Put some new glow plugs in it. Makes a World of difference. When I first got mine, it took three long cranks before it would start. Put four new glow plugs in it a month later, it actually startled me when it jump to life immediately. As fast or faster than a 2022 new vehicle
My 2.2 Diesel starts immediately when cold, I agree with everyone else test or replace glow plugs .... now for the cracked firewall where clutch cable goes through

I have a few other cold starts saved on my phone that I could upload. And I'm just putting the throttle all the way down and holding it.
