Spend as much time with DAD that you can! I lost my dad 7 yrs ago and lost mom 5 days ago. Those minutes are priceless.
My moms 93, sometimes she's a pain but I realize that day will come & not looking forward to it. Sorry for you're loss
Sorry for your loss
Sorry to hear that, James. I will heed your advice. 🙏
My sincere condolences on your loss, may the good Lord grant you peace in this storm.
Prayers brother
Kudos to whoever came up with this video idea Frank . This was awesome !
Holy wow! I just put together that I know who your dad is! He’s a LEGEND around here Frank!!! Much respect to you both.
He’s one of the last great baymen. Pretty crazy. Thanks.
@@FrankSloup That’s for sure! My father (Frank Falco) grew up on the bay too. He made his living digging clams and catching flounder off the back while raking and tonging the bottom. We know your father and his work very well, and I love watching all of your videos too, Frank! Thanks for all you do!
Not only are you a great narrator, as someone else said, but a great example of a human being as well.
Stay safe, and may God bless you.
I love this! Best line: "Not like Arizona, 'cuz there's trees here." 😂
He spends too much time in the desert not up here in the white mountains we got trees here 😂
And grass you don't have to water....
@@CL-kn1rq That's one of the benefits of AZ living! I don't have a lawn.
As an Arizonan, we have trees and little towns like that - you just have to drive north an hour or two.
'And lawns that doesn't need to be watered".
Awesome time! Its always good to head home. Keep having fun with Pops... You both need it!
Loved seeing this aspect of Frank👍🇺🇸💙
I was pulled over in Pinal a couple weeks ago and I asked about you. An officer told me you were away because you lost someone important. I won’t say exactly who it was out of respect for your privacy. Please keep your head up, you are loved by many including me. Stay strong💪🏼❤️
A New Yorker by birth. Still have family on Long Island. Man, I loved this episode, Frank! Thanks so much! I keep telling folks that NY'ers are great people!
Commack here! Yeah my family still lives there. Long Island is awesome in the late summer and fall I truly miss my family and the food. Nothing beats the times I had with the bonfires on the north shore.
FRANK WE LOVE YOU VERY MUCH FROM WHEAT RIDGE, CO!!! THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE AND BE SAFE OUT THERE!!!
Frank, having lost both parents and all my siblings I consider myself a senior orphan. I'm thrilled you're spending time with dad. Very touching and seeing you in your childhood environment is extremely touching. It really brings the human side to you. Enjoy dad and continue to build memories because in the end, memories are all we have for the rest of our lives. God Bless and thanks for this trip down memory lane!
Im sorry and I am here for you!
@@jackdavid3696 Thank you! I just get emotional seeing someone return to their roots and spending time with Dad. I hope he doesn't take this time and visit for granted as I would do anything to hang with parents and siblings just one more time. I'm just grateful that I had a moment to tell each one how much I loved them before they passed.
@@user-ROBSTIME87121 yes I’m 17 turning 18 in a few days. Seeing your comment makes me realize how lucky I am to have all three of my sisters and parents. The loss of a life is such a horrible thing I remember with my grandparents. I will spend all the time I can with my parents and siblings, that’s why I live close to home and visit them every weekend (I go to TCNJ). Sir, I promise that your siblings and parents are looking down at you and are super proud of who you are. You are carrying on the family legacy and all your ancestors are rooting for you! Memories are the most important thing in the world and I appreciate you for reminding me this. If you ever need anything, I am here to talk.
I'm a big fan of Friday's with Frank...I'm a native Long Islander and very familiar with where you grew up. I work on the Great South Bay everyday. The view never gets old. Thanks for sharing.
Frank, thank you for sharing. That was great. You're a great narrator.
Thanks for watching!
@@FrankSloupHad no idea you were from Long Island… Thanks for showing people there’s more to NY than just the city… It’s a surprisingly diverse state. Hope you enjoy your time on the island with family! And who knows, maybe if I’m lucky I’ll run into you while you’re up here.
Thank you Frank for taking us down memory lane. Where you lived and places you used to hang out
Thanks Frank for taking us along on your vacation and trip down memory lane/pond/ocean sound. Going home and spending quality time with folks that love you are priceless!
Great video. The way you shared your younger life with a sense of pride was wonderful. Beautiful glimpse into you and your family.
Thank you Frank so nice to see where you grew up, beautiful.🙏😊
Where is your NY accent ? (Jersey here)
You have blessed with a wonderful family and a wonderful life.
