    I just love how you highlight the consistent moves from the greats.

    Similar to what John Schlee tried to convey many years ago...he said go to impact position and then start your backswing...your method of getting to that position for feeling and then returning to the regular setup makes more sense in that it does not require as much movement to the backswing....thanks for your great explanations....I purchased and have been watching your senior series the last couple of days....I consider it a great investment as I am getting back into the game.

    Awesome video! Personally speaking, this leg action was more natural when we had medal spikes on our shoes. Since the soft/no spikes I have less trust in my footing. It just means i need to work harder in this technique. Thanks!

    great videos. I recently watched a video of Jake Knapp's beautiful swing on a training session and it wasn't clear on the show notes but a commentator pointed out he had a golf ball under his trail foot as he practised.. what do you think the purpose of that is? Thanks for all your videos

    • @CraigHansonGolf
      @CraigHansonGolf  3 месяца назад

      Probably to slow his hips down

    • @A-FrameWedge
      @A-FrameWedge Месяц назад

      That is an old practice method to keep the weight from drifting outside his right foot, probably had under the the rightoutside edge of his right foot.

    About 15 years ago, I had lunch with a guy that had been a PGA intern at Shady Oaks in the 70’s. He’d shagged balls for Hogan many times and had never published personal photos of Hogan hitting balls. In a couple of them, Hogan’s left knee was nearly as bent as Moe’s at impact. The “snap the knee” stuff never worked for me, but “rotate the left knee toward the target” as the downswing trigger, has always worked well.

    For about 15 years now when my swing gets away from me, i use a strong left hand grip aim 20 yards right, feel like i turn my back towards the target at the top and feels like im swinging thru my heels on the way down, hit my 9 iron 150 yards all day on target, only works up thru my 7 iron, but it works for me

    Around 7:25 you seem to be getting into a really bad alignment issue for amateur & senior golfers of lead hip, knee & ankle not being vertically stacked. Watch, for example, ''Xander Schauffele Golf Swing Sequence and Slowmotion at Oak Hill 2023''. He is pretty much vertically stacked on lead side from transition to impact. Sliding lead hip & knee beyond the ankle is not going to be a good anatomical position for most amateur & senior golfers.

    That move where these guys take their lead arm back like they're Stretch Armstrong is unattainable for most people. Unless you are young and very flexible it's way easier to shorten your swing to a realistic goal
