12 bar blues is a masterpiece.
He was our Gen-X rock hero. I always considered him to be our American David Bowie. He was a shooting star while he was here. I miss him and his voice.
Um no. Maybe for late Gen X'ers, but not for most Gen X'ers. Not even close.
I fucking adore Scott Weiland but I personally think Kurt Cobain is the Gen-X Rock Hero
Above all though, Hank Hill is the true hero and example for Gen-X.
He went downhill fast.
@@KadeBronson Heroin will do that. He had a longer run than Kurt and Layne if nothing else
@@rawkguy4896 To each their own, but I'll take Scott over Kurt any day of the week.
12 Bar Blues was really a work of art that was easily ignored at the time when the world wasn't quite ready for Scott's full potential rather than being concerned of his troubled addictions.
This album is incredible, no radio hits but very inspired for sure.
It sucked
Probably not a giant hit, but I know Q101 in Chicago played this song a decent amount when it came out. They also played Mockingbird Girl a lot (but the version from the Tank Girl soundtrack).
"Can't you see?? It's a disease?? He really poured his heart out with that line. Verse makes me feel, like he was asking all of us, to forgive him, for his substance abuse problem. Then the "Selfish POS" verse...is him, taking accountability for his mistakes. Just a goose bump song and video every time I watch it. R.I.P Scott. We love and miss you so much!!!❤
Are you Danny Amendola the football player?
@@jiveassturkey8849Unfortunately Mr. J.A.T., I am not, thee, #80, Danny Amendola. But I did manage to play and win, 2 little league titles, between(9-12)yr. old. Plus,1 slow pitch softball championship, back in(2004). Not quite as notable as the 2 Super Bowl Championships, but who's jealous?
@@danielamendola597 you can paint me jealous. I played little league. My team completely sucked.
@@jiveassturkey8849 Don't feel bad Mr. J.A.T. , Barry Bonds lost every freakin' championship series that he ever played in. He lost the Little League World Series on t.v. , then lost the College World Series, on t.v. , and last but not least, he lost the MLB World Series, on the t.v. That is just a horrible career, (imo). Never achieving any championships whatso ever, while being such a star athlete.
He is a man with superpowers. He came from another planet and bankrupted the casino. Then MIB came, took him away and sent him back.
So many Bowie References here.
Love the Album 12 Bar Blues
His first solo album was amazing!
U may not be here physically, the music lives on.😢😢😢😢😢
Damn drugs , damn alcohol , damn addictions , damn depression . They kill wonderful persons...
You can’t blame all those things for such a terrible song.
@@ragebait988 I was talking about lifes. But , i like this song too ...
What a great single and album.
Loved him. His voice and dancing were epic. RIP❤️
Rest In Peace Scott! 😢🖤🤘🏼
What an insane talent. What a tragic tale. What a legend.
So good. 12 bar blues was amazing.
SCOTT = GENIUS
Wow! Finally the HD version! I've been watching the crappy version for like 15 years! RIP Scott.
I couldn't believe my eyes at first. About damn time!
Can’t wait for the 12 Bar Blues vinyl!
When???
@@MrErock7 came out on Record Store Day 2023. I got a copy. It’s glorious!
I snuck in to an out door STP show in S.F. at Fort Mason around 2010. So Rad and glad I got to see them !!
Just beautiful. Scott we miss you 😢
We miss you Scott!!!
Serious Bowie vibes.
of course. He deliberately did this entire video as an homage to David's film "the man who fell to Earth"
very Man Who Fell To Earth
Weiland leyenda !!! 🇨🇴🤘
This is one of those albums that’s best to have on vinyl. Just a front to back experience.
This guy was a bonafide Rockstar..... probably the last of that era......with Chester I think nailing that coffin......there s still Corey ,Myles, etc but yeah he had that presence
Corey Taylor? Are you serious?
I fucking love Slipknot and Stone Sour but Corey has nothing on Scott
Josh Todd.
Weiland forever!! I feel this song so much ❤. He was a genius and will remain eternal 🔥
90s eras thee best
💔💔💔💔💔💔 lovely Scott
Der Anblick unter dem Solarium!❤ bin verliebt in dieses Gesicht
That song means more and more every time I hear it… his best song of all time forsure.
Saw him live supporting this album.
I love this song so much. Love that this popped up for me today. Always was a favorite and a teenage crush😊
Great and unique Scott 🛸
Beautiful soul I love you and miss you so much I will never forget you 💖💋💋💋
Great voice and songwriter! Miss u ❤
luckly i have this record: simply a jewel...
This song is so underrated.
I don't know why but this song and video seems to be more fit for today's music landscape. Back then it was perhaps too weird and not what was expected from an alternative rock/ grunge artist.
All the greatest artists were so ahead of their time that people didn't really start to appreciate it until years later. Scott Weiland's probably one of the biggest examples of that. Obviously STP were great, and people definitely appreciated their work when it first came out, but I think people probably expected similar from Scott when he went solo and weren't happy when he defied their expectations.
I love this but at the same time it makes sad that he isn't here anymore😢
He has resuscitated.
❤
3:50 weird Stagecoach/Vegas shooting vibes with the hotel window curtain blowing, same spot too...I'll go take my meds now
The ladies at Warmington sure loved you Scott ❤
Musical genius. Rest in power scott
Took me by surprise! Didnt expect to find this Remaster HD version. Love it! So many memories!
JUST AMAZING! love you SCOTT ❤
Love this recording. A voice like no other.
Yay, Scott Weiland's back alive, kind of.
I love 12 Bar Blues.
I love him so much.
I missing him
A legend....
Here He and his voice were in Great shape
RIP
In late 97 and early 98 he was in a good shape, sadly he started to struggle again when the 12 Bar Blues tour started, but his voice was still badass
That is an amazing solo album😎
I spent a week helping mix this song
Love STP and Velvet Revolver, but this is the best song Weiland ever did.
Me too, i just prefer solo Weiland over STP or VR, i think It was the most authentic version of Scott...
There is a reason this album was so good, both Peter DiStefano and Martyn LeNoble from Porno for Pyros became his guitar and bass player. They are phenomenal songwriters and musicians, this was actually a rock supergroup. But with guys that are very humble rather than ego driven.
Legend ❤
One of his best tracks IMO wish there were more live versions
Ahh yes, another tune from the late 90s - the best years of my life!
If you were born in the 70s, you would know that the music of the 80s is unsurpassed.
Great music, amazing vocals and beautiful video !
And all the tangerines, they taste like jellybeans - this must be boring by now.. Ah man, what a song. I miss you SW.
💫 Definitely Ziggy Stardusty Vibe🌟 & who didn't 💕 the movie with Rachael Welch Poster🥰
Cosmic
RHINO: thanks for posting. Love the slide guitar at 3:27. Cheers!
Gorgeous, beautiful man.
😍💭
Why is this just now being uploaded?? It's amazing!! ❤
"I'll stay at home 'cause I'm the mouse" -- what do you make of that lyric? I know everyone has theories about how this song is about his addiciton/marriage/beliefs etc. But that one line just really gets to me, and I wondered what anyone else gets from it.
speaking from someone in the throws of the same addiction i believe hes referring to social anxiety. the feeling of being small and undeserving to be in the company of other people. better to stay home and get high. not saying this is a good thing but..i understand what hes saying.
The Man Fall on Earth …Bowie
Masterpiece
This is a interesting video
😢 un bello video para canción tan chingona y hermlsa de Weiland 🙄🙏🏽🤟🏾😐
I really miss him! 😢
Tremenda rola!!!!

