- The last two feminine archetypes we are covering in this series are The Witch and The Queen.
The common association with The Witch is a wicked old woman that we see in many movies or stories for children. However, this interpretation has a lot of historical religious bias, which we deconstruct in this episode. We discuss The Witch in her fullest - as a powerful creative force and bringer of disruptive ideas.
We also talk about The Queen Archetype, a fully integrated combination of all the other feminine archetypes that can emerge when the woman matures.
At the end we propose a few exercises that can help you evoke different archetypes in your psyche or better understand other people's behavior.
Understanding the archetypes can help us see our blind spots, refine our strengths, and ultimately bring about deep and profound personal transformation.
So with this episode we are finishing our Jungian archetype series, where we explored four masculine (Lover, Warrior, Magician, King) and five feminine archetypes (Mother, Amazon, Lover, Witch, Queen).

Thank you for this series! I've been looking for quality information online and as you say, there is not much out there. How can women live to their full potential if we don't know how that even looks like? We live in a world moving so fast that is hard to connect to this information by yourself(I do believe that we have the ability, but it takes time and focus to get down to your deepest self) and these videos had definitely helped me gain faster information....How will I process it, I don't know yet, but for sure I got the general idea. I hope you will do more on the subject! All the best

Funny, people in the comments seem to think that western societies don't also have a rich and deep history of both mysticism/paganism and the feminine archetype of the priestess/witch being punished, murdered, cast out and therefore repressed & disowned by the modern psyche. Thank you for representing this important archetype available to all humans, regardless of gender. Could you perhaps speak on the importance of each of us reclaiming both the masculine & feminine archetypes of each of these traits in future discussions? We are each responsible to reclaim our individual wholeness and power, which encompasses our ideas of the masculine & feminine and integrating them into one. Our ability to embody our own connection to the mystical, intuitive, & divine by finding and developing our own inner Priestess & Magician. :)
What if your archetype is tied with the maiden and the mystic?
Well if you watch and pay attention to Sabrina the teenage witch, you will see that it is the battle of power of those that are trying to Annette a hierarchy system. Those people that are ruled by control. Remember man is controlled by one of six items. One of those items his control and we see that across the world. I love how Sabrina how they’re looking at certain sects in witchcraft And in Christianity. There are definitely parallels in that. And how she’s trying to break free of that into something that she believes is more of the way that we are supposed to be. I absolutely love the writing of Sabrina on Netflix it is absolutely phenomenal and about the unleashing of the witch the true embodiment of a witch. Because without the human dignity aspects we are allowing ego to rule. And I believe that is the point that they are trying to make.

Please please do not misunderstand me this was absolutely a great discussion I love it. I just think there’s more underlying things that were going on during burning times 😔. I follow the breadcrumbs to get to the root of issues and it goes beyond just the church and don’t get me wrong I grew up with children of the corn church and I do not like that path. I do not like people telling women and children it’s OK for them to be beat on I absolutely am not OK with that. I am not OK with making someone a a servant to another in a cruelly selfish way absolutely not. And I definitely agree that they wanted to get rid of the medicine men and women and the spiritual advisers because we empower the people. And that’s what these control freaks do not want. That’s too bad for them Because the universe was designed that you got to eat what you plant and you have to sew it there’s no way around it. But yes great conversation I absolutely loved us it was so full of information just wonderful

I think so. Traditional pagan shamans and healers do exist today.

Lost interest when you meantioned that one of your main sources is Jordan Peterson.
That history of witchcraft was too cringe to bear.
Well here’s what happened there were underground a Colts that comprised of aristocrat. They held the armies and they held the power of the infiltrate of the church the church wanted power as well and they kind of ran their show together because without the kings and queens and the Dukes and so forth the witch trials would not have been successful or the burning time would not have been successful the mass murders that they did like the Knights Templar. But it wasn’t just the church coming out saying we want one mill figurehead it was them collaborating with the men and women who were in power on this earth. The thing is man’s law even today currently is being used in the churches but it’s Being spurred on by organizations that are in power. And things like the order of the dragon in 1408 in France they were also doing things to as well. I’m on a history major and I absolutely was born with the veils open and so I mean wide-open and I absolutely love history and I really get into the supernatural aspect of it. So yeah it was definitely a collaboration between these two organizations. Yes the church definitely one of them to go to it because they were also threatened by the kings and queens that were in power. If you studies a Medici family and the things that they did in France Catherine Medici for one you’ll see who the ruling powers really were and how they use their leverage over others to manipulate them.

The High Priestess is actually not a witch at all. She belongs to the system and she is limited by its rules. She is a servant of the highest level. She is conscious, but too loyal. Witch (or a Magician) isn't limited by anything except his or her current motivation and will.
Don't men have a father archetype? Of course they can't take on the mother archetype but there are men that want to be a parent
Yeah I really think it's missing! The father is also super important and a mirror to the feminine. They both mirror each other in all archetypes so if one is missing everything would be fragile...

History shows that the catholic Church in medieval Europe was powerful. That’s a fact. The majority of the population could not read and had other ways of knowing and passing on information. Reading and ownership of books was not widespread. People were accused of and tried for hereticism and witchcraft. Court transcripts still exist. The church today is not like that.
Great discussion on archetypes, one critique though. Jordan Peterson was name-dropped, he IS a sexist and a white supremacist. I mean he doesn't try to hide this. Why name drop him as a phycologist or even a source with merit?
