I can not believe that they don't play this song live, or that they didn't make a video for it ..... easily one of top ten STP songs of all time
There is a video.
I agree!!videos!!! videos!!!!
Agreed ❤
I agree. It's not Big Empty STP but it's a great song in it's own right. Definitely one of their best songs. The guitar work is great.
Scotts' spirit lives in this song. I can close my eyes and see him singing this.
I dropped a tear from your comment and it made me happy...
Made me tear up too just now
THIS, MY FEELING AND THOUGHT EXACTLY
I agree. I would love to hear more tunes like this from STP.
Absolutely. That’s why I love this song so much, could totally see Scott singing it…
The DeLeo brothers are criminally underrated as musicians and songwriters.
Beyond underrated. These two guys are brilliant personified!! Their tunes are instant classics and timeless!! Their choices in tones and sonic's is second to none. Timbre of everything is so evenly matched. Jeff Gutt is so damm good its scary. I can.only hope STP sticks around for many , many , many years!!
@Mike Conville , Weiland , was indeed an integra part of stp. No doubt. Without the brothers he had nothing
@Mike Conville , dude, those records were mediocre at best. Songwriting was far subpar as were some of the performances... yes, we could debate for days about it, its very subjective. That said, Scott Weiland, himself said in an interview from the Miami Herald " Well, there is a magic when the four of us write together...like some sort of gel dust falls from the sky and allows us to create some magic! The DeLeo Brothers are the core of this band, always have and always will be. To be honest , Im happy I can contribute to the process that is Stone Temple Pilots!!" That is from the man himself. Its pretty honest and also pretty truthful. Dave, si ger from Talk Show , ssid something similar. To paraphrase HIS quote... Its pretty simple to shine when Dean and Rob are in the band. I mean, its about as blatant as it gets. Ialso happwnd ro like Talk Show and a few cuts from Weilands silo efforts but, to say Scott was STP. Well, like saying Roth was Van Halen. Sorry dude, facts are amd always will be facts. The DeLeo Brothers are masters at their craft and are mainly responsible for their own success. Need further proof just look to their new tunes. New guy is fucking unreal and more than does justice...even.wrote the stellar Art of Letting Go. My point is that DeLeos form the nucleus of the bamd and everything else is gravy. Without their foundation it would be nothing
@Mike Conville , made what happen? He was a charismatic frontman, Brilliantly gifted lyricist and awesome melody maker. He was given music to sing over and he wrote melodies and words. Thats an amazing accomplishment. Trouble is that once again, without the DeLeo brothers he was a dude with gifts and nowhere to use them. You debate facts. Thats hatd to argue with. I admire your loyalty but strongly amd factually disagree. Joke is in you!
@Mike Conville folks meet Scott Weiland's wanna be lover.
Best song from this album.
Agree. This album was just ok for me. Meadow, Roll Me Under, Art of Letting Go and this song are good, the rest is forgettable.
amazing track my fave as well
This was initially my favorite song on the album as well. After giving it few months to grow on me I can honestly say I can't pick a favorite. It's filled with one great song after another. Bravo STP for bringing the magic yet again.
I wanted to really like this new album, especially since Jeff is a great singer, though I also would have loved to see what they could do with John Borja. However, for me the album was OK and mostly forgettable. This song though, is really great and up to par with much of their best work.
Roll me under is the realy best
My favorite song of this album, i have only 14 years old, but stp is my favorite band, and i think jeff is a good singer, rip Scott
Keep jamming to the good stuff kid. Don't fall into the trap of garbage that's promoted nowadays!
STP became my fav band when I was 17 (I'm 33 now), their extremely diverse catalogue from heavy stuff like "Sex type thing", "where the river goes" or "no way out" to sweet melodies as "and so I know", "about a fool" or the whole Shangri-la Dee da album made me a big fan. Also them Deleo are great at musicians, explored different genres as bossa Nova and gave a lot of beauty to so many great, underrated songs of theirs...not to mention Scott's voice could do literally anything he wanted when he was in his prime, his vocal range was tremendous. What a great band, imo way beyond the unfair "grunge label" they received at the beginning, much more sofisticated and diverse than any band that came from Seattle (STP didn't). They are still my N1 band, even though I've heard so many stuff from Zeppelin to F. Liszt and from Nirvana to Tom Jobim
rip Scott and Chester. Then watch the songs with Chester and the live shows, they're great
Just when I thought the younger generation had no idea what true rock music is, I see comments like this. Good on you dude! STP were radio kings in the 90's, it was a great time!