I really liked this album from day 1. Still do. I wonder what else is coming with the "Deluxe" re-issue. I have the original Atlantic promo version and the original commercial release.

Very David Bowie-ish. Love it!
Miss you my friend!! But as Doc put it, "he was just too high strung". A butterfly in a storm.
Very David Bowie-esque
Bravo è davvero ciao 🖐

I heard it's being re-released soon. On Laserdisc.
only saw one laser disc my entire life. glad things got..smaller
weiland doesn't get enough credit for accidentally inventing The Killers in 1998
Divider video oficial pliss 😊
Like a David Bowie.
👏👏👀👀💯💯
Somebody likes David Bowie and Gary Numan.
OMG so much truth in this video!ppl have no idea man about egypt is here all of its here man it's hard to explain it sound like it makes no sense but if ya get it makes perfect sense
the remnants of atlantis; the dark magicians and their schools of mystery, masters of programming and manipulation, and the very same bloodlines that now control our nation, and of course the music industry. was he telling us things?
SCOTT's L,egend lives On....hell yes...
Love you, Scott🙏🏻🤍
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😅 oh I said was higher is that gd 😃🌞🍭
Oh brother
scott sobrevive a un choque desde el universo, pero no a una sobredosis xd
I totally have no memory of this video. It totally takes away from the feeling/meaning of the song.
