- Hey guys if you have an Audi TT Mk2 and it has the DSG in it then you should give this video a view!!! If you dislike your stock automatic shift knob and would like a manual look this product from BFI is for you. This is NOT a sponsored video. The suede steering wheel is actually just a cover that gets sewn on over the stock leather. Definitely a time consuming install however I will be redoing mine soon so I just might do a how to on it. I am no seamstress that's for sure hahaha sewing is definitely not my strong suit but I'll try my best. @@Mega4KVlogz I wasnt sure if it was a TTS or not.
Mine is stuck in park, unless I take the knob and the whole surround off and lift the plastic centre peace up.
The button on the knob is stuck in and won't come out, any ideas would be grateful
If the button is stuck but you can manually lift the plastic piece to get it out of park I would suggest a new shift knob. If you take everything off and the plastic piece is broken or seized you may need to replace the shifter setup. This kit utilizes the stock plastic piece thats inside of your shifter lever to change how it engages. This would fix your problem IF that peice inside the shifter lever is in tact. Mine was blue plastic and it has a hole through it almost like a seweing needle. The button has a part that goes through that hole in order to lift the platic and allow you to shift out of park. Hopefully this helps you out a bit if not feel free to ask away.
@@Mega4KVlogz Yes I can select any mode I want by lifting the plastic peace by hand, its like yours but turned 90 degrees as my button is on the front of the knob.
It looks like its intact but the button on the knob doesn't engage it at all, is there any way to open the knob up to get inside? Thanks for your help
So i just got home from work and checked out my old shift knob. It doesn't look like it comes apart easily if at all. I do know that the after market kit I got does work on both button styles (front) or (side) buttons. Hopefully your knob is built a bit different than mine and yours may come apart. Hope it works out for you fam!!! If not you can always get a used knob somewhere if you dont plan on getting a brand new one.

I ordered it directly from BFI. You can customize the materials and the colors as well. Awesome product and it wasnt to hard to install as you seen in the video. Nice upgrade to the interior and is a theft deterrent as nobody knows how to get it in gear hahaha. Thanks for the support fam 😎

Wsup bro. Good looking whip. I have the first gen tt with DSG side push button would this conversion work on mine? Can the converter work on another universal shift knob. I purchased one from eBay but claims to work only on push down button. But I saw another dude on RUclips I believe his name is true lies which has the one I purchased. He never made a video install on it but showed it in one of his videos when he was giving the review on his sound system for his tt. I wrote to him but I guess he isn’t making any more videos. Any help will be appreciated
Hey man thanks for the support it's much appreciated!!! I am pretty sure it will but you can send me a pic of your set up to my IG and I can look at if for you. Mine was a side button as well though. The other shift knobs I am not sure about but on the bfi website you can customize their knobs just about anyway you'd like. Hope this helps 😎😎😎

DO NOT REMOVE THE ALUMINIUM TRIM, there's no reason to do that. you can lift off the shift knob boot/leather with any flat object, you could probably even pull it off by tugging on the leather. from there you can change your shift knob very easily. i also removed the metal zip tie with a picking tool, but a side cutter would probably make the job easier

Yeah man all is well over here I hope you're staying safe during all this covid stuff. Welcome to the TT family!!! That's an easy fix in your DIS menu go to set and click the speed warning. I really want to do an exhaust mod on my TT. In your opinion what do you think would be best for a TT.
I agree the tt is a great car but the exhaust note does not match its personality. I'm actually working on an exhaust myself so definitely stay tuned to the channel!!! The best option IMO if money isnt an issue would be the armytrix setup. Being able to open and close the valves is a nice addition to any exhaust. Keep in mind you may need to change your rear diffuser to get the quad exhaust to fit.
Mega4k Vlogz Yeah i was just thinking in doing a straight pipe but at the same time dont want too because im not sure if im going to like it or not so im just looking for a better choice. I also installed a diverter valve on my car and it sounds cool in my opinion and i recommend you to look into them .
I have seen the diverter valve from forge. Not sure if that's the one you got? Straight piping is always an option as well. I will be doing mine towards the end of this month. I will be filming the whole process and doing before and after clips. Hopefully it will help you out with your decision.
