I noticed that you didn't use gloves this time to protect your hands. Also I wear a N95 mask if I use any cleaners that might irritate my lungs. N95 masks do a great job of protecting my lungs from harmful fumes or if I clean in an enclosed space like a shower. If you haven't tried the N95 mask try it while cleaning using bleach or foul smelling cleanups for lungs and nose will thank you. Some cleaning solutions cause permanent damage to lung tissue. I first learned about N95 masks when I was fitted for wearing them on nursing rotations for school.
Seems like its more important for you to show your manicure than tell us which cleaner works best on cleaning grout.
if you seal the grout after cleaning, it will stay clean much longer. Stonetech is the best. I also use an office style chair with rollers instead of hands and knees.
I tried this lime away suggestion on my kitchen floor and it worked great. I never would’ve thought to use this product. I use a brush with a long handle. This is easy and quick. Thank you!

You need to seal the grout once cleaned and fully dried...once a year to help keep it clean. 🌞
The best I've seen is Pine Sol... pure strength. Cheap too. And it is instant. No waiting. Just spray and scrub.
This worked great. The only thing I did different was use a straw broom to scrub the grout after I let the Clorox gel stuff soak for a bit. I didn’t have to get down on the floor to do the clean up of the Clorox. I did my kitchen in minutes and will move on to the rest of the rooms.

Very cool. We think alike, I'm a housekeeper and always looking for these kind of hacks. I noticed that some water from a water fixture that had lime scale remover cleaned the grout by accident. So I connected the dots to try it in a spray bottle, similar to your solution. It comes out insanely white the longer you leave it on. I also have the libman spray mop! Def subbing to your channel ha. Seems like with grout, it's not just the "dirt" but the scale build up from mopping (the hard water in my case).

Quarantine has me reevaluating my cleaning skills. Everyone always compliments me on my house...but these last few weeks has me bored and nitpicking. My GROUT has me ashamed. I’ll try the Lime Away for my grout but when I’ve used vinegar and baking soda it’s worked great also but try using an old toothbrush! It also works amazing ladies and gents

I got a narrow brush with about a 1 foot handle at dollar store and it works great. Also for mop boards.
Yep. spray w vinegar. wait 5 min. mix dish soap water and baking soda. Scrub. Clean. Dry. Seal.
My daughter suggested using toothpaste to clean grout. Haven’t don’t it yet. My real problem is cleaning the caulking in the bathroom and around the back splash in the kitchen. The pain of apartment living. Thank you for help.
I noticed you using a drain cleaner from Dollar Tree. I'll tell you what I use, as all my guys (2 grown sons and husband) have beards and plenty of body hair... I actually have to NAIR my husband's back. So, I take the leftover NAIR and put it in the bathroom sink(s) or bath/shower drain, just leave it for 20 - 30 minutes and flush with hot water. No other fuss or yuck!
I just cleaned my grout. I used LA’s Totally Awesome All Purpose cleaner. Find it at the Dollar Store. Spray, rub (not scrub) with sponge and mop up. Very easy.

I have tried lime away but in my opinion, the Clorox Tilex mold & mildew works wayyyyy better.

Andrea: Clorox Gel Bathroom bowel cleaner, gel allows you to go right on the grout,McCullough steamer with wand and scrubbing brush,Towel to wipe up as you go, steam whole floor after treatment is done. Boom done. P.S. wear gloves
Fuller Brush grout and tile brush comes to a point in the middle, head tilts back and forth. Available at Amazon, screw into standard broom or mop handle. After scrubbing, MOP up...No hands and knees for me...almost 70 years old, LOL.

I've never tried Lime Away but I have tried the bleach gel method and a brush. It works much better than using a sponge scrubber. Now I use Pine Sol with some bleach to clean the floor and if I have some dirty grout t use the scrub brush on those areas. It's a lot quicker!!

Live in FL where everything is tile. Just mop my floors with mild bleach solution and a little borax to deter insects. Do this every time the floors need cleaning. Ny grout looks good all the time. No special grout attack needed.
You mix the borax and bleach?
Yes. There is no reaction whatever. Like mixing bleach and soap.

I always wear a mask when I clean helps you not inhale the fumes. Resolve carpet cleaner in the can will also clean grout .Sealing your tiles is he best way to keep the grout clean 🧽

