    bought the sugar65 after watching lewis' video on it. cost me roughly SGD$50 incl shipping for the kit. total with a keycap set and mz z1 switches i paid less than $SGD110. just for comparison, my previous tm680 build cost me roughly $180. sugar65 was better in every aspect.

    Cycle8 (TKL) got announced on zFrontier about a week or 2 ago. It's looking like a cycle7 repeat in all the best ways, I know for sure I'm going to snag one for myself. The layout was the only thing keeping me from picking up a cycle7, so the same board in a TKL layout is an absolute slam dunk for me.

    thanks for this year in review video! I’d say for gummy o ring, I think 65% boards do that mounting style a disservice because you lose some of the bounciness / feel because of having to wrap the o ring around the blocker. a 60% gummy o ring definitely feels more comfortable than a 65% in my experience! It’s not a mounting style that lends itself to lower pitched / muted sounds like a plate mounted gasket, but it can sound very clean imo!

      @OJAbrey Год назад +3

      It's not misleading. He DID do his top 5 switches. Also, everything is time-stamped, so just jump to the part with the switches, if that's what you're interested in. If you want more sound test without him talking, go watch the videos where he reviews the switches specifically...
