Thanks! I try my best. It can be hard to find that balance because if you drive it too soft people get mad. If you drive it too aggressively people get mad. Just can't please anyone these days lol.
DeefBass how bad mate, I’ve never sat in one which is a concern at 6 foot 😂 but I saw one the other day or more accurately heard it before I saw it and now I’m 2 days deep in research 😂😂
hope its cool to say this, but you should probably let the car idle for 1min (ideally 2 min) before you start revving it and/or driving it...and try to wait for the temp to come up before driving it hard...
Casey Wilson ive had two, regretted selling my last one. Cheap to buy and feel a lot faster than the numbers suggest. Best sounding exhaust on any small hatchback.
That's actually just what they do. The "boost gauge" is actually the amount of boost the ECU is requesting, not the actual boost the engine is receiving. Also, you'll only see that boost gauge peak at 18psi below like 3500/4K RPM. Once you really mat it, it stays between 6-12psi, hovering around 9 as the revs climb. Mine always did that and it drove fine.
The Fiat 500 Abarth is not mine. When I spoke with the owner, he said he just had some minor issues. Although, no major issues. I believe the Abarth has about 80,000 miles.
It's a small car with a big personality. I wouldn't buy one without a warranty. Yeah you can get these really cheap for under $10,000, but I simply wouldn't trust the reliability. And the build quality is not that great. Though the car is an absolute joy to drive.
Get a Volkswagen Beetle with low miles, if you can find one. I’m talking about the last generation of the New Beetles (2011-2019). Oh, and get the VCDS diagnostic software with included OBD2 cable, and laptop for it.
You can definitely learn on an Abarth. The clutch is light and easy to modulate. One odd thing about the clutch is that the clutch travel is long. It's the first car I drove that really worked out my ankles lol. Other than that, you'll get the hang of it. Good luck man!
@@Alex-ch2ud I just bought one. Coming from a Miata, it feels big. It's taller, and you sit more upright, so it doesn't feel as small as it is. Any sporty car should feel smaller than a standard car, but this one isn't too bad.
I like your style, It seems like you are the type of guy who take someone's car for a ride and take care of it like the same way they cared about it.

I do want one of these.... Irish back roads would be fun.
Totally agree!!

what a nice car...
I may be wrong but I don't think it is in Sport mode as the instrument cluster generally has a G meter when it in sport..
It’s in sport, this a pre interior refresh year. You can see above the mileage it reads “sport”

False, letting an engine warm up at idle isn't good for it, due to oil pressure. BMW recommends driving it gently for proper warm up.
@@julienmalschaert5029FALSE, he said driving it hard not driving at all.
Got to have one

@@oddities-whatnot how's the drivetrain reliability and how easy are they to work on
Is it stock? Sounds nice, like it
Yes, it's stock.
Nice ride! love the Abarth! 10:10 you seem to have issues with boost. I had the same problem with mine
This is someone else's car haha. Yeah, the car had about 80,000 miles. So maybe there was some turbo issues, not sure.

It's not that loud with the windows up.

would it be a bad idea to learn manual with an abarth?

On the contrary it should be the perfect car! I haven't driven one but it looks to be quite a good example of a fun manual car
It'll be easier than most because it makes a lot of torque. Let's you take off at lower revs and is more forgiving.
@@dhichens it might be scarier to drive though since it's so tiny, I don't know though since I've never driven one
