Something I noticed, a Juvenile monkey, if related to the kidnapper will help the kidnapper or the juvenile relation of the baby that gets kidnapped they try to help the baby get away from the kidnapper.

Или боится нанести вред малышу, когда будет его отнимать, там ведь каждая тянет на себя бэбика... Но справедливость восторжествовала в конце, терпение мамы было оценено, похититель наигралась малышом и отдала его мамочке... 🙂

Poor Jill, her low ranking status allowed pretty much any female to take her baby. All she could do was follow til they decided to give him back. If they were abusive, she could only sit by and watch. Even nasty Deedee outranks her.

The mother can't take her baby back. If she tried she would be attacked by the whole troop and either hurt or possibly killed and the baby could get hurt too. The mother is lower ranking and has to wait

mephe drone MOST of the time when you see a mother beat or bite their baby there is a very good reason. At some point a baby has to stop nursing and learn to forage for his own food. Fact of life and the babies - most babies - are furious about this. They are use to being comfortable in mama’s fur all cuddled up and getting a satisfied belly full of warm, rich milk. Now they are forced to learn how to find berries, seeds, which leaves are edible, etc and they say NO I WANT MY MILK! And many of them throw tantrums. Keep in mind it is a sliding scale in the beginning of the weaning they get milk and some forage until it is a lot less milk and most forage.
Most of the tantrums involve figuring they will FORCE mama to give milk and they latch on like leeches and mama has to pull them off, repeatedly. This makes them madder and sometimes mama has to bite or slap to make her point.
This is why they bite and slap their babies. That baby acts like it is starving as that’s part of baby’s act but it’s not. It just does not want to get out there and pick berries.

I believe it is possible that the beating Jill along with the troops moms, beat Dana mercilessly as she tried to protect her newborn daughter, Daniela. It is possible that Jill was beginning to realize she was the sole surviving daughter of Amari. I low-ranking monkey show never cross the daughter of the troop’s alpha.

Bonnie Google baby clings because that’s what babys that age do. It’s too little to walk away. Mama does not dare try to grab the baby. Against the rules. The kidnapper is a higher cast monkey and must be “respected” so the others would beat the mama if she tried to grab her baby AND the kidnapper might hurt or kill the baby. Monkey rules.
