bought the sugar65 after watching lewis' video on it. cost me roughly SGD$50 incl shipping for the kit. total with a keycap set and mz z1 switches i paid less than $SGD110. just for comparison, my previous tm680 build cost me roughly $180. sugar65 was better in every aspect.
Cycle8 (TKL) got announced on zFrontier about a week or 2 ago. It's looking like a cycle7 repeat in all the best ways, I know for sure I'm going to snag one for myself. The layout was the only thing keeping me from picking up a cycle7, so the same board in a TKL layout is an absolute slam dunk for me.
thanks for this year in review video! I’d say for gummy o ring, I think 65% boards do that mounting style a disservice because you lose some of the bounciness / feel because of having to wrap the o ring around the blocker. a 60% gummy o ring definitely feels more comfortable than a 65% in my experience! It’s not a mounting style that lends itself to lower pitched / muted sounds like a plate mounted gasket, but it can sound very clean imo!
Ordered the Sugar65 on Taobao after seeing your video, and got some Evangelion keycaps and MZ Z1 switches for it on Taobao as well. Overall it came out to around $70 SGD, and still waiting for the kit itself to arrive. Looking forward to it :)
i've tried switches like gateron ink blackv2, aquakings, boba LT but have sold them off cuz theyre mid. rn i have the prevail epsilons(super thocky and deep), prevail nebulas(smoother lighter version that isnt as thocky) but my FAVORITE SWITCH OF THIS YEAR HAS TO BE THE nlandkeys/ BSUN flower shadow switches. theyre entirely made of LY and is super duper smooth, light, bouncy/ responsive and thocky/ creamy. im using them stock(factory prelubed) and theyre as good as or even better than all the other switches i've mentioned above, u should def give them a try!!!!!!! it deserves more hype and recognition
It's not misleading. He DID do his top 5 switches. Also, everything is time-stamped, so just jump to the part with the switches, if that's what you're interested in. If you want more sound test without him talking, go watch the videos where he reviews the switches specifically... Feedback addressed! You're welcome!
Hey guys. I use Mac software and i'm not sure what keyboard to buy. I have a Keychron Q1 Pro right now but i'm looking to expand my collection! Please leave suggestions below if you can.
Feedback: might want to provide text graphics labeling the keyboard/switches you are talking about, you talk so fast and with the accent I heard very few keyboard/switch names clearly. Thanks for the video, nonetheless!
i just bought the hi75 like yesterday, im new to the keyboard scene, i didnt know it was a good keyboard for its price, i picked it up due to its sound ( a store in my city had them on display for me to try to type on it ), im pretty happy with my decision, now i just want a switch that can thock and fast for gaming, i was recommended to use the leobog graywood v4, so im using that for now, but if there are even faster switches that thock as well, pls recommend
The Glacier80 is one of those boards that I am kind of bummed on missing out on. Now that I have more money, I am considering picking it up off the grey market. Also can you not get a replacement LCD screen for the Zoom75?
Question about Vertex v1 studio switches... Are they can pass rgb light through? I like how they sound but I need rgb coz I often play games or work in a dark room.
So I need to look on something else. What switches you reccomend for low tocky sound that support RGB well? And are they need lubing or not? Thank you very much in advance. 👍
@@DuskoJovic For the same budget price range as Vertex, I would recommend Gateron G Pro 3.0. Not only they are super RGB friendly but also, they have pre-lubed for instant use if you don't have time or tools for modding.

Vertex v1 with 205g0 are my endgame switches so far. Deep, smooth, little wobble, and affordable. Great time to be in the hobby

Lots of amazing colors and this will be the last of the cycle series
I feel like the missing F13 is the biggest downside of the Cycle8
@@TemProduction Do you know if there will be a later GB for Europe?
@@BlueSaturnn yes international GB will happen maybe around March or April
That's my guess

@@LewisToh I have a question. Do you know a good store with parts for a keyboard that ships to eu with no import fees?

happy new year!
how do you have a top switches video without the names/text of said switches ANYWHERE?
Better mounting styles than Gummy Oring? Yeah right.
i would appreciate if you would make a best budget keyboard video similar to boardzy's best budget mouse video!
Will you end up reviewing Polar 65 anytime soon?
@11:36 if that is your board and you lubed the stabilizers, then there is way too much lube on them !
What's your keycaps with bunny?
which switches did you use for the glacier80?
the SOTC switches
Your personal channel link doesn't seem to be working?
Can u recommand me a good set of keycaps with english and japanese letters , purple, pink or blue color under 40$ ?

The glacier 80 was nice when i had it but theres a major issue. The middle seam is horrible by todays seamless/screweless standards.
Did u try the ws morandi switches? Or should I get the vertex v1s
U should try m71 is full aluminium and budget friendly with gasket
My Cycle7 shipping schedule is in mid-January and now there's Cycle8 that has TKL layout 😅

Question about Vertex v1 studio switches... Are they can pass rgb light through? I like how they sound but I need rgb coz I often play games or work in a dark room.
