That could be, or could just be caused by Nick's from fingernails starting the process of the paint peeling. Hopefully, the new buttons will last as long as the car.
Or you can just put a short screw right into the middle of the old button, and pull the old button out with pliers without having to mar the inside edges of button panel.
@@waypoint12xl nice! Great suggestion. I would have normally used a plastic trim removal tool, but was a few thousand miles from home when I did the video, and had to use what I had.
