"Good Times Bad Times" is a song by Led Zeppelin that appears on their first album, released in 1969.　I think this is a song full of confidence in their amazing riffs.

When I actually played this song, it turned out to be much more difficult than I had expected.
The bass was especially difficult. I'm not a bass player, so I struggled quite a bit to play this.
I later learned that the riff of this song is very difficult, as can be seen from the comments of John Paul Jones, who played it.
He said of the song's riff, "It's one of the most difficult songs we ever written."
Apparently they rarely played this song live. I don't know why, but they used to play this song as the first song when they played a one-night show a few years ago.
I decided to do this song without knowing that.
The most difficult part for me was the bass playing in the background of the guitar solo. This part was particularly difficult.
It was like testing the durability of my fingers. lol
At that time, Jimmy Page was using a Telecaster, so I used one as well. Also, on this album, Jimmy Page seems to be mainly using a Supro guitar amp, so I tried to reproduce that using the Fractal AxFX2XL.
Another thing to note is that Jimmy Page uses a Leslie speaker on the lead guitar for this song.
It's a distinctive sound, and I tried to get close to it by using a Leslie speaker simulator released by UAD.
Also, the ending solo of this song seems to use a slide guitar for a small portion, so I'm also trying to use a slide guitar to make it sound like the original.
Other than that, I also tried volume playing techniques.
As usual, I filmed and recorded this performance live using multiple cameras.
Drums are too difficult for me. It's 200% impossible for me to play the drums for this song, so this time I'm using programming to recreate the drums.
Anyway, I'm very happy that I was able to get this done.

今回は、アメリカ人の友人であるStuとレッドツェッペリンから"Good Times Bad Times"をやってみました。
ご存じの通り、1969年に発売された彼らの衝撃的なファーストの一曲目です。
これは、彼らの素晴らしいリフへの自信に溢れた曲であると思いますね。
この曲に関しては、はじめうちの奥さんで仮録りしてみたんですが、うまくいかず、Stuは以前ZEPの「移民の歌」を歌ってくれてますので、それでStuに歌ってほしいなと思ったので、彼に依頼しました。Stuは思った通りのボーカルとコーラスワークでうたってくれたなと思っています。

この曲は、実際に演奏みて、私が考えていたよりもはるかに難しい曲でした。
特に、ベースがむつかしかったです。私はベーシストではないので、これを演奏するのにかなり格闘しました。
後で知ったことなんですが、この曲のリフがとてもむつかしいことは、これを演奏したジョンポールJonesのコメントからもうかがい知ることができるんですよね。
彼は、この曲のリフについて、「自分が書いた曲の中でもっとも難しいものの一つだ」と述べてますし、
私は、それを知らずに、この曲をやることにしてしまったのでした。
私にとって一番むつかしかったのは、ギターソロのバックグラウンドで演奏されているベース演奏です。この部分は、特に難しかったです。

で、ギター関連ですが、この当時、ジミーペイジは、Telecasterを使っていたので、私もそれを使いました。
また、このアルバムでは、ジミーペイジは、主にスプロのギターアンプをつかっているようなので、私も、 Fractal AxeFX2XLを使って、それを再現してみました。
それ以外で書いておくべきことは、この曲のリードギターで、ジミーペイジは、レズリースピーカーを用いていることですね。
それは特徴のある音であり、私は、それに近づけようとUADから発売されているレズリースピーカーのシミュレーターを使った。
また、この曲のエンディングのソロでは、ほんの一部、スライドギターが使われているようなので、わたしもスライドギターを使って、オリジナル様な音が出るように挑戦しています。後、ヴォリューム奏法もやっておきました。
尚、私は、この演奏をいつも通り、複数のカメラによるライブ収録で撮影＆録音しました。
とにかく、これをやり遂げることが出来てとてもうれしいです。
