    I feel ya on the 57, every time i try to change, I always end up going back to the 57 on the snare. It just sounds like a snare 😆

    Great Video Bro! This is the first videoI've seen that someone has done like this. You gave great insight of what it is like to do a show of that size. I felt like I was there with you. Keep up the content. Your mix was on point!

    The Wing is such a cool table. To bad you don't see them much in the wild..

    Thank you very much for another POV video 🙏🏿🤝🏿. Your FOH mix was slapping. Like the way the guitars are subtly panned which was opened so much space in the mix. Small change but huge result 👌🏿🔥

      Hi 👋
      I always pan my guitars when I ca to give me space for the vocal.
      There’s a sweet spot where you can’t really tell it’s Paned but it give place for the voice to fit.

    Just an awesome mix man.. I can respect that HUGE MIDRANGE.. some people boost the highs so much is freaking ear fatiguing after a while!!

    I really like the Wing but I use it more in my studio and use my Pro 1 for live. The both sound great but carrying the wing out of my studio is a pain. Can you say steps? I can keep the Pro 1 in my truck. I really like you videos. Thanks for sharing them.

    I would greatly appreciate some more Wing-education and expierienced opinion of how you approach those grouped compressions and plugin usage in a "what am i aiming for / what am i doing for that" style. I rarely go much further than fixing the stuff that is unpleasant. Some Compressors on Vocals and overly dynamic channels directly, some Reverb Fx, Vox, Instrument and Drum Group and thats it. Mostly because i havent learned yet how to more enhance the mix than ruining it. Thanks for your shared wisdom Guillaume, all the best from Germany.

    is it better to use the Behringer wing with a dl251 or a dl32/dl16? what are the differences?

    • @GuillaumeLortie
      @GuillaumeLortie  2 месяца назад

      Hi 👋
      Short answer is : DL251.
      Now, let’s talk about it, if you have the budget and to get the absolute best out of your WING, this is the most highend possible preamps you can connect to it. To be clear, a DL32 is not gonna be night and day difference here.
      I also like to only have 1 Stagebox to deal with to get 48 inputs and only having 1 cable.
      If you preferred quantity here, get 2 DL32.
      If your budget is more reasonable, a single DL32 will give you great sources.
      Personally I would recommend 3xDL16 to get more outputs options.
      Stick around as I will dive into stagebox soon here on the channel.

      @@GuillaumeLortieokay. I currently use 3 s16s, but i was told I can get better sound from either of those choices (dl251/dl32/dl16). How would you describe the sounds of each box?

    • @GuillaumeLortie
      @GuillaumeLortie  2 месяца назад

      @@jesseojo it’s hard to do this over a single message but I’ll try to make it short :
      DL32/16 have a better overall response, you’ll feel you need to EQ a bit less and you’ll get less background white noise.
      DL251 is a different game, no more background white noise. You’ll EQ more to shape and enhance than correct and things will be easier to mix together. Things will fight less and you will have more space in your mix to rise some stuff.
      You’ll have an easier time to mix keyboard, vocals and guitars.
      It will feel less crowded, even with the same settings.

      Been working with the DL32 and DL16 for literally years now and i never knew that you could connect a DL251 to the Wing or X/M32 series. Nice to know. Thanks a lot @@GuillaumeLortie

    Using all Beyer, are you not a fan of the M201 TG on snare?

    • @GuillaumeLortie
      @GuillaumeLortie  Год назад +1

      I just didn’t had mine on hand that day, I keep it home most of the time and I prefer to use the D58C ( clips ) on snare, it had more definition when only using a Snare Top.

    • @jasonlapasinskas5302
      @jasonlapasinskas5302 Год назад

      @@GuillaumeLortie right on. I purchased the extra clips for my m201 and also got some of the TGI51’s that are monsters on snare and toms. Bought MKV87 clamps for those too.
