14:18 - That’s not how electric motors work. Afiak, they’re rated for continuous and peak. 3.5kw/4kw is what it should be able to absorb, “continuously” which is meant to mean “absorb forever while shedding enough heat that stator winding enamel doesn’t burn and short.
I pump 10kw into a 1kw ebike hub motor (very similar to a EUC motor)
EUC’s aren’t motor temp constrained afiak (I’m new)
Key constraint to perf is the motor controller. Search EndlessSphere forum for insight into PEV brushless motor controller threads for what’s going on in this space. Everything said here holds true for all multiphase brushless motor control theorem (cars)

I thought I already suggested trying tire balancing beads in the tires to help keep the wobbles from appearing.
I think i like the character of the tyre that gives u more upright....its like my Pirelli Diablo tyre on my EX30...for cornering, not just leaning the body but i push the wheel with knee as well....😊

Nice one marty (and dawn) that wheel looks massive when dawn mounts it, also the fully extended selfie stick gave a great view to! As for the et max ..not very confidence inspiring .. let's hope the update sorted it .. I hope the recharge at the lodge saw you back to the truck OK? Maybe the drop in temperature effected the battery's somehow?
Firmware updates fixed the ET Max. Yeah, I got back without difficulties once I recharged it.

So 100/90-14 Maxxis is too much tire and C40 may be too much motor (thirsty). I am getting the impression a 80/90-14 tire with a C38 may be the sweet spot for Mt Baldy runs.

Really debating between preordering the GT Pro or the ET Max. Think I'm leaning towards the GT Pro right now though. I really wanna see someone push the GT Pro as hard as it can go... is the 120 mph free spin a farce? Could someone actually get this wheel up to 65-75MPH GPS?
They both overreport a lot, the ET Max overreports as much as 15% so deduct that for real speed

@@RonnieRides Sure, but lets do the math then. According to AR and eWheels, they have the GT Pros no load speed at 124 mph, and the ET Max at 112 mph, pretty much the same. Lets be generous and take 20 mph off the top speed for rider weight (usually more like 8-14 mph). That puts these wheels at about 100 mph. Then take off the 15% as you mentioned, and that puts you at 85 mph.
Is it really possible to get these wheels to 85 mph GPS?? I find it hard to believe, but that's what the rough estimate math would say....
They both seem like great wheels. If either can actually maintain speeds of 55mph for 10-15 minute bursts, then I'll love whichever one I end up choosing. For us folks in rural areas who want to use our EUCs for legit travel, being able to hop on a 55mph road and hold it with headroom for a short amount of time is required.
@@soulfoam the no load speed is with field weakening, so those are purely fantasy numbers for marketing, so far I haven't seen anyone push these wheels past 55mph GPS
@@RonnieRides Yeah neither have I, so as it stands it seems like a marketing gimmick.
Dawn keeps repeating how much she hates the looks of the GT Pro but who da heck's gonna see the wheel as she whizzes by at 50mph 😆. BTW what tire is on it? & how can ewheels send you a wheel with a crappy & misaligned tire 🥴. I think your ET Max is protesting with tiltback cos you're too slow. It needs to be spanked like Dawn spanks the GT Pro 😁

Yes, she is riding the GT Pro from AlienRides and they ordered theirs with a different motor and tire.

@@ElectricUnicycles the one we have has a standard C38 motor. Ultimately it's going to have the C38T motor. Same as the ET Max

Dawn, I keep hearing you say negative 3 in this video. What exactly is that and what does that do for you?
"-3" means that the pedals are titled forward by 3° which helps a lot to accelerate faster on bigger wheels.

Personally I think the weight of these units is pushing it, and not in a good way. What is Dawn like 98 lbs if that,? Put a 210lbs guy on that unit and it won't zip as fast.
With all her gear she's probably in the 140's. Heavier wheels are coming and I'm all in. Get to the gym CJ
