It amazes me that kids like me weren't walking around riddled with disease and parasites. I played in mud, rolled on the ground, splashed in puddles with bare feet. HOW DID I SURVIVE??
shit you too man? When I was a spry plague bearer, I stepped on a piece of wire in some septic water. Foot swelled like a balloon and drained for days, but no disinfecting or bandages, it's a wonder I didn't get septic shock or whatever.
No, the opening music from The Shining is a very very old piece of music used in many movies. So, they didnt rip it off but the movie was still pretty shit
No amount of beer could get me to calm down about the whole situation by 5:20. Nope. That’s a job for a ton of hard liquor. God, I wish I was a lightweight. Drinking is expensive for me.
I thought this film was pretty meh. Highest grossing, emphasis on "gross." I much prefer "The Cabin In The Woods," which is my favorite horror movie. But I also love "Happy Death Day." The humor just fits.
I wonder what that says about my sense of humor? Honestly, I can be really bad, very bawdy, but the majority of my jokes are corny puns, quips, and ones I've gotten from reading Archie Comics...since I could read. I've actually gotten some of my "best" comebacks from there. "Do you take me for an idiot?" "Sure, sounds like a fair trade."
@@MrTrombonebandgeek Off-hand, I'd almost say you're right, but some of the deaths are just a little bit bizarre enough that keep that "slasher" edge to it...I feel that in Thrillers the deaths are more realistic. But the dark comedy part is spot on.
His movies are extremely juvenile, like something written by a smart teen boy who loves horror movies. He just loves blood and boobies, not character development and story.
@@moonlily1 I mean sometimes thats all you really need. Not every movie needs good characters or a good story and not every movie needs to try to be good. Sometimes you really can paint a turd gold.
I’ve had a looong day and it’s Jan. 1, 2022. I’m 25, spending the holidays with a destructive family, and not attending daily therapy because they kicked me out for a minor fever (I’ll start going again next week. It’s going to freeze all this week, and we can’t handle that in San Antonio.) I just… I just REALLY want to look up necrotizing fasciitis pictures, but then if I vomit, I’ll throw up vodka and onion dip, and I think that combination might kill a man.
I found it kind of funny when the main character has flashbacks being with the blonde girl in idyllic moments then it rapidly flashes to her exposed teeth, accompanied by her "Don't leave me!!!" quote with follow-up shovel to the face sfx. Brilliant touch, Eli. That's how you "wrap up" an arc.
The shaving scene is the most disgusting thing I've ever seen. Beats any SAW trap, any Hostel torture, any Martyrs... Christ. Makes me writhe in pain every time.
The general store in this movie is owned by my family. I got off the school bus at the store as I always did and there was a film crew. I met the entire cast including Eli Roth. I was 6 years old at the time (24 almost 25 now) and my family was invited to the premier. Priddys General Store is the store in the film. Danbury, North Carolina.
This was the first horror movie I watched alone, I absolutely love this movie. No matter how much shit people give this movie, I think it's great. I forgot to add that this movie was the reason I used Nair/Veet for 5 years.
I swear it's so many directors especially Eli Roth underestimate the power of character development and subtlety. It's true people wanna see violence & sex. But if you want it to leave an impact we need to give a s*** about the characters
I think it’s hilarious when people complain about this movie for being too disturbing or for making them uncomfortable. Yeah, no shit, it’s a horror movie. That’s kind of the point.
I'm surprised you didn't bring up the PANCAAAKES!!! part lol This is one of those movies I loved as a kid and still love today. It has a special place in my heart.
I wondered when youd cover this movie! I hope you do all of the movies! They have traumatized me when I accidentally watched this thinking it was a different movie!
Dude, you have to review Sleepaway Camp. It’s soo disturbing with an ending that will stay with you for a while. Even though the movie was released in 1983, the ending will keep up with anything made ever since.
I know this movie is not very good, but I love it! I love how all the characters are blood thirsty sociopaths who will murder anyone at the first given opportunity. The comedy I think is easily the best part, especially the Bert scenes. As a horror movie it mostly fails, and Roth is definitely more of a director than a writer, but this ends up being so entertaining by the end that I can't help but love it!
Same! Don’t you realize that when you say “Don’t “ do something, all that does is make people want to do it more so…?? I still love you NewBee! Funnier than hell 😉
I would've add that post-coital clip of Marcy sitting on the bed telling Paul, "Jeez Paul, you really did a number on my back!", but dubbed over the audio with Eddie Murphy's line from Shrek, "Do I detect a hint of minty freshness?"
Nah bro, one more bee. We watched that movie a bunch when it came out. Hostel 1&2 were cool and green inferno was awesome. I grew up watching 70s cannibal films and he nailed the genre. One more 🐝!
Dang my dad had flesh eating bacteria in his leg. He got lucky though, he could've lost a leg. Maybe his life. Living pretty unhealthy is usually the cause, unless you're unlucky enough to get them whilst living healthy. He's lost a lot of tissue though. And after a year you can still see where they cut in his leg. Man, that was a dark time. But he and me and my feed family got very very lucky. And he was in a lot if pain because.. well.. your flesh is literally being eaten. If you know anyone with these bacteria, I'm so sorry. I'm praying for you
That ending with the old man and the rifle felt like a Scary Movie joke, it was pretty funny tho
The leg shaving scene gets to me everytime and you had to play it twice. Nice.
You could’ve skipped it you know..
@@christiandog3450 the point of the scene is to make you unsettled and uncomfortable, why would I skip it?
"She's making her own gravy(6:22)"😂😂😂
Yea and when I first saw that scene I was chewing on some bubblegum so it just left a real dirty taste in my mouth. nice
That bit is so annoying

@William Humphrey well vaccines prevent all that from happening.
I got cut with a tiny rusty blade when I was five and almost died 💀 tell me your secrets
Not that this is a contest but i ATE mud
This movie messed with me so much. Also, the remake was bad, and also, they ripped off the opening credit music from *The Shining* if you listen.
Holy shit, really?? That's so crap.
No, the opening music from The Shining is a very very old piece of music used in many movies. So, they didnt rip it off but the movie was still pretty shit
Are they ripping it off or are they paying homage though?

Cabin In The Woods is flat-out awesome.
Eli Roth has one sick imagination. His movies are barbaric whack.
