Love the boba ice cream.. and of course the dried fish fillet. Yumz!
I know right! I love the dried fish fillet. If I’m not careful I could finish an entire pack in one sitting
Hahahah same here!!!! ✌🏻

Your videos make wanna visit Sydney again! Such a huge variety of things.
Loved your video.
Thank you! You definitely should visit Sydney again 😊
Hi Janice. All that food looked great. It is not surprising that you enjoyed it all. Thankyou for bring this video to us.
thanks Jeff!
Loved this
Just found your RUclips this week and I'm really enjoying your videos. I live in the state of Pennsylvania in the USA. Thank you for your videos. I look forward to more, and you have provided some new binge-watching material for the COVID19 shutdowns. What wierd thing led me to you was a google search for cooking with spam recipes!!😆 Who would have guessed??!!??💜
Thanks for making this! I get so overwhelmed when I go into an asian grocery in CBD. Love the recommendations
Love this Janice! I'm from Sydney as well and found your channel when I was searching for cheap eats :)
Thank you Simon! Let me know if you have any video suggestions !
please do more of these videos btw i love them =)
Ramune peach drink !! I finally tried it it’s delicious 🤤 I need to go get more. I’ll try the yummy grapes next time I go to the Asian market I have them in peach and instantly be Ava me my favorite gummy. Thanks for the suggestions!!
I'm a new sub thanks to this awesome video
im asian and I still find this so fascinating haha I don't request the grocer but I used to work in one during my semester break and I'm remembering all the products lol
White Rabbit candy brings back lots of childhood memory! I love the grape gummy too🤤 Boba ice cream is killer, good but gosh a box cost a fortune 😅
I know right! 11 bucks for 4!
This reminds me of my childhood 😄 I had so many of those grape gummies, white rabbit candy and dried fish fillet when I was a kid. I also grew up on lemon tea, pocky, Yan Yan (where you dip the biscuit sticks into chocolate), chocolate koalas, Hello Panda, rice crackers, haw flakes, wafers, wasabi peas, egg rolls, seaweed and calpis 😋😝 and Eddy and I love that Asian grocery store - they have everything, and it’s so clean and spacious! Eddy is keen to try the brown sugar boba ice cream bar 😋
ahhh yes you are naming all the classics! you guys should definitely give them ago, especially if you like the brown sugar milk teas!
Looks great! I will have to check out this IGA store. Such a good range of good stuff.
Yeah it’s pretty decent!
I love Asian snacks always so much to choose from I love the chips 😍❤️..x
I enjoyed the videos
My favourite lunchtime supermarket before the pandemic, think I’ve tried most of the guilty snacks you bought except the Boba ice cream bar which looks really good. One thing I don’t like about this IGA is they use the damn super clear plastic bag so there’s no hiding from your workmates the amount of candies and snacks you consumed. 🤫🤫 love their drink aisle too, watermelon and coconut are my favourites.
hahahahaha bring along those woolies bags instead!
watermelons in.. watermelon juice?
Love “Thai Kee” its my all time favourite asian grocers, asian grocers are one of my happy places I can go crazy in them even if I don’t know what half the things are, I will defiantly be trying some of your recommendations that’s for sure (I have made a list on my phone) can’t wait 😁
Let me know how u like them!
