of both worlds really because it has a touchscreen as well as a physical keyboard. Personally I prefer the Desire HD but this looks like a great phone :)
I have this phone and it is very good &strong...it "fly" from my second floor in my school and it is life....

@rikanboyy It depends. Some of the features are introduced by HTC Sense UI, which is a OS modification done by HTC. GT comes with a vanilla Google Android OS. I believe fliping the phone to make it go silent is a HTC Sense UI feature.
@RavingReviews125 a bit late i know, however, this phone was released in 2010 and most cell providers have moved on. you will have to resort to ebay craigslist or kijiji to purchase.or google and you may find independent shops that may "cell" it
I will be getting this instead of the Desire HD, QWERTY Keyboards are good, and I don't want a too big screen. Getting this for Christmas, I can't wait!
I love this phone... I got the G2... pretty much the Desire Z without HTC Sense. I can tell sense is awesome, the the Desire Z is pretty awesome without it.
@HD4TEK Glad you like it. It is really a beautiful phone to see, but I don't like the design of the keyboard corners (where the screen flips over the keyboard) . I hope they make a 4.3" qwerty device :P
I had the choice of the HD or the Desire Z. I chose the Z simply because of the Droid plantform. I am switching over from an Iphone. The Iphone is good but I feel the android platform is far more versatile and user friendly. I don't trust Windows as of yet on mobile devices. The HD is a good way for them to improve on their potential flaws, learn from their mistakes and all that. For now, Droid is definitely the way to go and especially the Z handset. It's honestly an amazing phone.
I changed back then one-s for this old desireZ. Best phone,one of the most complete phone on market, even if it's old! Thanks to xda dev, still support it!
I got this Christmas present, a really fast and smartphone, operating system and Flash Player to function without problems, even if the CPU frequency is 800 MHz, a very powerful smartphone! :)
wow :) I love the concept of z-slide design. That's why it's called Desire Z. HTC is getting more and more creative :) Please do not trick loyal customers by using low-capacity 1200mAH on any of your new phones, like Desire HD. I'm glad Desire Z is powered by 1300mAH battery. Is it hard to supply a minimum of 1500mAH battery on all your smartphones? Please keep it up :) Of course, this is just my opinion, yours might differ.
I bought this cell like 2 weeks ago and i must admit - "Z" overgrew my expectations! It's just great! The only model of HTC I like better is Evo 3D, although it isn't a slider, so... Besides, Evo's let's say "a lil bit" too expensive (about 1000 USD).
It's beautiful and the keyboard seems miles better than blackberry's. I don't get why people like them because i tried a blackberry and the keyboard was horribly small and uncomfortable. this looks brilliant
I was playing around with one at future shop and was playing miniclip flash games on it and must say that really turned my head I would consider getting this and selling iPhone but I still haven't made a choice
Blackberries is BBM. If only android came out with something like that... This is the best phone designed by HTC. It's better than the HTC Status too btw, and to me, it's the best phone in the world. I you buy it' you will will love it.
@masterleron you don't need to unlock it, you just have to check the setting blocking you from installing apps other than the ones found on android market.
Okay, watching this video has made me WANT TO BUY THIS PHONE! Seriously im wrestling between Desire HD and this. HD would be nice with 8mpix camera and a bigger screen, but Z's full keyboard is also VERY tempting because i have never really liked typing with touch screen. (my current phone has one, but i dont really like it)...
i got this rom on my htc g2 and it has a perm root yes a perm root finally!! anyways its a realy good rom .. htc sense 2.2 from this desire z is really badass i recommend it alot
@malockirl The HD is for those who don't want the hardware keyboard as it has a bigger screen and better specs. But the Desire-Z is what i'll be getting because on-screen keyboards are a PITA. Incidentally the Desire Z has better specs than the original Desire.
My brother got this phone and it feels a bit thick while holding. The most irritating thing about this phone is the battery time. If you are a heavy user, the battery will not last the whole day! But I like the screen and small features including the HTC Sense.

@KRONUS282 Try the regular Desire. The features are essentially the same except the regular desire has a slightly faster processor (Snapdragon) but apparently you can't really tell the difference. The Desire also runs on android 2.1 (Eclair) but I think you can upgrade it to 2.2. There are a couple of features that have obviously been improved on the Z but the Desire is meant to be an excellent phone. Try looking at some reviews or hands on videos on youtube and around the internet :)

It's great in grey, trust me I have one. Its only problem is the user available memory. Browsing is awesome and it's a really good phone.

I have that phone today. it's great. call, sms, photo, camera. All in one. I don't use internet on phone and thix phone is great even today.

@esaedvik well it's not entirely horrible, just that's its 800mhz processor, which isn't ideal and 512mb of RAM which is sufficient but I'd like more
