people have made 900hp on stock block on f20c and kings performance s2000 made 1200hp on stock cams at 12.000 rpm. s2000 motor is the best 4 cylinder engine in the world.
+sameer jura yeah you have to remember this 700 horse build on low psi was in 2008 and 2009 bro lol. 6 years of tech is a ton of advancements. He ran 701 wheel on low boost below 18, ramped it to 18, and to 23 in this video, he probably pushed the car close to high 700s early 800s at 23 psi
This is a 701hp car, it is fast and it is a Honda, there is no reason to talk shit on it, if it did not bare the Honda badge on it and was any other car with 701, there would be not shit talking, so basically from what I can tell everyone saying it sucks because it's a Honda either drives a muscle car and is pissed because they know it's faster and has more power, or is a 13 year old who saw read on the Internet that Hondas were bad, unfactually
This video will always be ingrained in my soul. This video is the first think I think about any time I hear, or see anything about an S2K, this video plays in my head clear as day. I wonder, where is this legend of a car at now?
Looks like the only thing that could really keep u was the 350Z. As a turbocharged 350Z owner myself, this makes me smile. Back to the Honda, I've always felt that the only thing needed to make the S2000 super awesome was a turbocharging kit and this guy proves it. Well done and super sick car. I know he is kind of going with the sleeper look but I think a car that sick needs some nice wheels.
Won't be one. I knew of Jeff from the local car scene. Not long after this vid, he totaled the car while racing a turbo bike on a long bridge. Thankfully he walked away, car was nothing but pieces. He started to rebuild it but then parted it out, said it was just too scary for him. Can't blame him.
you guys sure are butt hurt for a simple comment. I said any stock motor switched to Turbo. I have never worked on or been in a S2000 they just dont exist in my area. But i have seen plenty of people put boost to average motors and blow shit up.
the 600 was hanging and the 1000 backed off after after it had a huge lead...don't know why they put them in the vid as the car "leaving them behind/cant hang"
Love it when muscle car lovers come on import clips and talk shit.. why do you even bother to look at the clip if its a shitty import? cause you are secretly inlove with them. haha.
by far the best honda ive ever seen on youtube in my life n believe me i watch youtube more than my own TV not cuz imma geek or anything but becuz im always looking for real shit n i now discovered that this beast is the realiest thing out there i luv it bro very nicely done !!
Personally think they did an awesome job on this for a homemade video. Music compliments well, cool editing, etc. This has me thinking about a turbo S2k as my next build...
Turbocharging an NA engine which is designed to be NA from the groundup, imho is not possible without major modification to the cooling system, lubrication, and to the compression ratio. I clearly doubt it is a bone stock engine.
fstylezkrNNN You definitely have no idea about the basic differences between NA and and turbo- or mechanical charged engines. One is the compression ratio. Google for it. Let me show you one consequence when you try to turbocharge an NA petrol engine: fbcdn-sphotos-d-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/t1.0-9/p350x350/10003146_10152251935009210_398446408_n.jpg
i know about n/a / turbo. maybe you should work on a honda an see for yourself they love boost an handle big power on stock blocks. airhead know it all ;)
fstylezkrNNN You should be quite experienced in this area. Please tell me how turbocharging affects brake systems on cars that are designed to be NA petrol from the groundup ?
have you never heard of upgrading brakes? an suspension before or what if your gunna bolt on extra power you clearly do other mods aswell. its gone from hondas are amazing from boost to every N/A car lol. when im just stating hondas alone love being boosted
Agreed, the internals, head, and bottom end where all built to withstand high RPMs. Just so happens they built one damn strong head and forged internals. Obviously the compression isn't optimal for boost but it is fine. To go beyond 700whp with an F series achieving better compression with internals and a built head and bottom end are certainly preferred.
In a sleepy little town lies in wait, a sleeper. Barren branches scratching at the grey skies, mom making apple pie slips out the back to harvest the wails and whines like trophies on the wallof noise. S2 and the benevolent one...open the door!
Amazing @ the amount of hate here. Its a damn shame some of these so called "car enthusiast" cant appreciate what someone has done just because they're eyes are bigger than their brains. Major props for what you did & achieved sir! Def a beast & somethin to be remembered.
npharkes The pistons, crank, and connecting rods are forged from the factory. The head gasket might blow soon but replacing it is not really changing the internals of the engine.
+npharkes Locally we ran a 600whp setup on a stock internals k20z3 which I believe is a similar compression ratio for 2 years before the headgasket let go
+Tyler OS Not so much about the head gasket. 11:1 is a pretty high compression ratio already so adding 20psi boost on top of that would give huge problems with knock unless you run some very serious octane fuel. On my 10:1 engine I can only, run 16psi on 97RON/~91AKI fuel.
T1 Race development did the build they use to be couple minutes from my house now he has a Monster shop building Gtrs Audi Lamborghini Big 💰 Tony Palo but the Fab guy was Michael he moved to Saudi Arabia great man.
From factory, honda doesn't wanna allow more hp out of the car. But if they did it wouldn't come with 240 hp from the factory, it would of came out with atleast 350 hp. Honda limited the horsepower from the factory. The s2000's engines is more capable then honda's racing f1 cars engine. Honda made the s2k for their 50th year and a street car for their first ever f1 racing car. The s2k is basically a f1 car but for the streets. The stock bottom end is way more powerful then yall think. With the right tuning and knowledge, the s2k's engine is more then capable then just making 600 hp. The honda s2000 ap2's engine is the strongest 2 liter car ever made.
