That sticker is because the truck is a reimport. It was built to be sold in Canada and shipped there originally. Then a company (Bisbee?) likely bought it as a used vehicle in Canada, and shipped it back to the States to be sold. Different countries have different production requirements, so in theory, Bisbee brought the vehicle to US standards before reselling it here.
@@elcheapo5302 Oh ok, I just know it was originally sold there. Someone in Canada owned it first (looked at Carfax report). Then it was sold and imported to the US.
Love your video's but why wouldn't you check fluid levels before starting the truck, I'm sorry but if it got towed in with overheating issues I would want to see if it had coolant first.
He has done that in many videos, I just said the same thing in another of his videos. What's funny is in another he assumed it was low or out of oil, yet he still started it, also the last oil change window sticker said the last time it was changed was 30k miles ago, yet he still started it.
I have a 2020 Chrysler 300 with that rotary-dial. I have to say that I liked it but I know down the road it'll probably give me problems. When I first bought the car, I had the engine running, I put it in drive and opened up the driver side door and it automatically switched into Park. Damn thing won't let me kill myself if I wanted to... LOL
Put your seat belt on and then it will let you drive with the door open 😂. Also if you shut off the engine and it's not in park, it will put it in park.
It's not any more likely to give you problems than a traditional shifter , they also select the gears electronically now . The automakers done away with shifter linkages and cables many years ago .
@@HowardJrFordthat’s not true. We went from a cable that outlasted the car, to a switch a motor and a sensor with a modulation box. You say it will not give problems HA! I bet it’s similar to my tacoma 4x4 switch. Don’t come to me when you try to shift but just get flashing lights
The HM Kenny @ WWK doesn't mean Kenny has been knighted by the Queen.. it just means every once in a while there's a bit of Hokie Malarkey floatin around. !! 😅 😊
That's stop leak. That cooling system is not clogged, it will never cool the same. Make sure you really flush that system out good before a new radiator.
Stuff like that rotary shifter and tow lock safety lever make me love my '96 Ram WS even more. Technology will never succeed common sense and simplicity.
I just replaced a radiator that cracked same spot under the hose. Junk is from adding wrong coolant. Ram takes that organic stuff and if you use ethanol base coolant it jells up.
Thanks for this info it will be helpful to 5.7 owners . Ford Boss Me also says that the 5.7 has oiling problems at idling . Why wouldn’t Dodge fix this problem since police cars can idle sometimes for hours when working accidents and investigations ? Thanks for all your hard work and information you give us !……
To help with your phlem on your chest put a half a teaspoon of Cardamom (ground) in your tea it will take a little while (week or so) & it will help guaranteed (I use it daily). Hope this helps Cheers mate (retired spanner spinner in AUS.)
I don't know I might run some radiator cleaner through that cooling system before I replaced the radiator. Whatever is on that radiator cap is probably throughout the cooling system. Just a thought.
Haven't seen you use the Launch scanner lately, is it not so good for extreme problems??? Got me one off your Links. Really good for my level. Keep wrenching ✅🍀😎☮️✌️
Ugh. Radiators. I've replaced three in the family since February; two in the same vehicle sixteen days apart. Yeah, that looks like Stop Leak in this one. 🤮
Hi Kenny, you would think that the automotive industry would have learned by now that buttons and dials are not conducive to auto engineering. Let’s go back to the Ford Edsel. Putting in reverse and driving through their garage wall. Plymouth and Chrysler with their push button shift solenoid mechanism. Nothing but trouble. Idiots.
Someone dumped a ton of stop leak into that radiator evident by looks of the cap lol.....Rotary shift hmmm the more high tech electronics they put, probably so the average guy, can't fix it themself, and have to go to dealer, where those parts costing an arm and leg lol..........
Plus having to be towed. The dial shifter on mine has intermittently failed to shift into any gear, some time later it would work. The dealer couldn’t tell me why. I’m afraid to drive it out of town, for example, to the airport where is could cause me to miss a flight. Dealers a happy to “try this then try that” at your expense of coarse.
I have no idea why people with newer vehicles put that stop leak crap in em instead of just getting it fixed. That crap can clog heater cores and everything else with small passages. I'm not a fan of the rotary shifter either. My f one fitty has a gear shift with a cable and it's relatively new (2016)
Ugg...that cap looked bad. I would be tempted as a customer to skip the flush for that rad and go replacement. I am thinking it would leak after getting cleaned. Neat code decrypting.
Unrelated to the overheat condition, I was observing the ECM voltage reading on the scanner and it displayed 11.8V before you started the engine. The battery reading in the scanner increased to 14V briefly after you started the engine but then dropped down to 11.5V/11.4V for a while before you did the cut when you moved closer to the building. After you moved the vehicle, the scanner was showing 14.1V with the engine running which is more of what I expected to see. For that specific vehicle, is that normal for the alternator to stop charging temporarily after the engine is started or is that an indication of a potential issue with the charging system? P.S. Thank you for your videos. I always get some useful tidbits of information from them. :-)
That battery sounds weak turning over that engine. And why do customers act clueless when they know they been pouring bottles of stop leak in the radiator then act like they don’t know it’s been leaking
I know as often as not owners/customers pled stupidity but SOMETIMES it was previous to their ownership or friend/relative who ‘fixed it’ for them without telling them what they really did and possible consequences down the road!!!

Dodge or Japanese Chrysler's are awful. When you buy a 22 Ram and the dealership tells you the reason the A/C isnt getting cold enough in Arizona is because the way the blend door setup. They told customer to cut heater hoses and install a ball check valve to turn off the flow to heater core! Really on a 80 thousand dollar truck> Fiat I should say! Th told Mopars were awesome, but my Mobile Mechanic business sees Chrysler and Jeep, Nissans all the time. All junk!
The real problem is, it’s a dodge! … junk when it left the factory… always has been … buy a Toyota.. no recalls, no rust, no electrical problems, no engine problems (if maintained properly) i guess that goes with any vehicle. Toyota's have loads of recalls...You need to look it up,they have multiple problems, engines burn oil from new...Since 2011 the Prius even burns oil, ditto Corolla,Camry etc...From new they destroy the pistons, overtime it gets worse! Toyota always had loads of issues!
I would do a serious coolant flush on that thing BEFORE the new radiator goes in.
That rotary shifter is why I didn't buy another Ram.

Change radiator, flush that bars stop leak stuff out and replace thermostat. Put new coolant and re test.
Id like to have a couple minutes with a baseball batt and the engineers who designed the transmission shift knob.
The owner poured a big ole bottle of stop leak in the radiator, The stuff has a distinct look. Should flush the block to get it all out.

Mixed green an orange antifreeze makes brown sludge like that
Subaru has something similar the console.
The lifter issue was fixed in 2016. Any dealer repairs after that time will solve the problem - BTDT. Unfortunately for me, the fix works.
