Before I retired I teamed up with a local church and we did a twice a year event called Fix My Ride. The church provided the budget and local techs volunteered to come together in the church parking lot and spend their Saturday repairing cars for approximately 45 people who could not afford to keep them up and safe. Doing what you are able to to help out a less fortunate family is outstanding in my book. Our profession needs more like you! Thank you!

I have been there with my daughter after I had problems with her mother I had to get a court order for her to come live with me because her mother was fighting me over nothing but the monsters in her head she was a undiagnosed manic bipolar disorder and she has never been treated for that if you have ever known someone with that condition you would understand how it affects her daughter who is now married with children of her own but the first few months after I won full custody of her I had problems with the normal things of getting her in school and the clothes and things a young girl needs to have. I also had health issues and couldn’t work at the time currently on disability because of that but I realized I needed help and got it from my family so it all worked out for us but I am glad to know that you are helping out a father and his daughter when they are trying to find their way to a normal life. It was hard for me when I had to become the single parent of a girl who had been through so much and I was all she had left. It was hard for me to ask for help but I was glad that I had the support I needed. I’m sure it is the same for the father that you are helping now

Thank you for your concern. He came with a friend of a friend to help us move. He just offered to help because he was free for the day. When we got to talking, he told me about an issue he is having with his truck. Then I took it for a test drive & realized he had an issue with his brakes as well. Really love the content of this video. I recently opened my own shop and Got the opportunity when I was 16 to spend an hour a day. Through an elective school class at a local automotive shop. I ended up dropping out of school not that's a good thing. but school never worked for me and I worked for the same shop 3 and a half years and I got my start in the business as apprentice. there now 26 years later I own my own shot Been thinking about doing the same sort of thing mentoring young people interested in an trade mechanics I have an apprentice mechanic now But I really appreciate you and your ideas because that's really how How communities work. Hey Katrina. I actually haven't even unpacked it yet. Been so busy with the move and everything involved. It's going to be another 2 weeks or so before all is settled and then I will make sure to let you know how everything is! I appreciate your patience!
Its highly unlikely its a vacuum leak. There's a misfire on the number 4 cylinder. A vacuum leak won't effect just one cylinder. Even though the code is for a crank position sensor, the issue is almost certainly something else. Crank sensors are used to send timing data to the PCM. As with a vacuum leak, a crank sensor can't cause a misfire on just one cylinder. The problem is most likely due to a bad injector, spark plug or ignition coil. The part itself may be bad, or the wiring. Also, when there's an issue with one or more timing sensors, the PCM typically won't let the engine crank. If its an interference motor, timing can only be off so much or the pistons will snap all of the valves. The other code is for the EVAP system. Fixing that will probably take care of the hard start concern.

Lacking power, hard to start, is it running warmer? Id say a vacuum leak. Unmetered air will do that.