These days you can never tell if the GT-R are stock or not because a lot of performance shops are offering these special packages. But i'd love to see that race though
Yes, many cars do. Mitsubishi cars have MIVEC, BMW has their VANOS system, Subaru uses AVCS, etc. the list goes on. You just don't hear about it as much as vtec. And if you drive a proper car with vtec, like a s2k or nsx, you can actually make use of it and it does give a little push at the end of the rev range.
npharkes switching oem headgasket for a 3mm headgasket would lower comp ratio to b able too boost like n9athan side block comes with forged internals so these motors can tk a good amounts of psi
There always has to be arguments on these types of videos. I am huge American car guy and love torque. But it's hard to beat a car that revs so high and can make so much power out of a small stock engine. Props.
That's a great idea, put short dump pipe on an RPM determined system.....A plain full "big pipe" system out the back & once it clears say 6K switch over to the short dump....Around town it would sound all cool & undercover till it clears the 6K. Just make sure your full length system will handle "up to" 6K & not be loading down the turbo before the switchover.
So high power big turbo s2ks produce heat trough te center console? I had a Fd with a t78 single turbo conversion and I powder coated and heat wrapped my down pipe and it would still make my ass sweat inside and my leg would get very warm.
Just from the look of the headlights, the bike went into ABS or slamed on that last bit. See how it shutters about the last 2 sec of the vid. I think he crashed it, wat do you think.........?
Definitely a fast ass car! The race against the 600 was actually pretty good. The race against the 1000 however was not so good. The rider appeared to be sitting in an upright position the whole time. I also believe the results might have been slightly different if the rider was a gear lower for acceleration, assuming he was in 3rd. Still, props to the car and good video.
n9athan Trust me, I know this from experience. I used to ride the shit out of my r6 but this zx10.. not so much. It'll take more getting used to than I thought. I might end up being one of those, "I'd rather have a 600" guys.
Yeah, I definitely miss first girl redline at 65mph with high ass rpms vs my zx10 redlining at 100mph first gear but I will definitely try to stay safe cause the fun is nonstop.
Hell, I just want to get my s2k to about 450 on the stock block. Nice. Questions, how reliable as a daily driver is it or is it just for fun? All my research shows 400s is a safe bet for a daily driver. Would love to learn some of your build. I for sure as hell don't need 700.. Just a spirited get me to work mobile is all..lol
I really love this car but don't really know if the motor is all stock pushing 23psi but I haven't really studied on the s2k but it really is a brilliant car I absolutely love it man I hope to buy one and build one soon
Nice car, nice vid. Only 1 question... How long did this thing last with said setup? Seems like a suicide run until you're ready to build a lower CR motor...
ever heard of an electric cut out? He probably has a switch that has it dump out there when he wants, or flicks a switch and it's a normal ass exhaust. Heck some turbo guys just run straight up open downpipe for the extra power. It's not super loud like an open DP NA motor either, as a turbo plays a part in muffling the noise.
discovered this video a couple years ago...everytime i watch it, the new york and eastesrn people love to argue wit the southeast of the map about our knowledge on this
This video gives me nostalgia. I remember seeing this video when I was young and I just remember the fender exit being so damn cool
people have made 900hp on stock block on f20c and kings performance s2000 made 1200hp on stock cams at 12.000 rpm. s2000 motor is the best 4 cylinder engine in the world.
So true
+sameer jura yeah you have to remember this 700 horse build on low psi was in 2008 and 2009 bro lol. 6 years of tech is a ton of advancements. He ran 701 wheel on low boost below 18, ramped it to 18, and to 23 in this video, he probably pushed the car close to high 700s early 800s at 23 psi
+rfofmiscellania If you read the OP he states that at 23psi the car was making roughly 600whp.. No where in this video the car was at 701whp
no shiit. a 4cyl making about 1000hp isn't going to be reliable.
I think the 4G63 would have something to say about that... seeing as how the 4G63 has done a 6 second 1/4 mile already.
This is a 701hp car, it is fast and it is a Honda, there is no reason to talk shit on it, if it did not bare the Honda badge on it and was any other car with 701, there would be not shit talking, so basically from what I can tell everyone saying it sucks because it's a Honda either drives a muscle car and is pissed because they know it's faster and has more power, or is a 13 year old who saw read on the Internet that Hondas were bad, unfactually
let the haters talk :-)
this car is a beast ❤️honda👍
At the end of the day, whos gonna pull more bitches, my Comp Orange Mustang or a shitty looking Honda?
this is a matter of taste.
thicker your mustang can only use on a straight track.
on a race track, you can not use it.
***** actually a 2jz can push 700+ easy on stock internals but you are true about needing more fuel psi spark & engine management
***** or you just don't know shit about Hondas....
2016 this shit never gets old
Damian Maron Still going strong in 2017 LOL!!!!
Remembering one of the best turbo S2k videos in 2018
ikr
Here in 2024 now and this would still be considered a beast of a car
Remember watching this when I was younger. Still sends thrills today. What happen to this car?
Probably still driving since its a honda
It went into a wall at 150mph. Rebuilt and sold
I came to see it again . I use to watch the vidio Dayly when if first came out.
Glad to see this was all filmed in Mexico and 100% computer generated!!
Im the guy that said "oh my god" at the beginning. the car owner was Jeff Straka out of Shreveport, LA. The car was built by Tony Palo out of T1 in TX
Yea? What's your first name then?
This video will always be ingrained in my soul. This video is the first think I think about any time I hear, or see anything about an S2K, this video plays in my head clear as day.
I wonder, where is this legend of a car at now?

