@@susanaescriba977 Well in 2017 you were sweet. We had amazing staff at our hotel. So kind. We shopped Las Ramblas and enjoyed 2 amazing vegan restaurants - one was a raw one and wow!! So incredible. We self explored using the hop on hop off bus system. Saw the things everyone sees. very cool. Walked miles back to our hotel through gorgeous parkways, saw locals on balconies, resting in parks and so many bikes. Love how it is so walkable. Enjoyed Paella at a quaint little outdoor Cafe. Server was so kind & tolerated our uber limited Spanish which we tried to use often. We found some areas with gorgeous churches & little out of the way spots for tapas and drinks. We enjoyed an outdoor market & an indoor one. Again so many helpful people. Maybe it was due to it being so close to that horrible attack on Las Ramblas that the locals in and around that area were more appreciative. Anyways I cried when I left. So much more to see. We visited Germany, Italy, France, Austria, & Switzerland. Italy was the friendliest but Spain was close 2nd

In Spain, education is compulsory from the age of 6 to 16. But on the other hand, homeschooling is not explicitly prohibited because no intelligent person can believe that he or she will be able to instill all the necessary knowledge in his or her children, and if you don't have 6 or 8 hours a day free to do it, those are hours of work in the office, company, etc...
