13:50 the bus pan link is currently in the multi view, bus setup. It's being added to Mancino in some upcoming update. 15:02 - you can send and pan different legs of a tereo channel independently on the HD96, too. You can choose which paramteres to link. You could even have different compression, EQ, gating, and inserts on left and right, so you could use one stereo fader to control a kick in, as well as a kick out mic, for example.
select a channel and source it from a bus in routing. use that channel as sidechain for other channels. yes you lose one channel count but until update comes. this is the hard way round. (topic of discussion: crowd into inears sidechained)
Totally agreed! Never put a glass of liquid in your mixer, I strongly recommend that too! I guess you’re not a true sound engineer if you do that, or at least, you’re not mixing on that in that console for sure!
so if i get it right you can actually use S16/32 or DL16/32 stage boxes with the HD96 native just using AES50? thats good info for someone who have some of those and want to move from X32/M32 and do not want to change every single thing at the same time
it will talk but you dont have HA controle. you need a Hub4 Pro or an other device to do Gainl newly released Hub4 Pro will allow you to run a HD96 or any other 96K midas with a 48K device.
Hi, I'm using all the time Bus into bus for my Drums. I want to have the maximum sound of my Drums on my Bus 1, so I send Reverb Bus for snare and toms to the Bus 1 where I send all my Drums tracks!!! I use mains 2 to 4 for musiciens returns and bus 8 for me. We are 4, it's pretty cool! Fred
You must consider that the wing is designed completely in Hannover, Germany. There are differences in the thinking of English or German engineers. It’s a matter of fact. Maybe it’s coming in the future for the hd96, that things are more convenient to control.
11:20 - When he says you can't send an Aux to the Main L/R mix, I believe he is wrong - at least with the current firmware versions. That being said, while both functions allow you to combine inputs together, auxes are designed as outputs and groups are designed for processing a group of channels in a mix. Therefore I don't understand why you would be wanting to change your aux/group counts during a show unless you really messed up your preshow file and didn't set things up correctly from the start.
Hi Brian this is Baba I agree with all your points, using auxes just for sending stuff out, configuring the mixrack before the show...lol. But I did doublecheck and indeed Auxes cannot be routed to main LR in dLive.
@@GuillaumeLortie So the 8 XLR Pre’s on the back of the Wing are quoted to be “Midas PRO” preamps. But which are they? The DL32 style pre’s? Or the DL251 Style pre’s? Just curious!
If you want to have volume control and select which sources do and don't go to the live stream, use a seperate main for that. If you need to get a completely different mix, use a bus (allthough at that point you probably want someone else to mix that seperatly from your PA mix).
You can setup a matrix of the main mix if you want a direct copy of the main mix, if you would like to have certian differences between the two mixes you can try an aux mix that is pre fader so that it wont affect the main mix, similar to a in ear mix
It's different. Everything else is focused on banks and banks of faders, whereas the Heritage doesn't have that, it's al about bringing pop groups, or VCAs ortags to your faders. You make groups of things you want to control, and jump to those groups. But the killer feature for me is the channel processing that's always right there on physical knobs, without having to go into any menu or screen or layout.

Nothing sounds as good as a Midas! The HD is a pro series on steroids and only keeps getting better worth every update👍🏻🤘🏻

I’ve used a lot of digital consoles over the years. The Wing is my favourite as far as user interface and layout so far.
Definitely a game changer, specially for the price
Very thank you guys for making this video..
Never, but never again, put a glass of liquid in your mixer. That is the number one mistake that a true sound engineer should never make in his life.

the deep sigh at the ls9 😂

The HD DAW looks like graphics from Windows 3.0
The GUI on the wing looks so much better
that cup on the Wing triggers me hard....very, very, very hard....
Please don't pour your "I love NY" coffee into your Wing🙃
Do you have a desk where you can lay your wing flat instead of the slope angle?
Hi 👋
I’ve build my road case is it sit in foam flat. Feels way better to me

@@carlosdiaz5486 after A/B testing with my DL251, seems like a they are blue preamps
great idea 👍
Can you connect wing to dl251?
Yes, that’s my setup
I'm trying to figure out how to send an aux mix from the Wing to Facebook/RUclips without altering house main mix.

So you put a coffee mug on top of a console? Wow.
Join me every Monday at 1:30 PM to see more mug for Live Q&A!
Heritage looks easier to use than the Wing interface.
After working with both consoles my opinion is that Wing is easier than the Heritage-D

Great video, but your video is kind of out of focus.
