@Marco not on facebook New bee is a hilarious guy. I wish he was my uncle or neighbor or something so I can hear it all live. his humor can be innocent enough for kids to be around and laugh at a certain aspect and then adults to get the further point and laugh at the other aspect that kids usually wouldn’t understand. It’s kind of like kids shows/movies from the 80’s and 90’s. where there was stuff thrown in for adults to laugh at while they were forced to watch kid stuff. It’s definitely more mature than that but that’s the only way I could think to describe it. Idk. Hard to explain, but he’s a riot. Definitely one of my favorite RUclipsrs.
I always liked this movie. it was a strange combination of things that even familiar elements had just a bit of a twist to them that set it apart from your typical movies. it was just something a little different
"It'll be much less terrifying if you just come to me".....love that voice and scene. I might be wrong but isn't Mick Jagger's brother one of the male vampires?
Good review New Bee! Lifeforce is one of my favorite movies, back in the 80s I would sneak the VHS tape from my dad's room to watch it. I was terrified of the zombies but it was worth it to see Mathilda May. I usually watch it at least once a week, while I am painting.
I used to want to follow Picard anywhere on any adventure... now I just want one blissful moment as he drains my Lifeforce. Your videos are a real treat!
The first time I saw this movie was on cable and I couldn't believe I'd never heard of it. Loved the special effects and Mathilda's uniform. Railsback is off the chain and the opening theme is very campy and B movie. I rate it four and a half giant umbrellas.
I don't recall ever hearing of or seeing this film. OMG for 1985 those zombie looking people were great and scary. Reminds of the work in Return of the Living Dead which i think was same year. Both films effects were better than anything any time recently.
I remember being so excited when this movie finally showed up in my local video store it was on VHS. Loved the shrivelled up vamps, and the strange twist on a love story.
Amen, on put down the Scooby snacks. Favorite Vampire movies. 1) Let the Right One In (2008) - Swedish with English caption 2) Interview with the Vampire (1994) 3) Dracula (1931) with Bela Lugosi 4) Nosferatu (1922) 5) Shadow of the Vampire (2000) 6) Hunger (1983) 7) Near Dark (1987) 8) Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992) 9) Love at First Bite (1979) 10) From Dusk Till Dawn (1996) 11) Once Bitten (1985) 12) Thirst (2009) Korean with English caption 13) Lifeforce (1985) 14) 30 Days of Night (2007) 15) Byzantium (2013)
2:14 He wouldn't be wearing that uniform for that sort of operation. He'd be wearing some sort of hazmat gear. 4:20 Berets aren't worn in combat or on guard duty. At least they're wearing their berets properly with the insignia over the left eye and the drape over the right ear. 4:40 Was that a reference to They Hunger 3: Rude Awakening? 5:18 "Whyyyyy do we hungerrrrr?"
True story: my mother took me to see this movie when I was six years old. I was so horrified we left and went to see DARYL where the kid is a lifelike robot taken in by an unsuspecting family.
I remember recording this because the tv review basically said "sci-fi vampire film". Boy was I pleasantly surprised! (And glad to be alone at the time!)
I would absolutely love to see a picture of the new bee in high school. That leather jacket long hair. Slaying chicks all day. Hopping out his van with a dungeons and dragons style wizard custom pint job and round bible window. You know the type.
Awesome review! I haven't looked it up yet... But I think the main character / astronaut who survived space girl originally and who goes after her is the actor who portrayed Dwayne Barry on the X-Files! Again I haven't looked it up but I'm pretty sure it's him...
They turn vegan Hahahahahahahaha!!! Seriously though. That is a dying breed. Man I’m binging your videos... love your reviews! Keep it up! Your short clicks of dry humor is superlative... Wow!!! 50! Looking good for 50! 11 days and I turn 43. I thought you were around my age.
So powerful were the bodies of these great creatures, and so fiercely did they cling to life, that they were impossible to kill, save by the use of bow ships. Energy weapons were useless because the monsters absorbed and transmuted the energy using it to become stronger. Therefore Rassilon ordered the construction of bow ships, swift vessels that fired a mighty bold of steel that transfixed the monsters through the heart. For only if his heart be utterly destroyed will a vampire die. Yet slain they all were, and to the last one, by the Lords of Time. The Lords of Time destroying them utterly. When the bodies were counted, the King Vampire, mightiest and most malevolent of all, had vanished, even to his shadow, from time and space. Hence it is the directive of Rassilon that any Time Lord who comes upon this enemy of our people and of all living things, shall use all his efforts to destroy him, even at the cost of his own life.
First of all thank you for doing one of my favorite movies you are beyond hilarious it was a lot of backstory to this movie that a lot of people don’t even know about you just made my day I got to come up with some more for you did you just want to guys with Joyce Heiser is a good start but thank you the newbie for making my day in Long Island ha ha ha ha
Fun fact the lead vamp lady was actually under age when they filmed this as she had lied about her age at the time which they didn't learn till almost a year later😶
Where did you hear/read this? I thought Matilda May was 18 when they started filming and had her 19th birthday on the day they filmed her bloody helicopter scene!
The correct pronunciation is Toh-Bee Hooper. 0:22 He's from Texas, YeeHaa! USA. Right? This film was rated R. Since you said you were in high school when you first saw it. You were too young 11:30 to get into the movie theater. Confess- confess, now!
@@theNewBee OK. Right! I vaguely remember that either Playboy or Hustler Magazine did a film "review" photo spread of Lifeforce with shots from the film. Mathilda May got a full page full frontal but not the centerfold. The scene with Spacegirl Vamp walking down the stairs was also printed but my favorite one was when she strolled down a busy London street in broad daylight naked. It's funny because the naughty bits of her body were creatively censored by strategically placed street scene objects as she walked on stunning everyone.
LMAO!!!! "MY GOD GIVE THIS MAN A SANDWICH AND A GATORADE STAT" HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! NEWBEE YOUR THE BEST!! CK out my channel i can use the support thanks!
Omg lol, "get him a sandwhich and gatorade stat"

Perfect review, please keep that humour rolling. This film was criminally underrated. Still a better love story than twilight.
I was in high school too when this masterpiece hit the theaters, and boy did this movie blow. As always, your review was hysterical! Love it!
I watched this movie with my parents... It was a huge mistake!! But I loved it... my mother strangely enjoyed it aswell???
Hahaha I watched this but not with the parents. My best friend and I watched it. Of course we weren’t supposed too.

You got my attention at “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2.” I assume there’s chili.
Doctor who reference? I'm here for it! (So happy I discovered your channel)
This film is a blast, absolute insanity from start to finish, great score, special effects and the delectable Mathilda May!

Oh holy shit I clicked this vid having no idea what it was and I just realized iv watched this movie before.

Lifeforce is one of the better movies that Cannon Group Films did.

I really loved this movie, until I've read the book. From there on the movie almost disgusts me :(
A good horror movie is a bunch of guys exploding and a parasite from space
