I think its just the part in the front, if he would shave that it would just look like typical male pattern baldness.

You should worry more about yourself. What if he enjoys having his hair like that? Your name really fits.

I don't care if people have pony tail, long hair, shaved head or any other hair style or hair cut. There is a line I wouldn't cross. Than there is this.
You can't pay attention to the content of the video as this is distracting. Everyone will notice it and feel bad for the guy. More than laughing at the person most people really want to help him realise it's a lost cause and shaving or no. 1 haricut is the only viable option left.
Except him no one cares if he had no hair. Stephen doesn't have hair and no one mentions it or talks about it. But this losing battle with hair loss is quiet painful to watch. He is black belt in BJJ and a white belt in hair loss.

1 yr of judo and bjj. 5 classes a week. Good uchikomi, good newaza, (good for my level). But I cant pull off a throw in randori. Any tips?
If it matters I am blind

My biggest advice is to not worry about throws, but obsessively focus on grip fighting. Be patient, work for the grips. Impatient opponents won't fight you that hard on grips, because they're in a hurry to get the takedown, and grips just don't seem very threatening. But with really aggressive grips, you can greatly increase your ability to successfully throw someone. Simultaneously, defend against mirror grips and good grips in general. Not only can those be used to throw you, but they can lock you out of certain throws/sweeps or just make them much more difficult to achieve.
It's just like submissions in ne waza. Submissions are generally quite easy to perform, but the trick is putting yourself in a position to execute them. If people will just give me s-mount and let me hook their arm, I could pull off armbars all day. The submission is pretty easy, but fighting to pass a guard, get a good side control, switch to mount (or switch to reverse kesa gatame and then mount), then switch to s-mount, now that's hard. This is roughly the equivalent of getting ideal grips in tachi waza.

What if he's throwing punches down the pipe and not swinging like a clubbing idiot . Demonstrate like that

    • @SenpaiTorpidDOW

It's the same kind of principle tbh just expect to get hit a few times before you can move him. Can always try to catch one of the punching arms with an overhook and move your head and body to the side which he punched from then use the overhook to help you shift his bodyweight by trapping and pulling his arm the opposite direction that your hips are pushing him. Then just follow through as per the video.
Problem is if they are strong and throwing normal, quick punches A) They will be way better balanced than how Stefan is in this video and harder to topple with just your hips. B) They will be retracting their arms so quick after striking you it will be hard to catch them. So you have to expect to get hit at least a few times before you can dodge it.
Generally though the power of punches from the guard that are not huge overhands is only gonna cut and bruise you. Not gonna knock you out so I say fuck the helmet guad, keep your head moving and use your arms to dis-balance him by grabbing shoulders or ideally catching his arms.
Guard is way less powerful when strikes are allowed. That said you have the opportunity to kick him in the ribs with your heel in that scenario ;)

It is almost impossible to throw a punch like that in full closed guard , maybe elbows , but you can't throw a KO punch unless you have the strength of a powerlifter.

That's why a lot of pro mma fighters will resort to landing elbows rather than punches in that position especially against a high level grapplers, so that they won't get easily caught.
