Holy crap! I literally just had a eureka moment watching this, so I grab a club and try to do some practice swings thinking about my right hip staying down and it puts you right in that spot with the shoulders automatically… I can’t wait to try this at the range!!!
Everything he is saying is bang on expert information. This emphasis on tilted shoulder turn is the key to laggy connected strikes with pro follow through. Its the 'knack'. Coupled with inside back swing and grip
I'm 14 days after my left knee replacement. I'm enjoying watching your videos. Your way of showing the pro swing and amateur swing is dead on. For years we were told to swing like say Freddy but not given any information as to produce the swing. I've known for years what I was doing wrong but never enough information to change my swing. I so looking forward to start using your videos
Makes perfect sense. Starting these drills today. These could also be great warm up exercises. Being an older athlete and still surfing, cycling, running and playing soccer it’s taking longer to get muscles fired up and the body into the right positions. Thank you! 👍😎
Thanks Craig, great content as always. 👏🏻 Lots to take in there but I do agree, if you have some fundamental body positions at different parts of the swing to be aiming for then the rest of your brain will figure it out. It then comes down the hand eye coordination etc One key element though that I feel is critical is the trail scapular. For the golfer to get the most out of the power generated by the body, am I right in saying that the scapular has to down and connected to the rib cage so that the power transfer to the arms and club ? This is imo only and would welcome your thoughts on this. The added benefit is that you maintain better arm structure. Finally, recording your swing is THE best advice everyone should take away from this video. I will be purchasing a LiveView once I have enough cash as this makes recording and reviewing your swing super simple. ⛳️
It’s similar but not exactly the same. We have a complete series on the shoulder movement on WorldClassGolf.com in fact theres 85 separate series there. Not on RUclips. And if you want me to analyse your swing it’s possible. 👍
There's a left pelvic tilt at the beginning of the downswing, not a lowering of the right hip as you claim, with the hips level halfway in the downswing then the left hip rising at impact. It's clear in you're video @9:25.
Yes right hip is 10-14 degrees higher at the top of the backswing Left arm parallel ok the downswing around 0 degrees At impact the left hip is around 10-17 degrees higher than the right. Left hips lowers around 7 cm in the backswing .. and right hip is around 7cm lower at impact Those are PGA averages. My partner is Dr Robert Neal one of the world’s leading biomechanics instructors.
Ive been working on the side bend but i had a spinal fusion and the majority of my vertebrae cannot bend or twist so i need to get all my flexibility from the bottom 2 vertebrae. As such, large side bend is physically iimpossible for me. Any suggestions? I am trying to stand up taller with my irons but that causes other issues. I cant be the only person with a spinal fusion playing golf? Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks
You might be better off with a higher swing and a slightly weaker style grip. Almost like David Toms .. so you don’t need as much side bend. I’ve done this with several students online.. With personal messaging/ phone calls it’s possible to find the best way forwards. worldclassgolf.com/online-lessons
Happy New Year Craig, is the 55 degree angle also valid when using the driver? Analyzing some of my videos I saw that for example I have 50 degrees with the 7 iron but only 36 degrees with the driver.
@@barrymac1951 LISTEN TO THE VIDEO! - Have you been drinking? I said it doesn’t matter whether you are 75 years of age or 30 years of age The more mobility you have the better your swing is going to be!!!!!!!!! Stop spreading negativity and anger. The video specifically talks about improving flexibility for all different ages. Pay attention you idiot!

Is this tilted shoulder move also done in a driver swing?

The hip lowers because of the angle 📐 they are on .. muppet

The vertebrae of the lumbar are not created for rotation , so do not try to try to rotate . You need to have much more of an arm/ wrist based swing .
Happy New Year Craig, is the 55 degree angle also valid when using the driver? Analyzing some of my videos I saw that for example I have 50 degrees with the 7 iron but only 36 degrees with the driver.
It will actually be close to the same and sometimes, more, depending on the player but 36 is outside the average
Australia 😅😅 Great Video ….
😊👌… Thanks
i'm close! about 48 degrees
thanks for taking the time post 👍
The pros are all hitting the balls on the SIDE of their body; the amateurs are hitting the balls IN FRONT of their body
Well, not exactly. It looks that way from down the line, but from face on, a pro's hands are clearly in front at impact.
i’m 73 and can’t get close to these positions, so i guess i should just quit?
It’s about improving i mentioned that in the video ? Did you only watch 60 seconds?
Please watch the video mate!!!
i watched it until you said there's not difference between 75 yo and 30. but thanx anyway.@@CraigHansonGolf

13:06 40 degree shoulder turn, should be 42 degree. 42 is the meaning of life.🤔 Your are the best instructor on YT👌👍🙏

Ouch, my back hurts…..separates the pros from the rest of us.
stretch more