S2000 was on 8 PSI vs the 350z... He was at 22 PSI vs the gsxr 1000. That's like a 300 WHP difference.
350z. lol
vid always makes me :) never gets old!awsome
I've been waiting for Part 2 forever
Won't be one. I knew of Jeff from the local car scene. Not long after this vid, he totaled the car while racing a turbo bike on a long bridge. Thankfully he walked away, car was nothing but pieces. He started to rebuild it but then parted it out, said it was just too scary for him. Can't blame him.
So glad this video is still around.
that truck with the ricer flyby at 2:47 tho
A Motorolla Razr recorded these videos.....
hard to believe a stock internal any motor can handle that much additional power
must not know honda engines then
i have fixed plenty of hondas that broke with out boost.
SRT480 If you do then you should know s2k's have forged internals.
you guys sure are butt hurt for a simple comment. I said any stock motor switched to Turbo. I have never worked on or been in a S2000 they just dont exist in my area.
But i have seen plenty of people put boost to average motors and blow shit up.
SRT480 Not butt hurt, I simply stated they have forged internals they can handle 500whp stock no problem man.
Old but Gold, celebrating this video since a Long Time.
Upload with no music
The GSXR definitely backed off.
the 600 was hanging and the 1000 backed off after after it had a huge lead...don't know why they put them in the vid as the car "leaving them behind/cant hang"
OWH MI GAHHD
15 years later and still hits hard. Kutsuju in the house
💯
Love it when muscle car lovers come on import clips and talk shit.. why do you even bother to look at the clip if its a shitty import? cause you are secretly inlove with them. haha.
its 2014 now and part 2 still hasnt came out yet i guess this s2k crashed and went back to hell :P
Jacky Wu nooo he sold it
Haha
leave it to honda to make an engine capable of 700rwhp, but only 450tq lol
by far the best honda ive ever seen on youtube in my life n believe me i watch youtube more than my own TV not cuz imma geek or anything but becuz im always looking for real shit n i now discovered that this beast is the realiest thing out there i luv it bro very nicely done !!
R.i.p. by now lol.
Awwwww that things cute..
HAHAHA!!! :-)
Usually comments like these are a band-aid for intimidation.
Makandala Kya Bayaka facts

