I happen disagree that Bayonetta objectifies women. I don't really know if my opinion matters cause I'm a gay guy but whatever. I think that she will never bend down to any man. She's a bad ass and the perfect picture for guuuuurl powah in video games.
Idk why people call Bayonetta objectify woman when i only see that she is a perfect example of modern female ideal of feminism. A woman full of confidence, strong, sexy, confidently shows her beauty but does not let others put her down, does not need others to save her.
Objectify by definition is treating something as a passive object to be used to your liking. Bayo is THE LAST woman on earth you can use to your liking. It's never about sexiness. Objectification is about robbing of power, and Bayonetta is the antithesis of being powerless.
Every game now needs a huge dance number at the end. I don't care what style of game it is, they ALL. NEED. ONE. This kind of reminds me of the ending to Zatoichi.
It's funny - before I got the game I kept listening to this track from the demo, and I was always thinking, as I listened: "I can just picture Bayonetta doing some big elaborate dance number to this song" - later on I finish the game and see this! Not only that, but it's about ten times more awesome than the one I had pictured! Amazing game, from start to finish. I'm already half-way through my second playthrough and still loving it!
The whole ending sequence and credits puts a big smile on my face. Thanks for the game, haven't had so much fun in a single player game ever since god hand.
It is rare that a video game comes along that is so cheeky in its presentation yet comes with enough developmental confidence to pull it off. Bayonetta is such a damned special game for so many reasons it hurts. :)
Fun fact: Bayonetta's entire character design is literally Hideki Kamiya's perfect woman. That's exactly what she was conceived as and pretty much all the aspects of her design were 'insisted' upon by Kamiya. The glasses, the long slender legs, the hair, everything. This is basically his wet dream as a video game.
lol This was one of those games were the game never gives up, there is no rest for the weary, there is no time to relax, you just start playing harder, and harder, thinking that if you quit you will lose skill, but you start getting frustrated, and you start losing skill, until you calm down, beat the endurance test, and when you beat that final boss, you have ascended to the top of gaming and joy overcomes your mind, and to top it off, you get to see this ridiculous dance!

She told me how she hated how women portrayed in video games, like Miranda in Mass Effect 2. I then said "Oh, then you must really hate Bayonetta." She then laughed and said, "Hell No, she is probably one of my favorites." Me: "...what?"
What could be any better than Bayo dancing, I wonder? Oh, wait - what if Bayo changed costumes for every scene??? Like Umbra for that line of Witches, Nun for the Joys, Old for the catacombs with Rodin, D'Arc for Jeanne on the Valykrie, PE Teacher for the start, Swimsuit for Luka at the Training Grounds (he's always jizzing in his pants when he sees her!!!), etc.
@TearsOfTheSky As someone with the legs to pull off some of the stuff she does, let me tell you, even with legs like that, some of those moves are really REALLY hard on the knees, it can be done, yes, but it'd take a lot of practice due to not only the angles of joints and balance but also the speed at which the dance is done. Biggest issue is knee/ankle strength. That being said, I am working on getting those moves down just because I like the style.
out of most of the female game heroins Bayonetta is the only one that I've seen that dances, kicks a** and is classy all at once( and at a glance she looks like palin, coincidence of course). She totally trumps gamings legendary heroin Lara Croft....Kudos to BAYONETTA

I've never played the game, but after reading all of the reviews I am considering it. Watching these trailers, this game looks like fun to me.