Frank, your parents seem lovely 😊. (Watched the episode w/mom) As a native Arizonan watching this footage is a nice surprise. Thank you for showing us where you grew up.
Thank you Frank. Another look at home. Enjoyed our visit 🙂
Deputy Frank, thank you for showing the other side of you, very educational and nice, thanks again.
Great story man I’m from upstate new York Rochester and it’s very similar right now I live in Vegas,Thank you for your service ,Blessings 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼.
Deputy Sloup. Thank you so much for sharing your family heritage it’s always interesting to learn about someone that you admire and respect. Your Dad looks like he’s in great shape and must work extremely hard fishing. Having all those childhood memories is what life’s all about. Thank you for being who you are and I’m sure your family is really proud of your accomplishments. Be safe and Evansville,Indiana is watching you and enjoying every episode of Friday’s with Frank.👍🙏🇺🇸🙏👍 We do totally back the police Sheriff departments
Absolutely Beautiful Video!!!
God bless your dad. I miss mine. He was born in Buffalo and met mom in Brooklyn.
Two city folk raised this country boy and I taught them woodstoves and deer meat. RIP mom and dad
Oh Wow Frank , Thanks for the tour 🙏 Looks like a very nice little town . Looks Nothing like the New York we Always see on TV . I like your town 🙏🙏❤️😉
So cool sharing with us... Thank you Frank and all involved filming so cool going on this You Tube journey.... Cherish every moment with your father.. I lost mine two years ago... My dad was a fisherman, hunter and all the things.... I can just smell the fresh air.... Just beautiful.... Have fun be safe ❤
Great video Frank. Thank you for sharing that part of your life with us! I appreciate your service to Pinal County, the State of Arizona and the United States! 🇺🇸
You're awesome for bringing us along on your trip. Spending time with family is important. Especially when they get up in age.
Enjoying Those Special Moments Because You’ll Never Know The Value Of A Moment Until It Becomes A Memory🌹With Much Love & Aloha🤙🏽🌹
Aloha To Sheriff Lam🌹🌺🌹
First video of yours that I ever watched I knew right away you were a fellow New Yorker. Just had a feeling and when you mentioned Islip in a later video I always hoped you'd take us back for a visit. We might move away, but when we return it's like no time has passed. Cherish those memories and make new ones. Thanks, Frank!
Loved this. Thank you. Spend lots of time with your dad. 💙
Thanks frank. I’m on Long Island. Born and raised in Farmingdale. You need to show people the north and south folks. I’ve always tell my grown kids. You need to see how big Long Island is. It’s amazing. Thanks for a great video.
nicely done Frank....thanks for letting us see the inner circle
Kunigunda is derived from the Germanic words “gund” meaning “war”, “fight” or “battle” and “kunni” meaning “clan” or “family”. Kunigunda means “fighter for her clan”.
That makes sense since the town he is in is Islip Terrace, formerly known as Germantown.
Thanks for sharing !!!
So glad you shared this with us. And, yes, I would love to see more videos like this. You are truly blessed to still have you parents. Cherish every moment you can get with them. Much love, from Ohio
Hey Frank! Sayville resident here! Love seeing you share the Fire Island , Great South Bay, Robert Moses area! hard to believe the son of a bayman who grew up on the water would find his way to living in a desert! quite a contrast ! most of us who grew up on the Island couldn't imagine living far from the shore!
Thanks for the tour. Sounds like a great youth. Playing in the woods as kids is the best thing. If only youth today did that, we would have a better world.
Children aren’t ruining the world, adults are
@@bwd480 Did I say children were ruining the world?
I loved this video! 👏🏻Thoroughly enjoyed hearing about family and seeing where you grew up. We love you….stay safe.❤️
No wonder why you are such a "Rock Star" that turned out "right" your parents know what work ethic is, morals and raising your kids "right" is all about! You are such an awesome guy and appreciate what family is and how you were brought up. Love family history and how you appreciate it and respect it. We are part of a dying breed.
Great walk down memory lane, love the heritage Frank very cool
It always feels good to go back home. I lived in Southern California for almost 25 years. Two weeks after retiring, I packed up and moved back home in the midwest. Every day is amazing being back with family and old friends. Enjoy those special times with your Dad, and keep those memories tucked away in your mind.
How cool!!! The kind of New York that we don't expect to see. Looking forward to seeing the rest of your time with your dad. Give him an extra hug, those days go too quickly.
