- Y’all. My shower grout was DISGUSTING!!! I finally took to the internet for what to do and decided to try Zep Grout Cleaner and Brightener and WHOA!! This stuff really works!!!! If your bathroom grout is in need of some heavy duty cleaning, this is the video for you!
I bought it and could barely read the small print but was aware of the warnings. Thank you for making it so clear and simple! I'm ready to start.
Not sure why it got a thumbs down but thanks for the honest video I plan to spend next weekend doing my floors.
As a tile professional I recommend you remove all the grout in the change of planes areas (all corners inside and out) and replace it with 100% silicone color matching caulk.
With that much tile, its time to get the hubs in there to help. Get a brush for him, too.
Yeah no kidding. Mine is a huge contributor as to why it is not white anymore. I’ll be doing this after I get done with work.

More grout than tile. I would already remove them and place extra extra large tiles so your grout becomes less
I've got a huge 8x8 foot master shower that's all tile and grout. I keep a bottle of great value mold and mildew spray in there and hit the grout every time I see a bit of that mold. Although my shower is only scrubbed well twice a year, after five years, it still looks like it did when we built it.
The only issue I do have is soap scum. The cleaner that I was using did keep that under control, but eventually did eat through the grout and etched the natural stone touches I had mixed with the ceramic. So it's back to scrubbing for me. smh
When you get this completely clean you'll have to go back and reseal the grout because you said you used toilet bowl cleaner . Anything thats acidic will strip the sealant causing more dirt to accumulate, never use acidic cleaners on grout. This stuff works great so does a steam cleaner without stripping
on the back of the Zep bottle: ""This is a very strong acid product..."
You should reseal any time you strip grout.
Well no shit lady, her grout probably isn’t sealed anyways and 99% with sealed grout never maintain it so their grout is dirty as shit because the sealer is gone. Reeeee
I have used both. Hands down, the Zip was 100% better than a steam cleaner.

Me using Zep after getting out of the shower and without reading all the warnings! Literally ran myself out of the bathroom because of the fumes! The results seem to be worth it! Someone check on me in 1/2 an hour! 😂 TY for the video!

Great job! I just use thick liquid bleach that we have in the UK. But the fumes !!! Lordy!!!

I use mine outside on the concrete where the grease was & I let it sit 5 mins then swept it back & forth then the grease was pulling up fast,it was even on the broom
You. can rent a grout cleaner machine at Lowes.

Half the problem on the internet, no one shows anything real. It’s not like we all don’t have built up tile grout occasionally. I love the guts.
You scrubbing a little too much for me. I'm looking for a product with easy up and less scrubbing
You're supposed to agitate it and then leave it for 3 minutes, so pour it & with a brush Scrub it around and then leave it 3 minutes.
I have used clorox gel toilet bowl cleaner. Put an attachment on a drill that does the scrubbing, then moped with clean water and sucked it up with my bissel. Did ok but I'm going to try this ! Tx

If there was a way to get the off your hands and knees and getting drenched in the rinse water. One of your prep steps should be put on your swim suit and dive in. 😂
I have a large tile bathroom like yours. When we built house 5 years ago my number one rule was to squeegee the tile after shower, including floor, and take a towel and dry it. Takes about 5 minutes but it’s been sooo worth it! Including our glass wall. It’s all about making general cleaning much easier!

Thank you for raking the time to make this video I did not know this solution existed. I am a custodial supervisor and the bathrooms at my job will be cleaner people will be happier knowing the bathrooms appearing yo be clean. the grout is black but doing some scrubbing I discovered it is actually white. Yep disgusting.

I just bought this stuff yesterday but now I’m scared to use it because of all the warnings on the label. Certain tiles are a no-no and I just moved into my home and I have no idea what type of tiles they used.
I have new tile on the floor like urs dark brown i use ajax n scrub i messed it up...the ajax stain the tile now its white it doesn't come off
I was going to use this cleaner, but the ingredients looked more caustic than I wanted in my bathroom, but it worked for you.
That shower stall looked like Oscar the grouch from Sesame Street once lived there 😉.

I Hope that was not natural tile...it will damage natural stone. Next time get a drill brush...a lot easier :)

Great results. Next time get a pole grout cleaner brush that is already on the pole or can screw to one such as a broom or mop handle so you don't have to stoop down.

Looks promising, for cleaning that is usually so tedious. My grout appears discolored from soap scum, as it is white in appearance, compared to the beige color of unaffected tile and grout. The price gives me some pause, but the results from your video and the pictures of reviewers of the product on Amazon has me putting this in my Amazon cart for further consideration. Thanks for the demonstration.