Still
Watching this in 2017 lol
DUNK CANNON 2018 lol
2023
Personally think they did an awesome job on this for a homemade video. Music compliments well, cool editing, etc. This has me thinking about a turbo S2k as my next build...
Honda and Chevy are the best fuck the rest period
In the end its still just a honda
A Zonda Honda...
Michelangelo Hamato Did you seriously just compare a Pagani to a Honda?
Se7enAte shhh...
Obvious troll is obvious.
yeah, and thats awesome! :D
Turbocharging an NA engine which is designed to be NA from the groundup, imho is not possible without major modification to the cooling system, lubrication, and to the compression ratio. I clearly doubt it is a bone stock engine.
lol then you dont know Honda who were the Kings of the turbo Era in the 80s for F1 Honda's Love Boost. even on stock blocks ;)
fstylezkrNNN

Bro, sick!!! This video never gets old!!!
This video was one of the main reasons on why i love hondas so much.
Hell yea!
Still waiting for the part 2, 12 years on. Maby Jeff should have done a k-swap 😜
I think it was crashed rebuilt then sold bro🥲
It's 2015 and this shit never gets old.
This video is such a classic!
Wow remember 8 years ago watching this and than buy an s2000 few days later ! This guys a legend
AAAAAW shit Son! nothing but respect here and this is coming from michigan! Love the s2k
- Keep killing it man!
that turbo piping is a work of art, looks beautiful I'll give you that
Those s2000's built different just ferocious
💪
Been waiting years and years for a part 2
Won't be one. I knew of Jeff from the local car scene. Not long after this vid, he totaled the car while racing a turbo bike on a long bridge. Thankfully he walked away, car was nothing but pieces. He started to rebuild it but then parted it out, said it was just too scary for him. Can't blame him.
takes me back to the days when the AMS evo was the first evo to break 1000 hp. these were the days.
Still waiting for part 2 in 2021
Ayye 808s and Heartbreak. Props my dude

Still my favorite video on ytube after all these years
car is sick! Really interested in knowing the setup. Is that a custom or a full race setup?
2021 still good to watch
Forever a classic
🙏
Idk whats more impressive, the stock block pushing that much power
or the amount of angst in this video🤔
In a sleepy little town lies in wait, a sleeper. Barren branches scratching at the grey skies, mom making apple pie slips out the back to harvest the wails and whines like trophies on the wallof noise. S2 and the benevolent one...open the door!

