- The FIS Alpine World Ski Championships 1978 were held in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Bavaria, West Germany, between January 29 and February 5. It held competitions in alpine skiing like downhill, special slalom, giant slalom and combined. This film features the Men's and Women's races. Notable athletes include Cindy Nelson (Hall of Fame Class of 2002), Phil Mahre, Bernard Russi, Jean-Claude Killy, Annemarie Moser-Pröll, and Pete Patterson.
Produced and Directed by Joe Jay Jalbert and Kim Takal. Production Team- Renee Broekman, Eddie Salier, John Alper, Ken Campbell, Gege Languepin, and Steve Collin.