That’s about when I found STP, and I was that old then. Also I think Santiago and James are the same lmao, is this an alternate version of me?
i feel the 90s comin , such a beautiful vibes
I was 24, listening to this the whole album the summer of 2018. I'd just met a girl and we'd drive around the backroads of my hometown in New Mexico listening to this and hanging down by the Rio Grande. Its an instant classic in my heart, and reminds me of such good times. 😁
I love that, it's a great song to listen to with a girl....out at night, cruising...no big plans just chilling....good ole days man. I'm 48, would love to do that again
Reminds me of a girl I was with that I let slip right thru my fingers
@blakemaxfield4267 tell me about it. 😢😂 You live and you learn I guess.
This is my favorite song off the 2018 album.
This sounds like it should be on purple or tiny music! Great song!
I agree. Could even be on Shangri la Dee da too
I've fallen in love with this song
Wow, just wow. Absolutely beautiful. I just found this. I love Scott but Jeff's voice is wonderful. RIP Scott and carry on STP.
The bridge/outro part is absolutely beautiful, gives me chills every time. STP really outdid themselves on this one and it certainly holds up with any of their older catalogue songs! Please never stop making music boys!!
fala mn vc e br
Yeah, reminiscent of that technique in Badge by Cream. Different songs but same idea.
This is a killer tune, but Still Remains will always be my favorite. : )
I so needed new STP music in my life. When this track came up on the album it totally captivated me. Incredible musical composition and amazing vocals. The world is a better place when STP is still making music.
Props to the new guy and the old band. Just bought the physical cd today. Really good my rock friends...
Just discovered today that STP had a new record. Saw a banner the other day on social media about a festival appearance so I figured they had gotten a new singer. Listening to this new songs proves this new guy is no joke. Great job Mr. Jeff Gutt.
This tune alone is worth album price! What melodies, harmony and melancholy lyrics.Pure STP,it's why I love this band.
I love his voice. It's soothing and not ordinary
So smooth in every way! Poetic genius & melodic masterpiece makes for musical perfection. The DeLeo brothers find a way to add Jazz flavor to everything they do. No one in history has ever successfully blended Jazz with Rock-n- roll to create a sound so unique and perfect. It is disguised so well that most won't even detect it. They are the true genius Rock Band of their error. I 💘 THIS SONG!
INCREDIBLE song....
From the first guitar strum in the beginning of the song you knew you were going to love this song...
What an amazing album.....good job guys
Jeff, has brought the life back into STP after Scott and & Chester! To all the fans that new Scott & Chester let Jeff & STP carry on the legacy.
Stone Temple Pilots!
but it would have been fun to see what John Borja would have done with them.
Kelly Perucca this doesn’t miss a single beat of what OG STP used to be. I can close my eyes and hear this as if nothing ever happened... RIP Scott we miss you hope you’ve found peace. Your brothers carry it om
I agree 100 percent great album

What a good song, man.
This is a beautiful song.
Love it.
I like this song, STP hits you with another good driving down the road tunes as always, I think they are one of the best driving a car down the hwy bands ever.
indeed. likewise!
We miss you Scott
they are fools for not making this a video single, and pushing it....... it has a classic written all over it....easily the best song on the album, and rivals great STP songs of any era
They definitely are fools. It's pissing me off that it's been over 2 years and more than half the songs they've put out have been poorly promoted. They only play the hits at concerts. I honestly think they don't care anymore. Or they don't realize what they have with Jeff Gutt. A once in a lifetime damn good replacement.
@@lostz2754 If they put more effort, they'd turn Jeff into an icon just as big as Scott and Chester. He deserves bettter, he truly does. Not sure who is to blame tho
It takes money to promote through traditional media channels. But it takes less money to promote through social media channels. They need to hire a really good social media marketing/brand specialist. Also, Jeff needs to do A LOT more podcast/YT/Tiktok/radio station interviews and educate the audience on who he is a person, a frontman. He also needs a little edge. He needs to tap into his inner bad boy which all men have in them; so he shouldn’t pretend he doesn’t have one because of his Christian music background.
