- My trip to the Ace cafe London on the BMW R1200GS was an eventful day, missed turns, crashes and laughs!

Q. Why didn't i stay until they were to the bottom on the hill?
A. I was already running behind, I was due at a group ride to London with BMW. I had this bike from BMW for a review. I Could not be late it was not an option.
Q. why did I go quiet?
A. I was dealing with the situation. making sure I was doing all I could. it's no time to be chatting away.

Loads of blokes and nobody asks for directions or brings a sat nav and everyone gets lost... sounds like a typical group ride to me.

t0There are a lot of BP's where I live, but I don't live in Britain or the UK, I'm ameriacan. I got sad at the crash part as well. A friend of one of my family members got sliced in half by a stop stop when he crashed on his motorbike.
Oh those "spiraling boobs"... Alot of horrendous memories being thrashed up and down those things. I'm based just down the road. Running distance ironically.

I really dislike the GS and all other rbands based on it.

Blackbushe is right near me, one twisty road away and you would have been at my door :-)
Obviously you made it there (and I assume you made it home and aren't still trapped in London), but it is quite easy to get there - straight down the A30, M25, M40 then you are there :-)
My aprila 125 is refusing start the coil plug works Sparks but the spark plug I don't know that be the problem what do you think spicy 110

There is a great route through the hills and A roads from your neck of the woods to Ace. Next time shout me and I'll escort you if you fancy it!

Ha ha ha. I've lost count the amount of times I've forgotten about that speed bump and smashed my nuts against my tank.
Woulda been hilarious if you'd found a random GS rider and followed them then turned up up north or something XD
I also miss junctions quite a lot! Sometimes I take the junction I need but get back on the motorway in the same direction, no idea why :-(

Do you think GS is too much for a first time rider? I might get a Suzuki vstrom 250, or honda cb500x, but also considering a GS.
The 1200 is a lot of bike and due to the jumpy clutch isn't going to be easy for less experienced riders. Also it's massive and expensive. unless you really are going a long long way that Honda might be the better bet. You the might find the 250 lacking in power only having 24bhp
@@spicy110 yea i thought the same but I heard due to its light weight the lack of power is not that noticeable, but yea...might end up getting the honda I will definitely test drive the both
That's the best thing to do, good laugh if nothing else 😁 just remember most reviews won't have a pillion or luggage!

Hahah. I live next to those hills. It's the left-over dirt from when Wembley Stadium was built. When you walk around (the spiral one) to the top, you can see all the way to the Gerkin buiding in Central London.

ShadowGuidR Yup. Horsenden Hill and a view of Southall as well as Northolt and Greenford Station. I live just 5ish mins away from there. In fact, I can see all 4 hills from my balcony. It's not too bad.

+Conway79 It was interesting. Passed it alright first day, but my instructor wanted to see me again afterwards anyway to check I wouldn't make the few errors I did. I've not yet done that as we've yet to arrange a suitable date, but have done plenty of riding on my own and I'm loving it. (Haven't yet made those mistakes again BTW, and don't plan to.)
