Please relay that there wouldn't ever be demand if they don't run metro atleast till 8pm. People need to return home after work. If they won't run metros after 5pm, how are they to witness demand for it to change timings?

This metro has to run till 9pm to cater to the office time passengers.. Otherwise there is no use to run till 4pm.. If there has to be a gap it should be between 1 to 4pm
Is there any chance of getting metro stretched from Dumdum cantonment to Durganagar and further? Because only in the middle our Durganagar missing the metro. Even birati and there after all the stations are or will be getting the service. Please answer if you have any news.

@@sohomkundu7275 Even they know that rush hour is 7:30AM-9:30AM and 4PM-8PM, and they are missing the rush hour. But the truth is that they have not procured enough rakes and recruited enough drivers and workers at the stations. It is the same in Joka-Majerhat Metro. It is a ploy to say that there is not enough demand and delay more frequent service to cover up failure to provide effective service and hide plan for the future. They can easily increase rake, install proper signalling system and recruit employee and this will be a profitable line, but they wouldn't. They would run it to make loss then at some point use that as an excuse to privatise the Metro built on public money. Shame! But I think KMRC should have been a State-Central JV, or even better a State-Central-Private JV, not a Central project alone. It was a blunder.

That is out of picture for now, besides local trains also run on that route, for now the focus is on Esplanade Sealdah, NoaparaDum Dum Cantonment Yellow airport line, orange line extension. Barasat Line Barrackpore Line, Sector 5 to Teghoria Vip road via baguiati, majerhat -Esplanade are not are prioritised right now

Stations should be named only after their location.
They had to choose those ugly ICF medha for Line 6 for real nothing good can be expected from Indian railway

In 2026 New 85 ICF rakes will come which will be used for all lines. They should also use the Dalian rake on the Orange 🍊 line
