So I just really only saw something substantial about this series last night when I stumbled into a video of the Baal Zabul boss in Bayonetta 3. I’ve never been so enchanted by a scene in anything in a very long time. Frog siren dressed as a victorian doll singing like the Fifth Element diva? Battle to save a harlequin thief riding a giant dog dragon robot mosquitos? Skeletons waving fucking glowsticks to the rhythm?! Absolute gobsmacked me, zero criticism.

I think it’s because they can trigger any time in game, so the audio files are originally isolated. During the main games the quotes play during a cutscene, so there are other sound playing in the back.