Welcome back to the great Empire State of New York Frank!! Love this!! I live in the lower Hudson Valley area of New York. About 60 miles north of Manhattan. However I’m frequently traveling to East Meadow, Long Island to visit my Godfather who has always helped me and showed me how to fish and crab. Those houses on Long Island were all built in the early 50’s. Thanks for letting us into a little more into your personal life Frank. Enjoy every moment you have with your family. Tomorrow is not promised.
WOW, what a contrast from lush green and water to the desert.
It was a nice break!
Thanks for the tour, Frank.
Love it , THANK YOU FRANK AND SAM
Thanks for watching!
This is a value added gem about humanizing a realist. Good piece.
Thank you for sharing a part of your life.
Im a fan of you and your stops. We need more officers like you. Im from Huntington and work in Wantagh but had no clue you were from LONG ISLAND
KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!
I have not been back "home" to Olympia, Washington since both my parents died 3 months apart from each other in 2019. I appreciate the drive around Long Island. Enjoy time with your dad. The last cognitive conversation I had with my dad, he asked "are you interviewing me?". I held back tears and said yes, as he was slipping away to dementia (as did mom who died first). It was a conversation I wish I had 30 years ago. Frank, enjoy your visit, soak in everything you can. If you can record a conversation with him, either audio or video.
Thanks for sharing Frank! 🙏✝️🇺🇸✝️🙏
What an awesome place to grow up! Thanks for showing us your hometown, Frank, I loved it. I’m looking forward to the fishing video. That shot of the bay at sunset was breathtaking.
I have fond memories of spending time with my dad fishing as well. Took me for the first time at 4 years old. I remember that day, and my dad took a picture of me that I still have. September 6th marked 11 years since my dad passed away😢. Enjoy this time, Frank. Thank you for sharing🙏
Thanks for sharing 👍. I grew up in South Jersey on the Delaware, and my grandfather had a small boat marina on the ocean side of NJ. Heartwarming going down memory lane. I lived in Durango Colorado for a few years and loved it there, but I sorely missed the bays and ocean, all the leafy trees, seafood, fresh veggies, and fruit. Now I live in stinking Ohio, lol. The closest city, Cincy, and it is nice for a city. The best part of Ohio is the small village I live in. There's about 1000 people, with a real barber pole n all.9 churches. Have an enjoyable stay
What a wonderful 9 minutes to spend learning about Sheriff Frank. Now we see his roots and why he’s such a compassionate human being. 🙂👍😇👮🏻♂️🚓
Wait he's a sherrif now?
@@TechInspected Hello Mr. Tech, Yes Frank has always been a Sheriff. In one of his episodes, he told a motorist the difference. He’s a cool cop! 😀😎👍👮🏻♂️🚓
@@dennisammann9104 No, he is a deputy.
@Dom-e92 yeah I thought Mark Lamb was the sheriff?
@@dennisammann9104 he's deputy sheriff. the current Pinal County Sheriff is Sh. Mark Lamb
Absolutely Awesome I knew I liked you for More than just your Road patrol videos.... I was born and raised in east islip. I am 55 now and have lived in Naples florida for 26 years. I used to go clamming with friends for extra money in the summer just off of East Islip Marina.. There is.
So much to talk about.. In regards to growing up in East Islip.Looking forward to your next video.
What a neat place to grow up in! I miss Corpus Christi, Tx. EVERY day. Enjoy your folks while you can!
That’s awesome Frank, thanks for sharing. Enjoy the cooler weather and enjoy the time with your parents
Love this. Aslo fantastic quality video. Full budget documentary quality. Keep em coming.
Sam is pretty good at his job.
@FrankSloup True that. From a 13B army vet going into a hopeful career with my local sheriff department, thank you for what you do sir.
Thanks!
Nice vacation Frank. Nice to see more about your dad and childhood
I’ve been watching your videos on Facebook for at least a year now. I can’t believe you grew up in East Islip on Union Blvd! I also went to East Islip High School (Class of 2017). I’ve lived on Alan St my whole life, and less than a half mile away from where you grew up! The East Islip marina is a great place to go and we do have great delis around here for egg sandwiches. I played soccer in high school and college.
Fantastic! Thanks!
thank for taking us home again digging clams at low tide from the sandbars and grilling with cocktail sauce....opened one for my dog and she dug her own and barked till opened Hampton Bays
Fishing with Frank! Love it!
Lordy, I wish I could go "home," but those areas are no longer safe, nor is the state. How lucky you are to be able to do so, let alone record and share it! Thank you!
