    Description - "Bird Food"
    The saying do not feed has never been so pertinent. As per professionals in the fields guidance be aware that feeding the monkeys garners a disrespect from the monkeys as you are seen as a lesser troop member who gives up their food and will be more prone to possible confrontations.

    Nice video! I really like your video description and wish more people in South Africa would feel the same!
    I am a big fan of The Vervet Monkey Foundation, aka The VMF! ❤ Living in the usa.

      I really appreciate this comment. I am going to make a documentary as the eventual outcome as what local me became aware of was so wrong towards animals and not common information for the average South African and Countries alike. This documentation goes to about February when all the new arrivals will be born, where for their best interest to remain wild they shouldnt get used to a person around.
      I spoke to someone at VMF and another rescue/sanctuary, wow is it easy to see theyre busy and from what i can only witness on this project wow do they have a nice patient to deal with. Such places are the only signs of decency towards a large percentage of monkeys that only have Urban areas and being that they are territorial they dont move.
      Its from them that i also heard a few complaints they face and what ive seen over a few months added to the first intention of filming them which was highlighting a character of an animal.Their route frequents my garden so the oppertunity presented is amazing and if any animal could keep an audience captivated while getting an alert across its monkeys. Even though as of right now a lanky boy looking monkey has literally, twice now and i havent gone out since , started bullying me. Intrigue, a locked gaze and joining me in my fastest sprint across the garden and up two flights of stairs numer 1.
      Then the next day i was noticed again, immediately approached and the same one, locked on gaze now couple with two instances of rearing up on back legs and slamming its palms onto the ground moves later i was sent home.
      Thanks again/ Hello America /Yay Support

    So does urban mean they hang out around the homes?

    • @babymonkeys2024
      @babymonkeys2024  2 месяца назад

      Yes those monkeys.The naughtiest, I wouldn't say they naturally hang out by homes because of what I've seen. they normally forage from before light onward and have a route to all edible plants and trees through gardens and green belts. They will keep going all day moving and eating until near where they sleep when the light goes. The ones that have found an unnatural food source or are fed lose their foraging ability somewhat and become lazy and will use the source as it's go to. So if they're hanging out unnatural feeding or they are just in their territory . These ones have a tree they always go to in the middle of the suburbs, territorial based and not a choice. Basically if the houses go they'd still be in that tree.

    IF THEY ARE WILD, WHERE IS THERE MOMS????

      Concern is appropriate thanks. Part 1 has the parents appear from 27 sec, 44 sec, 55 sec, 1,37 sec, 2,12 sec, 2,42 in etc. They are always around and scarily just a shout from the young away. There are ten parts till December and there are professionals available to answer questions and give feedback if required. We are based in this troops territory and feature the Parents throughout Check out part 2. I assure all these and all Urban Wildlife are wild and show it and unfortunately these monkeys can sometimes show more aggression than their wildlife park counterparts Thanks for watching.

      @@babymonkeys2024Professionals? I thought these were wild...it's not a sanctuary so what exactly do you mean you have professionals available?