Okay, so I need to to know your favorite option. Is it the Borax? I have a small area and am curious to know what to do that will work best.
Made a great fast grout cleaner while fooling around: Background: White tile kitchen floor, grout never cleaned in 23 years. Everyone uses my side door which leads directly into the kitchen. Grout lines were black. After reading about various products, decided to experiment. I dunked a tooth brush in hydrogen peroxide and lightly ran the wet---not dripping, just damp, brush along the grout lines. I then used another toothbrush and used a small amount of the pink stuff and ran that lightly over the wet grout--covering it, but not scrubbing, just covering the wet grout.
Of course I had to try not waiting at all, so I used a clean toothbrush and very lightly scrubbed the grout. To my amazement, the grout became white---not light grey, not just better than it was, but WHITE----yes, I had white grout. Wiped the products off with a damp cloth and could not believe my eyes. For reference, I used a soft toothbrush, and did not scrub hard---or even slightly hard.
Tried the pink stuff alone---grout was cleaner, but certainly not white. Tried the pink stuff first then slightly dampened another toothbrush with hydrogen peroxide and scrubbed.: That method produced good results, but needed harder scrubbing and much more time working the products in. So my first way was the easiest and produced the best possible results.
Guess it pays to read up about what various products can be used for, and then giving them a try. You might just find a winner.
Get a grout brush that attaches to a long handle at home depot, no bending !!!

Cool I’ll have to try that I use bleach for cleaning grout and it’s the only thing that seems to work for me but it’s very strong and it’s chemicals and I have a kitty that I don’t want to get sick so it’s a little risky but it does work wonders.

i also have used Microban 24 hour bathroom cleaner as gets the germs out. But disclaimer alert folks.....cannot say if it is recommended for grout. I have heard 7 percent PH but none of this stuff says what the PH is on any of the labelling.

Thanks for the info, but dear, why would you not just pour the cleaner in a plastic container and use a small brush to simply paint it on. The whole thing can be coated in less that 5-6 minutes? I hope I helped.

Denture brushes are perfect for scrubbing grout. As I said in a comment on the other video I use my rug doctor. The water I dump dump from the rug doctor comes out almost black.

I used the lime a way toilet bowl thick gel formula... and it work in seconds
Applied it the with a dry spring swiped it a few times pulled up everything mopped it with a wet mop and noticed it looked like it kept working so I passed over with the sponge again and it pulled up more it only took about 5 minutes do my my kitchen..

Andrea Jean Cleaning we had glass shower enclosures installed last year and were told not to use ammonia or bleach to clean the shower b/c it would ruin the finish on the glass and metal parts, plus ruin the caulking. Any ideas?

i've used that stuff in my shower and noticed the blue color of the grout coming out in the scrubbing almost as if its dissolving the grout...

Question, will lime away eat grout over time? Even if sealed can the protective layer dissolve and expose unprotected grout?
sealer can be removed by mopping and chemicals, but it will keep dirt from getting into the pores of the grout, hence easier to clean

Why not use an old tooth brush to scrub the grout really well?
If you used the liquid lime away let it sit for an hour or more remove the product trust me you'll have white grout.

I use shark steam cleaner using distilled water, so easy
Use a grout brush so you don’t have to keep bending down
Use a straw broom to scrub the cleaner..then I used a flat mop with the terry cloth covers that I used and removed and rinsed and repeated.

I have sealed my grout many times. It only lasts a little while, maybe a year at most. The grout problem is still there.

I use hydrogen peroxide. It is close to a PH of 7 and seems to get it clean but again disclaimer alert.

Never scrub grout by hand again. Buy a set of drill brushes. You’ll wonder why you never used them before.

@@sandyjonas5195 you could order them off Amazon or Lowe’s, Home Depot just about anywhere. There are several brands out now. I’ve had mine a couple of years. They are probably all about the same. If you have any trouble or need help ask again and I’ll try to help.

Scrubing with somthing harder or even a toothbrush would probably give beter results. Don't get me wrong it looks better but if your going to do it you should use elbow grease.

I don't mean to be really negative but down use any of that on your floor. Number one issue is grout sealer and how often it is applied. Second is we all grab a wet mop/pad and smear the dirt into the grout. Considerably worse using Febreze mops because it coats the dirt with a wax. All the easy clean products don't care that it damages your floor they just want your money. It's takes longer but vacuum the floor with a brush head first then use a neutral floor cleaner from a tile store or just clean warm water.
I am curious why you are using lime away in the laundry room when you used Clorox toilet bowl cleaner in the kitchen???

How to clean grout...don't have tile. I have tried everything to seal after scrubbing to get clean and it never seemed to work for very long so had to scrub it all over again. When we build, we won't have a bit of tile anywhere in the house and that includes backsplashes and showers. Don't get me started on carpet either, lol.

Lime away seems to work well, another poster commented about drill brush. She is 100% correct your videos have way to much labor involved in most of your projects. Drill brush+Bissell $49 steam cleaner and mop. Tile floor would be spotless with very little labor, your on your hands and knees or bending over time after time? Thanks for your videos but one should think of less labor with better results and have someone else like your husband pick up there STUFF.
Shes pregnant not bed bound or anything serious . Thank God ! Unless the Dr tells her not to be doing all that house work . Then i guess that's when ahe will have to kick.back and let her husband help her . Other then that i think she will be just fine and most likely have a easier labour and Delivery. So good luck with everything .