I swim in oceans of blue sky Autumn hazy
They tell me it's only you
Anticipating the one thing that could save me
But something's not right with the moon
Every time I get by I get closer to thinking
And we don't need that again
I've been sinking in blue eyed Autumn baby
Still thinking back to when
I thought she'd be mine
Thought she'd be mine
I thought she'd be mine
Thought she'd be mine
I thought she'd be mine
Mine in the morning
I walk the streets out of time so tired and lonely
Never to be the same
It could've been something beautiful if only
I opened my eyes too late
Every time that I try words get lost in the wind
And we don't need that again
I've been thinking of blue eyed Autumn baby
I used to remember when
I thought she'd be mine
Thought she'd be mine
I thought she'd be mine
Thought she'd be mine
I thought she'd be mine
Mine in the morning
I thought she'd be mine
Thought she'd be mine
I thought she'd be mine
I thought she'd be mine
I thought she'd be mine
Mine in the morning
I thought she'd be mine
Mine in the morning
Mine in the morning
I thought she'd be mine
Mine in the morning
I thought she'd be mine
Mine in the morning
que grande Manu!!!
Now I wanna google the guitar 🎸 chords!!!
The outro reminds me of Atlanta.
And that's not the only good thing about this song.
Same reminded me of the xylophone outro this song is a fucking masterpiece lyrically and musically. Top 5 STP song ever
Wow. Loved Scott Weiland. And must admit I didnt think I would like another singer with them but this is unreal. Epic.
Just give him a chance, everySTP fan yesterday, today, and tomorrow!!!
It actually sounds very good, surprised by the new singer. The brothers also made another catchy tune
This is an incredibly beautiful song
This song reminds me of the Scott Weiland years of STP. Great tune and great new singer but it evokes a strange melancholy feeling as well......
Definitely has the No. 4 feel to it for sure.
I really don't understand why they never perform this song or make a video for it ....... easily one of the best STP songs ever ...... so melodic, catchy, mainstream, relateable...... very bizarre, and almost insulting to downplay such a great tune
Great song. Sounds like it would've been right at home on No. 4.
beautiful track
Me too, I thought she'd be mine. Thanks for this song I know im not alone in how I feel about things.
Me three
Haunting. Like listening to a ghost.
This song is soo cool
This one sounds like an alternative radio hit.
Love the instrumental portion of this songs towards the end of the song. Classic STP!
reminds me of atlanta
For sure this album is a island material
This is a beautiful, melodic, well crafted song. It is a sweet sound orgasm. STP is alive and well and the world is a better place for it. Jeff is doing a great job. I can't wait to hear what comes next.
the show must go on, great song, this band has a future
This song is just perfect
Jeff you beautiful soul. This is amazing singing. The whole band is just so good here. Probably my second favorite song from the album after Art of Letting Go.

Yeah. I also love these songs! \o/
this one always makes me cry.
SI, loco... simplemente SI. Gracias STP, hicieron un discazo y con este tema compraron mi corazón. No puedo parar de escucharlo. En tu honor, Scott...Salud
There is such a haunting beauty to the guitar work. Absolutely love it.
There are songs that surprise us at the first touch, this is one of them! "Wonderful" : ) !
The blending of alternative music with a splash of country here is just....GAH! I never thought I'd love a song this much that had a twinge of country in it.
I absolutely love these new songs!
Love this new song... the whole album is brilliant.
Long life STP!!! Thanks for this great album!!!
my favorite album right now has been for quite a while I went into the record store and there it was, and I was on it!!! and I got it on vinyl but it sounds great over digital too!!! I've always been in love with this guy's guitar playing
This has been stuck in my head lately.
Jeff, you're BEAUTIFUL
STP lives...❤
101 percent Pilots👍
I LOVE this song. Would love to hear in it Noblesville. Got my tickets!! ❤❤❤❤❤
love this song
Such an amazing song!
LOVE this album! Jeff Gutt is amazing and I'm glad this awesome band is moving forward
I connect with this song!!
I saw them in 2019 with Rival Sons, new singer has a great voice and the DeLeo bros sounded perfect
I saw them as well in Phoenix with Rival Sons in October 2019 one of the best concerts I’ve been to!
This is such a great tune! Jeff sounds really good on the vocals. Love the melodies!! Thanks to the DeLeo brothers and Eric Kretz for continuing to move forward and make Great music! I love the entire album!! #STP rocks!!