Where is this thing now?🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
We don't know, it ended up trading hands a few times I think
Legendary always🙌🏾🔥@@DyNomadMobileTuning
It's been 5 years. Where's part 2?
I remember searching up this video back when I was young, I was so into cars back then really wanted to get one of these and I still do 2:01 That part
Good one Jacob one of the best Tuned cars ever
1:16, I love that little hum before the ignition cut!
Not possible to run +20psi on a 11:1 compression ration engine. Pistons/head gasket must have been changed.
npharkes The pistons, crank, and connecting rods are forged from the factory. The head gasket might blow soon but replacing it is not really changing the internals of the engine.

npharkes old post but what ever lol 110 race gas you can boost what ever u want
Interesting setup! Is the engine still running until now with that much power?
T1 Race development did the build they use to be couple minutes from my house now he has a Monster shop building Gtrs Audi Lamborghini Big 💰 Tony Palo but the Fab guy was Michael he moved to Saudi Arabia great man.
Is it stil running? Can't believe I will hold up for more than a few vids like this one.
been waiting for part 2 since 2009... im guessing he blew it up already...
he did 2 months later
you can say what ever you want but a vtec engine with a turbo kicks ass!
That S2k is a monster. I’ve gotta ask has the compression not been changed what so ever bearing in mind it’s gone from a Na-t .. gorgeous car
Hard to believe this is already 10 years old.
full on race exhausts often come out the side because its a shorter distance from the engine to a side than to the rear, thus restricting airflow less
Still here in 2020 enjoying this s2k!
whens the next video?

Yeah forged internals fersure.
i still love this video
dont worry about this haters. You all ready prove them wrong!! Just becareful when ur racing.God bless you bro. Hope fully we can race one day
These days you can never tell if the GT-R are stock or not because a lot of performance shops are offering these special packages. But i'd love to see that race though
complimenti!! splendida elaborazione, motore honda s2000 nasce per essere elaborato. un saluto da monza (italy)
What was beside the 350 at 1:45? Looks like it smoked both cars!!
9 second Civic.. We laughed about that particular clip for a long time as we also never noticed it when editing.
I love how in the beginning the intensity slowly builds with this cool music and sweet shots....and then they show a dodge neon ahahahah
Back in the day.. good times 👍🏾

Its a famous line from a movie, and this car has a lot more charachter than a small block.
The flame on the motor cycle… priceless
🔥

is this powered by hail and brimstone?
2024 and i still visit this video to see real honda power ✊🏽
💯
Nice to see this "old" technology!
Sounds like heaven 😍😍😍😍
im in loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee thats a beauty ! whens part 2 coming out?
We need S2000 From Hell-Part 2 !!
That's a great idea, put short dump pipe on an RPM determined system.....A plain full "big pipe" system out the back & once it clears say 6K switch over to the short dump....Around town it would sound all cool & undercover till it clears the 6K. It's dead and never coming back again
Just from the look of the headlights, the bike went into ABS or slamed on that last bit. See how it shutters about the last 2 sec of the vid. I think he crashed it, wat do you think.........?

DreadHeadDecarlo Yeah but a liter bike is much harder to ride fast, most riders can't push a liter bike to it's limit; a 600 is much more accessible.
n9athan Trust me, I know this from experience. I used to ride the shit out of my r6 but this zx10.. not so much. It'll take more getting used to than I thought. I might end up being one of those, "I'd rather have a 600" guys.
DreadHeadDecarlo Yeah hshs, you can have more fun at low speeds with a 600 and feel "in control". Have fun and stay safe.
Yeah, I definitely miss first girl redline at 65mph with high ass rpms vs my zx10 redlining at 100mph first gear but I will definitely try to stay safe cause the fun is nonstop.

holy shit that is one badass S2K!!! props to the builder(s)!
We're is this car today and or the owner, was this a one off video or are there more?
+chris Jordan Supposedly the car was wrecked a few years back and turned into a drag car iirc on s2ki
0:07 "Oh my god" yep i would say that either
still waiting on part 2