Really nice haul you got there... Asian grocery stores are just amazing, really like their fruit/produce section too!
I like the Calbee brand of chips, just tried the shrimp and black bean flavor... its good!
Shrimp and black bean?! I don’t think I’ve had that before... will have to go look for it and try it now
@@JaniceFung You may be looking for a long time! Yeah... I fat-fingered that, I meant to type pepper, and then pesky auto-correct did it's thing! #%$&@!^$##
I do like black bean sauce, so maybe that's an idea for a flavor ;-)
I grew up with the malted vitasoy milk as well! It's a lunch box staple.
Wow, I wasn't on your channel for a few months and have a lot to watch. Diligent :)
We do have an Asian shop locally so when it opens I take a look and see if they have any . the ice cream looked great ,also the crisps . Nice vlog as always stay safe take care
Thanks Michael! yeah the icecream was pretty good - im gonna try to see if i can make it myself
I'm a quarter Chinese and me & my brother LOVED White Rabbit when we were younger!!
There’s a Japanese market near me in Southern California they have gimbop which is really good and good ramens what I’ve had
Thank you girl
I wonder if I could any of that stuff here, but I'll take a look.
Nice choice of asian snacks and yes Thai Kee IGA Supermarket has a great range.
My go to snacks of late (last few months) have been Japanese snack as I'm missing Japan so much and want to go back.
The snacks include:
1. Calbee potato Chip Nori Shio (Salted Seaweed) - Great with a beer 🍺
2. Senbei - Flavoured rice crackers
3. Kit Kat - both Green Tea & Black Sesame
4. Black Sesame Ice Cream
5. Dorayaki
6. Demochi - Mochi Doughnuts
But the list is endless as there are so many great snacks
ahhh love that list! i've never had a black sesame kitkat before.. that sounds delish..!
@@JaniceFung they are great but very very hard to find.
💜 love Asian store's💜as a chef I always finding new things to use.💜boba ice cream looks good not sure if we have in the UK💜
Yess the boba ice cream is amazingggg
Me and my wife enjoy the calbee chips. The bolognese one is delicious! 😬
The white rabbit candy was my childhood candy especially during Chinese New Year... really want to try the brown sugar boba ice cream bar but it’s difficult to find available stock here
yes! the white rabbit candy was always in the circular box thing that we put on the table during chinese new year
Hey Janice, I recently started watching your videos and really enjoy them! :) thanks for recommending so many good places to eat at in Sydney.
Also, just wanted to recommend you a better boba tea ice cream to try. You are right that the 小美 brand boba isn’t as chewy. Try the 阿奇儂 brand, the boba is super chewy! Just realised I can’t post the photo of the boba box here 😅 maybe I’ll try to message the pic to you or something. If you do find it hope you enjoy it as much as I do! X
Oooo I’ll google it! Thanks for the rec!
This is heaven to me! I am so jealous lol
I have a new drinking gave every time Janice says 'Creamy' or 'Tasty' take a drink...lol...😜🤭...Growing my favourite asian snacks were the Tinned Fried Dace, I loved the rich oily chewy crunchy salty texture. I also liked 'Haw Flakes', which were these dried coin like sweets that were a little chewy & tangy at the same time.
is that a bubble tea ice cream? i just tried one , it is super delicious
Ohh should have seen this 3 months ago when I was in Sydney hahah I should go there again for sure 🤔
Definitely do!
The aloe vera drink is delicious, especially the lychee flavour one

