Hi, thank you for watching! It really varies, but usually Astrophytum will start to flower on their second year.

Thank you for watching! Most of the cactus needs another specimen since they are self sterile.

Can a cactus pollinate itself? As in lalagay mo yung male part sa female part ng same plant?

Thank you for watching! There are some cactus na kaya mag-self pollinate lang Frailea, Ferocactus, Melocactus, and others. Pero for Astrophytum, most Gymnocalyciums po, they need a pollen donor

Thank you very much for watching!🙂 Once the fruits is pink or ripe, you could pick the seedpod. Open the seedpod then collect the seeds, I use strainer then put it under a running water to remove the sugar. I’ll make a video of it soon. Thank you
