The CTB26 is hands down their best offering in my opinion, especially if you carry a lot of tech. It also carries over to light one bag travel use incredibly well. It takes everything about the CPL and makes it better, and then adds dual bottle pockets for good measure.
I kinda wish the CPL 24 had a water bottle pocket like the able carry max. If you're going to keep the bottle in the bag and take up space, I'd love to have it easily accessible from the side and concealed while still looking sleek.
Evergoods bags are the best. I love my CTB26 for travel and MPL22 for hiking/grab and go. The CPL16 is super enticing as an EDC bag but I'm one of those water bottle pockets people so I'll just wait for an even smaller version of the CTB 👀
Ctb 26 is fantastic. I use it for edc and works well as a personal item on international flights too and complements a rolling cabin luggage well. Thinking about picking up the smaller mpl in ecopac *and quite possibly the td35
I wish I wasn’t in the group of people that evergoods bags are uncomfortable for. I love my cap2’s and I’ve had so many of their backpacks and always had to sell them because of how uncomfortable they are.
I have a 2021 Evergoods CHZ 26L. It's a great backpack that I've used for one bag travel on multiple four day trips. It's also excellent for kicking around town and going to coffee shops or taking some photo gear for street photography. The bag is not suited for hiking even though it has a chase for a hydration tube. The back panel does not do a good job of ventilation. Maybe they have fixed that in newer packs, but older ones are not good for hiking. Also, if you check out reviews from the years ago it was pointed out that the fabric is a lint and/or people's and pet hair magnet. That is a fact. I have to lint brush my bag at least once a day. My understanding is the new fabric in current bags has resolved the pet hair problem.
I don't need the external water bottle pockets, but I am liking the extra quick access pocket on the CTB26,would it be greatly missed by going with the cpl24 instead? I also understand that the extra 2L in the CTB are really due to those water bottle pockets, is that true?
The CTB26 is closer in size to the CTB28 in practice - I don't think you'd go wrong with either! The CPL24 is definitely a bit more streamlined without the bottle pockets if that's your preference.
The CTB26 is quite a bit deeper than the CPL24. For me not ideal as EDC but great for travel with its greater main compartment volume due to that extra depth.
Awesome job on comparing all the Evergoods bags, really can’t go wrong with any one you choose. But can anyone tell me which Tom Bihn bag (grey with brown accents) that is on the far left of the middle aisle 😅
I'm 5'3'' and I am considering whether I should get a CPL 16 or 24, for everyday use and some sporadic travel. I'm worried that the 24 would be uncomfortable and bulky for me, as I also have a short torso. Anyone in the same boat who tried both/either?
all those stretchy materials in Evergoods Bags are like the weak links, man. They make the bags kinda disposable, 'cause when they wear out, there's no fixin' 'em.
Well, it depends on the stretch fabric. Not all stretch fabrics are considered equal. And lots fail and pill. But EGs is top shelf and will last. If not, they always stand by their products and have a great warranty. 😉
Definitely try lowering the playback speed, or maybe turning on closed captioning. We try and talk as naturally as possible, but sometimes we get carried away!
You are so knowledgeable, but you speak so quickly that it is hard to follow what you have to say. Would you consider speaking more slowly in future videos?

Good idea showing the bag description tag. Thanks.

Who makes the bottle opener?
CTB26 Phoenix II

Synik 22 Guides Edition!

For an everyday pack, definitely get the 16L. It should work for short travel too. The 24L will be a better option for longer jaunts.
Depends on what you carry? 🤷♂️

You can adjust the playback speed in the video settings. You might like the .75x playback speed