What’s a favourite snack or lolly or candy from your childhood ?
when I was a kid, I would buy these pick n mix strawberry gummies for 5p each. They were super sticky and tacky. Sticks to your teeth, but I loved it. And then for asian snacks it was the white rabbit!
When I was 12, I visited Sydney and had Blackstar Pastry, it was soo delicious.
I will visit again.😊
Chocolate any chocolate, ice cream , cakes , sweets , I could fill this page with the list I used to like as a child lol, now don't eat any at all its a good job I stopped other wise they would be wheeling me around lol.
My sister's Japanese Pinpal came to visit us about 25 years ago. When she was here we tried Shrimp Chips. All kinds of Asian junk food but the shrimp chips were my favorite!
its pretty good hey!
Yasss those gummies!!! Vitasoy!!! Aloe!! All my childhood 😍
I need to go to Australia!
oh my gosh! I wish the perth Asian grocery stores were as good but sadly they arent. Still i really want to find a really good instant Taiwanese style beef noodle. Really miss that from my Melbourne days and im not much of a chef unfortunately.
Wow! I have the same kettle too!
Do u like it? I really like that I can control the different temperatures 😅
Janice Fung yes, that’s why I bought it. Guess we’re both control freaks!
If you can find Dried spicy cuttlefish coated sugar, it's a definite must try. It's those kind that flattened to thin pieces. Maybe to some it is a bit weird, but it has a sweet and spicy taste to it.
Coated with sugar? Oh wow I’ve never tried that combo befor e
Them brown sugar bubble bars 😋
When I go to Japan I sometime buy this kind of Dried Fish sticks. I love them. They have a kind that is cheezy and it taste great but also smells very strong. I did the mistake of eating one pack during a trip on a Skinkansen. The whole car was smelling fish and cheese! I can't believe that I missed Thai Kee Supermarket. I went to Market City but only visited the clothing and souvenirs section. I really need to go back.
Cheesy fried fish sticks? That sounds interesting haha
snacc heaven 😍
hehee yeahh
omg Thai Kee is the best for anything Asian!
I would go broke instantly if I had an asian supermarket that’s hella huge like this near me and the brown sugar boba ice cream is so goodddd!
Hahaha ! Yesssss it’s so delish
OMG JANICE YOU GOT SPONSORED, IM SO PROUD OF YOU!!!
Thanks leo!!
those prices were crazy!!! jeezus I think I won't be able to afford asian food if I lived in Sydney
I know 😪 it’s so exxy when you compare it to how much you’d pay overseas...
I wanna try the boba ice cream bar!
You should!
this is a great idea for a video - i think i want to do a video like this but i am afraid to eat so much snack - get fat so easily =( lol
i miss those gummies! i use to eat it all the timeas a kid - its been a long time!
the brown sugar ice cream is so gooooooooood! they have other brands too i want to try
you totally should try this video idea out! i only ate a bit of everything and shared whatever i could :)
You should try the orange supermarket at Wolli Creek :) its cheaper!
Ooooo looks delicious
Thanks! 😊🙏
Janice Fung np I don’t like a lot of chinese and like those stuff but it looks delicious but idk if I like it I’m picky about my foods 😅
All I like is a same but one thing in my favorite is seaweed crispy :-)
Ahh yes how could i forget! Seaweed was what I bring to school for recess lol
Janice Fung Right Janice
Tao Kae Noi seaweed in tom yum flavour & of course the dried squid shreds.
Oh, does balut count as a snack?
I’ve actually never had a balut before...!
#NewSubby...I'm not asian...But the white rabbit milk lollies was one of my childhood favourite and the peanut lollies they look like a peanut still in its shell and the red salted prunes,I knew them as Chinese lollies was what I looked for at the Asian Grocery shops .OMG!! I didn't know they made the white rabbit bobba tea with pearls!? I Need to get my hands on one!..Plus I'm really LOVING YOUR CHANNEL!.I have been binge watching all your content!
And I'm also from Sydney.
👍😁😍😍😍
Thank you so much! Let me know if you have any videos you wana see 😊
Woah, Calbee pizza chips! i've never seen them with english writing though. i'll need to go to market city!
Yeah go check it out! It’s got quite a bit of everything !
@@JaniceFung i finally went this week, and got a number of things (most mentioned in the video) thanks for the tip!
Have you had the Milky drink?? It's like a spider drink. Next to the aleo vera
Have you ever done the Poppin kitchen
Is it calpis?? If so yes I have! I really like it
Oh wait it’s not calpis.. hmm no I haven’t

I'm Hong Kong and every time I go to a central supermarket I be like: Mom can I get the chips ?

oooo are they similar to this one?
actually the amazing oriental Netherlands is smaller. if you google the keywords, you will find its website :D
How did you walk past the Koh Kae coconut coated peanuts and fail to grab a can? One of the best snacks!
I did? Haha I must’ve missed it
Mind blown that you ate everything you bought.
Calbee Curry Flavoured Chips Recommended

The sugar free Aloe has the same effect as drinking epsom salts, drink that if you want to lose a few pounds overnight!!
Went to Thai Kee IGA and it was lacking in selection of snacks :( Tong Li Haymarket is better 😂
White rabbit ohsemmmmm 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
😋
Is this thai kee IGA, janice?
Yup!
Janice putting on extra pounds! :D
no durian? :)
haha no.. not a huge fan of durian :P
@@JaniceFung sad...
I too like the Aleo drink. Look at the salt content as well. That will ensure you don't buy often.
oh.. i didnt know it was high in salt.. it tastes so sweet lol
🌹cantiknya (✍️)...
I don't mind trying Asian. As long as she's nice : )

Am I cooking?
