You actually don't need expensive materials. There are many art Supplies affordable out there. The only way is to practice and practice painting everyday:)

I am a beginner too.but so far it seems to me good paper matters more than the paint especially if working very wet like this one. I have blick premier that seems fairly close to arches. Also you can get but a few paint colors and mix them rather than ton.