Thank you for sharing a little bit more about your background with us 😊
Hey Frank, besides me, you're the only other driver on long island that took a turn into the CORRECT lane. Ty 😁.
Love this, Frank. Thanks!
Frank, you can feel the memories streaming through your thoughts as you relive those great childhood experiences. Grew up in West Islip class of 1983. Not a better region around to have a childhood. Enjoy the family and friends. You’re a great person as we all can see from your videos . Your parents should be very proud of you. Stop by Port Jeff to say hello!👍
Oh man, I haven’t been back to East Islip in many many years, but I remember it well! My grandmother lived on Suffolk Lane, her old home was Hewlitt School and all my summers were spent there since my dad taught school here in South Florida. So many stories, so much fun, I really had the best childhood.
So nice. And beautiful. Thank you for sharing where you use to live. It is beautiful
Great story Frank, It’s amazing to see Deer in Nassau County now. I remember as a kid in the 80’s hearing about deer sightings by Jones Beach. I had Yellow Deer Carcass Tags from NY DEC in my Marked Unit where I worked because of all the MVA’s. It was culture shock for a city resident see a Deer being dispatched by my service pistol to prevent further suffering after being hit by a motor vehicle.
Today was the first time I drove a car on my own and my first thought was instantly Friday's with Frank. Even though I'm Canadian😂 I must say 1) it is weird not needing to have someone in the car with me 2) I am super proud of myself no tickets no accidents and I even drove right by a speed trap which means I did everything right! Even had blinker fluid and wouldn't you know it they actually worked lmao.
Keep up the good work sir and I hope you enjoy(ed) your much needed and well earned vacation
Hi Frank, I’m not a native New Yorker by any measure of the means, but my aunt lived on Long Island for 30 years in Commack. I would always stay in Merrick Long Island with my uncles mother who is still alive at the age of 100. Those are some of the best memories I’ve had in my adult life. There’s just something about New York and Long Island. I live in the Midwest and I know that I’ll never be able to live out there. You enjoy your vacation and thank you so much for sharing with those of us that either don’t get there or don’t get there very often.
Super video, thanks for sharing your hometown Frank!
Refreshing and relaxing and the best part it is with your dad. Blessings
I worked for state parks on Long Island for many years. It's great to see the area and its natural assets from your point of view. Now I want to make a trip back. Keep up the good work.
What a great way to grow up. Thanks for sharing
I live on the East End of LI now, but 43 years ago moved to Babylon Village, next village West of East Islip. Saw a lot of the same bays I remember in the video. The South Shore of LI is a water man’s dream. What a great place to grow up. Can’t wait for the next installment. Great that you brought Sam along. Great video.
🌻Thank you for sharing your stories growing up on Long Island. Sounds and looks like it was really fun and interesting growing up there. That said, I do not get bored watching your channel.🤓
2:00 min he didn't come to a FULL stop lol. Cool to see you back home. Kings Park NY (North Shore) let's grab a beer my treat.
Sadly he did, it was only for 4 frames but it was a full stop. He would fine me for doing that though....lol
Amazing. Thanks for sharing!
I love this kind of content, thank you for sharing so much of your past
I need to go visit my aunt in Islip soon. Thanks for the tour. Great stories, hunting, fishing, woods and forts - what a great life.
What a great place to grow up! Thanks for sharing this.
Thanks for watching and subscribing!
This was really fucking cool. It was really cool that he felt comfortable enough to share this.
I love these sorts of narrated journeys. Your voice resemble Mike Rowe. You’re a natural Frank!
Stunning my favorite deputy ...Stunning where you are...enjoy every single moment.....eating all this nice fresh seafood ...hmmmm.
This is a great video ....interesting to listen to your stories about your childhood...lovely memories. ........

Thank you for sharing part of your life.😊 Please stay safe and may God always have your six.
Frank, I lost my Mother back in the mid eighties and my Dad in 2017. I would give anything to see Mom and Dad just one more time. Cherish the time together, cause time stops for no man. Thanks for the memories and above all be careful out there, watch your six, and keep your powder dry. Wuzzfuzz for over 30 years. Thank God I made it to retirement.
Glad to see this. I lost my dad four ago. Enjoy what time you have.
You can never get to know Frank too much.
Outstanding! I too am a Suffolk County kid. I kind of miss Long Island.
It is always good to go back home and reflect.
My 11 year old son and I always enjoying watching from Michigan. Safe Travels.
Welcome home Deputy👍Sloup!
