The only things that took him time was the very simple programming to turn hand movements into coordinates for the machine. And then spending a month trying to make it work. /s

If i remember it right- the jello fad in the 50s is the result of rationing from WW2. Supplies were low and putting food in gelatin made it last longer while making larger portion sizes
My great grandmother had a bunch of books that were for these. One was those little mini hotdogs and tuna, mandarin oranges and tuna, and...chipped beef in mayo jello.....