I'm in love with this song, listening in an infinity loop...
i can t find any live of them playing this masterpiece
Amazing song; just found it recently!
Beautiful.thanks for keeping rock alive.
One of my favs on the new album.
Glorious
I got into an STP kick later in life. I coulda sworn this was Scott for a quick second. I wish I would've caught shows when I had the chance.. my fault, my loss. Their new efforts are good, Id like to see them live
Interstate Love Song brought me here again. Really like the new album. I think the bassist is sooo good ,also. I tried to buy the Purple album awhile back and they were out. Now I want to buy it and the new album. Thank you STP !Keep on keeping on !
I'm blown away by this, really lifted my spirits today - I hope they come to Britain
I needed this. Thank you STP.
Me encanta esta canción, tiene cierta vibra a Sour Girl.
Story of my life
Stp is back
This song is underrated
Just letting prime do it's thing. This came up and I looked cause it had nice hooks. STP. That's not Weiland I think and it hit's me. Nice song though. Very well crafted. Keep at it guys. Scott would be proud.
Great song, Jeff Gutt incredible voice!
this is so fucking great
Beautiful song!! Thank-you Jeff, Eric, Robert and Dean for moving forward with new music!! Love STP 2018!!
This song is solid ❤
This is a great song. Jeff’s vocals grab your heart and the lead guitar is so perfect and tastefully done. Love this whole album. Really miss Scott as he was so incredible. I was anxious to see them here in June at the AMP with Nickleback. This Covid sucks.
awesome album
Damn that ending is Atlanta all over again
Joe Pierce thought the exact same thing, they got the vibe but didn't copy it... just bought back old feelings of Scott, obviously in memory of him. By continuing and doing stuff like this they are keeping Scott's beautiful songs and memory alive ( a lot like AC DC did with Bon Scott, he is still famous years after he may have been forgotten somewhat).
I completely agree. Beautiful piece of masterpiece
Not even close to the level of ‘Atlanta’. You can’t compare a chorus singing ‘Thought She’d Be Mine’ over and over again to something like ‘She lives by the wall and waits by the door, she walks in the sun to me’...
Jimmy Lad it's closer to Sour Girl in that respect
@@jimmylad7358 , I do completely agree with you. Scott had such an unique way to adapt and vocalize a lyric to a song. I don't understand how some people try compare this new guy with Scott. I mean, he can be good but he's not even close to the artist Scott was. Either that or you don't understand who Scott was. Man ... comparing this song to Atlanta is no sense. This is regular stuff, he sings the same stuff over and over, much like Rhianna's "Umbrella". It's ridiculous and an utter blasphemy (lol) to compare both.
Good song
Sounds like the tiny music days great song makes me think of scott jeff was a great pick to carry stp from here on in!!!
This song makes me feel like shit, but i listen every f*ckin day LOVE YOU STP
I get that
What a great tune! Awesome job guys.
I fell madly in love with a girl in lawschool and she wouldnt date me just go out for coffee once in a while and she married this other guy and it took me 22 years to get over it.....one day i just woke up and the feeling was gone. So im not in love with her anymore but I still remember that i would have given anything for her love. Thats all that is left....just a memory and a fading one at that.....every year it gets harder and harder to remember what she looks like or the sound of her voice. i am now 49 years old and I dont try to date women anymore.....in tribute to the one true love i miss, I will stay single for the rest of my life. All in tribute to that love.
This is an amazing song!!! Thanks for sharing!!!
STP 4EVER!!!!!!!
DeLeo Bros. Era, behind every good lead singer is a better band. RIP Scott and keep the torch burning Jeff, the DeLeo Brothers & crew deserve it. STP, the classic rocknroll of grunge.
amazing...all the juice of the song can be apreciate in the end of the song...i guess thats why they did it, sweet melody!
CHILL VIBES (PEACE*LOVE*LIGHT*HAPPINESS) BEAUTIFUL SONG...IM MY BABY'S SUNSHINE BRAT FOREVER...HIS AND ONLY HIS FOREVER! I LOVE HIM WITH ALL MY HEART AND ONLY HIM, Nobody compares to him or could ever take his place he's amazing!!! Great song 🌜🔆🌟💜💛
Simply perfect!!!
Wow, I thought it was Scott the first couple of times I listened. Wonderful song....
flippin brilliant ..
Magic
great song!!!
amazing song
