  • At the north end of Eleuthera, you'll find Preacher's Cave, where the first settlers from Bermuda washed up in 1648, after their ship wrecked on the nearby reef. It's not a deep cave, but its huge entrance creates a cathedral-like atmosphere, and the bees and their honeycombs that dot the walls are beautiful Bonus hack: The beach that's a two-minute walk away!

My parents used to live in Rainbow Bay on Wandering Shore drive. They are no longer alive, but they spent about 12 years living there. The island is beautiful with so many pristine beaches. The people are laid-back and friendly. I really enjoyed my time there and would like to go back because it’s been 20+ years.
Shout out to Monica Thompson. You can buy her wonderful pineapple tarts at her store in Gregory Town.
And when eating out make sure and try the conch fritters.
