I'm glad she mentioned Simon Sinek. That guy is a light among darkness. He knows his shit, and for that reason he's both compassionate and unforgiving. Really tied in well with the theme of this talk.
Praising people's value is key to inspiring them. The quiet ones and addicts are hardest to inspire because they don't seemingly do anything you can praise.
Fantastic show! Love it! And the plant backlit by the lavender light is beautiful. Like the jazzy look the sound foam pattern gives. The content is beautiful, reminds me of Joseph Campbell and listening to you is helping to reawaken in me more the ....magician in me that I used to be in touch with when I was younger....and my effort to shift from the Trickster to the King of my life. Self Mastery. Thank you guys! Your delivery, your communication skills are on point and enjoyable to listen to. Top shelf!
Hi! I was wondering if you would consider the character “James Fraser” from the Outlander TV series as an example of the king archetype or a combination of others?
I feel like I channel the king energy more than the others. So many of the principles are core to my identity. Now I know better why I am always taking responsibility and hold true to my word.
"High-Chair Tyrant", very funny! 😄 Though I am not a Peterson fan, really liked the content -- especially hearing Euvie's female perspective, and the both of you calling out Trump for embodying the tyrannical king archetype (something Peterson carefully and purposefully evades, in my opinion). Not sure if you will be doing any more on this particular series -- but as the world is seeing a rise in dangerous tyrannical leaders (Bolsonaro being the scariest to me of the most recent), would love to hear more about this topic from the both of you. In general -- what you or guests perceive as the roots for the rise in global tyranny right now. For it's not just the leader -- it's also as much the people that are ready and willing to put tyrants on thrones.
I've listened to this around 4 times back to back

@ Nichols Trice I like the way “light” appears in your description of Simon Sinek . He’s such a beacon .

Good info. I thought of the movie Gladiator. The good King obviously Marcus Aurelius and his son I suppose would be the tyrant king
Excellent content.... Thank you very much. Lots of coherence here !

I'm definitely not a King; probably because of my overflowing buffoon energy 😄
Great video! The lady is very wise! Does she have another RUclips channel or something?
Really happy that you did a series on one of my favorite books on masculinity. I’d like to show these to the Seattle Psychedelic Society.

In the beginning you talk more about ego inflation, than about the King archetype...
